    Hello, I want to create buttons with images and text inside. For example, i would use different images and text for buttons like 'Browse folders' and 'Import'. One of the options would be to use a template. I had a look at simliar question http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1933127/creating-an-imagetext-button-with-a-control-template But is there any way by which i can bind the source of image without using a dependency property or any other class?     Regarding gridviews that are not bound to a Data Source Control: In most GridView tutorials that I have seen, when just about any GridView event occurs, the end of the event handler will include BindDataGrid(). In some form, these BindDataGrid() functions 1) Grab data from the database 2) Assign any Filter or Sort expressions to the data, and 3) Bind the gridview to that data source (usually a DataView or DataTable. Is there a better way to provide filterable & sortable data to a GridView without having to hit the database so often? Thanks

  • When does an asio timer go out of scope?

    What I mean is, let's say you do an async_wait on an asio timer and bind the update to a function that takes a reference to a type T. Let's say you created the T initially on the stack before passing it to async_wait. At the end of that async_wait, it calls async_wait itself, renewing the timer over and over. Does that stack allocated type T stay alive until the first time the timer doesn't renew itself, or after the first invocation of the function will the T go out of scope?

    When I initialize a control property from code, the binding to the same property defined on XAML don't work. Why? For Example, I set control properties on startup with this statements: myControl.SetValue(UIElement.VisibilityProperty, DefaultProp.Visibility); myControl.SetValue(UIElement.IsEnabledProperty, DefaultProp.IsEnabled); and on xaml I bind the property of myControl in this way: IsEnabled="{Binding Path=IsKeyControlEnabled}" now, when the property "IsKeyControlEnabled" changes to false, myControl remains enabled (because it's initialize with true value). How can I do?

Should I create unique id for each Window instance or maybe another way?
