Exception while running an EJB program [closed]

I'm a newbie to JEE. I have a properties file which has properties like: blog_loc=http://my.blog.com blog_name="my blog name" I open the properties file, change the blog_name property and save the file. How do you exclude yourself from Google Analytics on your website using cookies?

I'm trying to set up an exclusion filter with a browser cookie, so that my own visits to my don't show up in my Google Analytics. I tried 3 different methods and none of them have worked so far. I would like help understanding what I am doing wrong and how I can fix this. Method 1 First, I tried following Google's instructions, http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=55481, for excluding traffic by Cookie Content: Create a new page on your domain, containing the following code: <body onLoad="javascript:pageTracker._setVar('test_value');"> Method 2 Next, when that didn't work, I googled around and found this Google thread, http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Google%20Analytics/thread?tid=4741f1499823fcd5&hl=en, where the most popular answer says to use a slightly different code: SHS Analytics wrote: <body onLoad="javascript:_gaq.push(['_setVar','test_value']);"> Thank you! Agony and Spite facets on Hipmunk.com Vice facet on Hipmunk for Mobile Seems like a reasonable balance given that all you can do with business travel sometimes is just laugh about it! I first came to hipmunk.com through a paper presented by Oracle Fusion User Experience Advocate (or FXA) Sten Vesterli (@stenvesterli) at an Oracle Usability Advisory Board meeting in Geneva earlier in 2012. Nice! And there are lots of other powerful and edgy UX features in the solution too (Gmail calendar integration, contextual actions dialog box, and so on). Install Moodle to subdomain with Softaculous via cPanel

I installed Moodle to a directory with Softaculous. Since it doesn't allow installing to a subdomain, after installing it I created a subdomain and pointed the destination (of the subdomain) to the previously created Moodle directory. Now when I go to the subdomain.example.com it says Incorrect access detected, this server may be accessed only through "http://example.com/moodle" address, sorry. Please notify server administrator. I must be doing something wrong, when installing it was very similar to these instructions. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Preventing indexing duplicate content by search engines

I am in process of migrating my old domain (www.oldurl.com) to new domain (www.newurl.com). Almost all the content,URL structure as well database is same except for few URL's and only difference will be in the domain name. I have made entries in the Apache's .htaccess file to set 301 redirect and currently have blocked all search engines from crawling my new domain by setting in robot.txt file. I am not sure how i will handle the duplicate content issue as when i will make the new domain go live. Should i block search engines to index/crawl my old domain? i am new to this field and not sure if this is actually any duplicate content issue or not.

Self Documenting Code Vs. Commented Code

I had a search but didn't find what I was looking for, please feel free to link me if this question has already being asked. Earlier this month this post was made: http://net.tutsplus.com/tutorials/php/why-youre-a-bad-php-programmer/ Basically to sum it up, you're a bad programmer if you don't write comments. My personal opinion is that code should be descriptive and mostly not require comment's unless the code cannot be self describing. In the example given // Get the extension off the image filename $pieces = explode('.', $image_name); $extension = array_pop($pieces); The author said this code should be given a comment, my personal opinion is the code should be a function call that is descriptive: $extension = GetFileExtension($image_filename); However in the comments someone actually made just that suggestion: http://net.tutsplus.com/tutorials/php/why-youre-a-bad-php-programmer/comment-page-2/#comment-357130 The author responded by saying the commenter was "one of those people", i.e, a bad programmer. google custom search gives different result number for same query

We are using google custom search and we have found that often the totalResults iterates between two values, even for the same query. The different values can be slightly different or more than double. The parameters I am using look like this: https://www.googleapis.com/customsearch/v1? q=something cx=XXXXXXXXXX lr=lang_en siteSearch=www.mydomain.com start=1 fields=context%2Citems%28fileFormat%2CformattedUrl%2Clink%2Cpagemap%2Csnippet%2Ctitle%29%2Cqueries%2CsearchInformation%28searchTime%2CtotalResults%29%2Cspelling%2FcorrectedQuery key=YYYYYYYYYYYYYYY filter=0 This is problem because of calculating the number of result pages. How can I get the same results for the same query?

Ubuntu 11.10 doesn't detect Intel integrated graphics (i7-2670QM CPU)

The laptop I'm using is an MSI GT683DX-847PT that comes with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX570M discrete GPU, and an Intel Core i7-2670QM CPU. According to Intel's description of the Core i7-2670QM CPU, it has an HD Graphics 3000 integrated GPU. The problem is that the Intel integrated graphics GPU doesn't come up in lspci nor in lshw, only the NVIDIA GPU shows up. Here is the output of both commands: sudo lspci: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=9AZg8bJy sudo lshw: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=6cAMFQsY I was counting on having two GPU's to run CUDA programs on the discrete NVIDIA GPU, while X was handled by the integrated Intel GPU, to prevent kernel execution timeout. Why doesn't the Intel HD Graphics 3000 GPU show up? Any tests I could make to verify the presence of an integrated GPU?

Can I remove visible referer from link?

I use referer info to track which of my campaigns works the best. So instead of <a href="someweb.com">someweb</a> I have a link like <a href="http://someweb.com?utm_source=john&utm_medium=email&utm_content=NAME&utm_campaign=campaing">someweb</a> Now when a user cliks "someweb" the whole URL string is shown in the adressbar. Is this possible to mask/hide somehow? Maybe via .htaccss? Thanks in advance

Here what 1x and 2x mean : 1x - mention normal speed of the game, 2x - mention the game object moves with double speed means user experience the fast game play. I want to implement such functionality for my game. Why are the tags on my site using wordpress being indexed instead of the page?

I can't figure out why my tags are being indexed by google and not my actual posts. So in google, my posts are showing up as mysite.com/tags/post and I of course I want it to look like mysite.com/category/actualpost. Any ideas what could be wrong? My domain is 3 years old and I just started a new focus of an existing site. I can't figure this out! There is no duplicate content, I have a sitemap submitted to webmaster tools and robots.txt...I have everything I need. This is the first time something like this has happened to me. Let me know if anyone has any ideas.

Unindexing my tumblr blogs content and moving it to another tumblr blog

ive been writing a tumblr blog for the past yr or so, ive writen about 300 articles, but now i need to move the blog to another site. (before it was running under blog.mysite.com and i now want it to run under blog.my*new*site.com) I want to keep the archived articles and have them on the new site, so what i was hoping to do was export the blog from tumblr, go into webmaster tools remove all the blogs indexed urls from google webmaster, then make a new tumblr blog and import the posts. Would google see this as new content as ive deleted their indexed copy ? Could i just move the mapping of the tumblr blog to the new subdomain, but in doing this i would lose all the pr and it would still look like duplicate content whats the best way to approach this ?

Displaying google analytics data on my website

I sale adspace for my websites directly to the advertisers. I ad page where I want to show google anaylytics information that update automatically without me having to manually update everyday or every month. Something like this: http://wstats.net/en/website/riverplate.com#stat_trafic I don't want to use embedded or iframed third party services. I know google has public API and you can connect it to google graph API to to show pretty graphs. There is a tutorial by google here on how to do it: https://developers.google.com/analytics/resources/articles/gdataAnalyticsCharts Few problems: I don't know much javascript The javascript seems to prompt for authntication as opposed to login automatically. (from my understanding by reading comments on the code) Does anyone know of any ready made script that does what I am looking for or know how I can fix this code that will allow me to display analytic info without authenticating? Does the keyword blog in url impove seo?

I have seen a couple of site which has high number of hits. They are mostly tutorial sites and blogs that address software issue/errors. I wonder if the kewybord "blog" has a very positive effect in SEO? In my own site, I have install word press in root folder to avoid any blog keyword. I also did this to keep urls shallow (deeper url are not good for SEO). But I may want to think on it again. The sites I am referring too are http://blog.sqlauthority.com http://veerasundar.com/blog/2011/11/making-xampp-to-serve-any-directory-outside-htdocs/ I know there are standard (sort of) class names or ID that identify different contents and makes it easier for the search engine to identify contents like, "container", "menu". The use of word "blog" would mean this is about dicussing/tutoring something and have a very positive effect on SEO?
