  • implement a coverflow UI in an Android web application

    I am trying to build a coverflow UI on an Android web application using HTML,CSS, JavaScript and some images. CSS 3D transforms, which are supported in Safari sine 2009 and on the iPhone since version 2.0, is not supported well on the Android. worse then that, the implementation is buggy on Android 2.1 and Android 2.2, and in each version in a different way. Any idea how can I build a coverflow UI on an Android web application using HTML,CSS, JavaScript and some images without CSS 3D transforms?

Now my ASP.NET MVC action just returns some special "success-JSON" and the user is redirected using Javascript. Is there any way to implement automatic redirect (without Javascript call)?

  • Rotate webpage via code?

    I'm hoping that there's a relatively simple way to rotate a webpage a little bit, 30 degrees or so, while still leaving it fully functional and usable. I completely control the page, and can modify it to make this easier if needed. I'd rather not re-write the whole thing in SVG, though, but perhaps javascript and canvas will work? Is there a way using CSS, Javascript, or some other cross browser method that would allow me to accomplish this?

  • Issues loading SWF with External SWF Files - using SWFObject and ExternalInterface

    I'm having issues with loading a SWF that references external SWF files... The main SWF loads fine if the HTML file is in the same folder as all the SWFs using the following code: <script type="text/javascript" src="../js/swfobject.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> var flashvars = {}; var params = { allowScriptAccess: "always" }; params.quality = "high"; params.wmode = "transparent"; var attributes = {id:"IDofSWF", name:"IDofSWF"}; swfobject.embedSWF("event_so_js.swf", "flashContent", "700", "400", "7.0.0", false, flashvars, params, attributes);</script> </head> <body> <div id="flashContent"> <object data="event_so_js.swf" name="IDofSWF" id="IDofSWF" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="700" height="400"></object></div> But as soon as I move the HTML file out of that folder to the root folder and update the links, it doesn't load correctly - it seems that it's having trouble with the external SWF files. I did have it successfully load one of the external SWF files directly, but it's having trouble with the main SWF. All of the SWF files are in the same folder, so I don't know why it's having issues. But the license for Mozilla Javascript engine is GNU/GPL/MPL based and I don't have the time and energy to digest the cryptic legal document. In short, does the license mean I need to publish my application's source code if I embed the engine into my own appli.? Something I think is quite impossible but as what i understand from the CopyLeft license, any work derived from modifying the source code means the derived work must be made open source as well.

    In Javascript, after executing a function I can immediately get the an element of the array returned by the function, like so: myFunc("birds")[0] //gets element zero returned from "myFunc()" This is much easier and faster than doing this: $myArray = myFunc("birds"); echo $myArray[0]; Does PHP have a similar shorthand to javascript?
