  • Easy Slider 1.7 - Show any numerical slide as next

    I am using Easy Slider 1.7 - jQuery plugin and have made many modifications. My slider contains 7 slides, numeric navigation and next and previous arrows. The only problem is the numeric navigation. When you are on slide 1 and click slide 5, for example, all the slides scroll by, one-by-one. I am having trouble modifying the code so that whatever slide you are on, when you click another slide, it is the next one. Sample here: http://www.weiserwebworld.com/slider.html

    Hi, I have been implementing a class which class extends ArrayAdapter and implements Filterable. The filtering part (in the performFiltering method()) seems to go ok, it fills the FilterResults object just as expected. But then I think I'm not doing it right on how to publish the results, atm I have : protected void publishResults(CharSequence prefix, FilterResults results) { // NOTE: this function is *always* called from the UI thread. subItems = (Vector)results.values; notifyDataSetChanged(); } But this simply won't "populate" my List with the received data. So now my question is how do I populate my List with the received results ? Do I have to do that programmatically ?

  • How to show controls hierarchy in Winform designer

    Hi, One of our client has an old winform application that contains forms with a lot of controls on them. Some of those controls have a deep hierarchy and that make it to hard to select them in the designer. I would need to understand this hierarchy to make modification and correct some bugs, is there a tools, plugin or something to be able to clearly see this hierarchy ? Something like in the aspx source when you have a breadcrumb of where you are in the HTML hierarchy (HTML Body div etc ...) or something more visual maybe ? Any ideas ? PS : we use Visual Studio 2008, .NET 2.0

    So. You know how when you click a post in the Google+ app, the entire View becomes blue. I want to do that as well, but with an ImageView. I have the following code snippet, setting the actual image as the background and the selector as the main resource. But in what cases can it be null? As I know if command returns nothing reader is not null, it only have nothing.

    Hi I am using a pool of 5 with jquery. So only 5 notifications should be shown. I think it would be nice to have maybe under the "close all" button to have a count like shown 5 of 20 notifications. To me it could get confusing if I keep closing notifications and new ones keep poping up. I might think there is some sort of problem with the site. Anyone know how to do this?

  • Google Maps API v3 show local businesses/points of interest

    I know at some point I'd come across a Google service built into their API that would provide local information as markers on the viewport (schools, hospitals, etc.)-- I believe this was a simple control that could be added just like the normal map controls, to allow users to turn it on or off with a checkbox or button. I can't seem to find this feature documented anywhere in the v3.0 API docs. Can anyone provide some information on this, or let me know if it was deprecated? Thanks

    Hi there guys! Hope your all enjoying your hollydays. Ive run into a pretty funny problem when trying to insert rows into a really really simple database table. The basic idea is pretty simple. The user selects one/multiple users in a multiselect which are supposed to be added to a group. This piece of code will insert a row into the user_group_relationships table, but the users id always @group = Group.find(params[:group_id]) params[:newMember][:users].each do |uid| # For debugging purposes. puts 'Uid:'+uid @rel = @group.user_group_relationships.build( :user_id => uid.to_i ) @rel.save end The user id always gets inserted as null even though it is clearly there. You can see the uid in this example is 5, so it should work. Uid:5 ... SQL (0.3ms) INSERT INTO "user_group_relationships" ("created_at", "group_id", "updated_at", "user_id") VALUES ('2010-12-27 14:03:24.331303', 2, '2010-12-27 14:03:24.331303', NULL) Any ideas why this fails?

They may be confusing at first but if one gets used to the syntax, it is much better than nested complicated for loops. With that said, please share with me some of the coolest uses of list comprehensions. (By cool, I just mean useful) It could be for some programming contest, or a production system.     I have a BlackBerry app that is built for 4.5.x SDK. The first page of the app shows a list of fields and each field can be highlighted and clicked. The click action shows a new view with additional information about the field. This all works fine in 4.5, 4.6 and 4.7 and on the sim with 5.0. On a real 9000 running 5.0, when clicking the trackball on an item in the list, the full menu is showing rather than the click event getting consumed (or even fired) for the field. The view is derived from MainScreen and looks something like this: public class ListView extends MainScreen { public ItemCollection list = new ItemCollection; protected void sublayout( int maxWidth, int maxHeight ) { int i = 1; while(( item == (Item)list.nextElement()) != null) { ItemField field = new ItemField(item, i++); add(field); } } } This class does not consume navigationClick, but shouldn't need to, right?     I'm trying to link to an all-inclusive FAQ page from various pages. The answers are contained in tags, nested within a line item of an unordered list housed by categories. The FAQ page has the following categories: Practical Nurse Exam Online Renewal Practice Hours etc. Under Practical Nurse Exam, there are sub categories, subjects, with questions below in tags that expand onClick. (e.g. Examination Day, Exam Results, etc.) Let's say I'm on a different page called Registration and there's a link to the FAQs for Exam Results. I'm able to link to the page and included the hashtag on the anchor or Exam Results, but it does not expand the subcategory. I've read this thread but it didn't work for me. Please help!
