  • Why Resource (.resx) file added on merely changing Form size and on adding button which is not resou

    1- Resource files suppose to be added on adding some resource in application like image or audio or video etc. But if I just change size of form a .resx file under that particular form. Changing size of form does not add any resource so why this .resx file. 2- I dropped a button on form and a resource file is included again this button is not some kind of resource, it is object created and having information in designer file. 3- A resource file added on dropping button on form but if I delete this resource file and run application it compile and run with NO error and button is still there. If this button has any relation with resource file then there must by some kind of compile or runtime error AND if .resx file has nothing to do with button then why it was added? I am using VS 2008.     I have a winform in witch I have a custom LongPanel with textboxes. In order to validate an eventually edited textbox when the user click somewhere out of textBoxY I use the following code: Private Sub LongPanel_MouseClick(ByVal sender As Object, _ ByVal e As MouseEventArgs) _ Handles MyBase.MouseClick _AttachedPanel.Select() End Sub In runtime application freezes at the "Select" line... I receive infinite panel Leave events(sender is a panel)... any idea why? EDIT: precision on panels parents: Form => SplitPanel => _AttachedPanel | _LongPanel (_LongPanel contains a reference to _AttachedPanel)

    I want to know that in particular string1 for which substring of the string1 the string2 matches.Like String str1="Order Number Order Time Trade Number"; String str2="Order Tm"; string regex = Regex.Escape(str2.Replace(@"\ ", @"\s*"); bool isColumnNameMatched = Regex.IsMatch(str1, regex, RegexOptions.IgnoreCase); I am using regex because "Order Tm" will also matches "Order Time".It gives bool value that matches occurred or not. But if it str2 is in str1 then I want to know at which position in the str1 the str2 matches. Like str2="Order Tm" then something like that returns the string which is matched with str2 in the str1.Here str2="Order Tm" then it should return like in the str1,Order Time is the substring where matches is occurred.

  • Crystal Report | Printing | Default Printer

    I am making one application where user will print invoices which I am displaying using Crystal Report. The user showed me his current application made using ForPro. In that application, under Printer Options form, one can see all the printers currently installed and the user could select default printer. When the invoice is made, the user presses the print button, then there is one dialog asking for no. of copies. When it's entered, the invoice gets printed directly, without any Print Dialog Box. If the user wants to change the printer again he/she will change it in the Printer Option form. I want to know if similar thing is possible in Crystal Report and need guidance on how to approach for it.

  • how to adjust sliding of scroll according to the value calculated by me?

    I am working on scroll. I have made a program wherein if the scroll box is in particular range of the panel then it automatically moves to a particular position in the slider. For eg, I have a panel of size 500. the scroll has height of 100. Now the total intervals are 5. Now if i slide the scroll box at a position 225 then i want that it automatically slides to the start of that interval that is at position 200. or if i slide to position 450 then instead of staying there it goes to position 400. Is it possible?

    I'm working on a windows forms application that uses a DataGridView. Some of the cells contain a DataGridViewComboBox. In some cases, I have several values to display in the combobox. For that scenario, it would be better to use a ListBox instead of a ComboBox. Is it possible to use a multi-column listbox within a DataGridView instead of a ComboBox?   • My.Settings not saving after install

    My application is not saving users settings after I install it. When I test my app in debug or release mode it works fine. However after compiling, linking and installing the My.Settings.Save() does not seem to be working. I can manually change a setting in the config file and the app runs accordingly. So I know it’s reading the config file on application startup. What am I doing wrong? Thanks
