  • JVM missing Rhino

    I have a project that uses the ScriptEngine to process some javascript, and worked well on my machine, but when i send the projects's jar to the server, i had discovered that the server's JVM doesn't have Rhino built-in, returning null when the code calls a new ScriptEngineManager().getEngineByName("javascript"); I went to the rhino's download page, get the most recent version, and extracted the js.jar from it, added the jar on the project, but still have the same problem.

  • COM-Objects containing maps / content error(0)

    I'm writing a small wrapper to get familiar with some important topics in C++ (WinAPI, COM, STL,OOP). For now, my class shall be able to create a (child) window. Mainly, this window is connected to a global message loop that distribute messages to a local loop of the right instance (global is static, local is virtual). Obviously, there are surely better ways to do that but I'm using std::maps to store HWND and their instance pointer in pairs (the Global loop looks for the pointer with the HWND-parameter, gets itself the pointer from the map and calls then the local loop). Now, it appears that the map does not accept any values because of a unknown reason. It seems to allocate enough space but something went wrong anyway [ (error) 0 is displayed instead of the entries in visual C++). I've looked that up in google as well and found out that maps cause some trouble when used in classes AND DLLs. May this be the reason and is there any solution??   • XML Pretty Printer Missing 2 Key Edge Cases

    Using this xslt file found on this blog to pretty print xml using Nokogiri, everything almost works, but to the point where I can't use it for HTML. First, if a node is empty, it turns it into a self closing node, so: <textarea></textarea> gets converted to <textarea/> But that messes up the html tree when rendered. Second, if the node just has text, the text isn't tabbed, and the closing node isn't tabbed, so: <li> <label>some text</label> </li> becomes: <li> <label>some text </label> </li> ...but it would ideally be: <li> <label> some text </label> </li> Does anyone who's pro at XSLT know a quick fix for this?

    From what I understand, the following script should work in Windows XP and higher, but it doesn't work for me in Vista Business 32-bit Service Pack 2. Thus far I have been very unsuccessful googling for information about this performance class. strComputer = "."     I print a list directly in the servlet using the print writer and the list prints. When I try to put in the jsp however the list doesn't print whether I use JSTL or scriptlets. I tried to test in JSTL and scriptlet if the object is null and turns out that it is! Why does this happen and how can I fix this?     I have a program, written in fortran90, previously successfully compiled on a compaq compiler and working, that I'm now trying to compile with gfortran. I can compile the code to an .exe and run it. It works fine until a certain point in the routine and then an error is thrown. My current configuration: Windows 7 Eclipse Juno with CDT Photran Cygwin installation with gfortran compiler and GDB debugger (gdb.exe) Configurations for the debugger: GDB command set: Standard (Windows) Protocol: mi Shared libraries: don't load shared library symbols automatically (when activating this, no changes are noted). When running the debug command I get the following output: .gdbinit: No such file or directory. Reading symbols from /cygdrive/c/Users/thys/Documents/doctoraat/12_in progress/Hamfem/Debug/Hamfem.exe...done. auto-solib-add on Undefined command: "auto-solib-add". Try "help". Warning: C:/Users/thys/Documents/doctoraat/12_in progress/Hamfem/Hamfem/in: No such file or directory. [New Thread 5816.0x1914] [New Thread 5816.0x654] Basicly that leaves me with 2 questions: Where can I find the .gdbinit file in the cygwin installation? Are there any other possible errors in my setup, or points to think about?

    I've just converted an application from MVC 1 to MVC 2 using the VS2010 wizard. Not found is the Html.RenderPartial which I have sprinkled around a number of views. I am guessing that this is something that I've done wrong because I see no mention of this as a breaking change in the white papers and docs. Everything I'm using is RTM/RTW and no beta or RC versions.

    Hi, I have a string literal as follows: string filename = @"C:\myfolder\myfile.jpg"; When I use File.Exists(filename) it works most of the time but sometimes I get an error saying the following file doesn't exist: C:myfoldermyfile.jpg Something seems to strip the backslashes out of the filename. This code is sometimes accessed via an ajax request. Does anyone know why/how this could be happening?   • Rails: Generated tokens missing occasionally

    We generate an unique token for each user and store it on database. Everything is working fine in the local environment. However, after we upload the codes to the production server on Engine Yard, things become weird. We tried to register an account right after the deploy. It is working fine and we can see the token in the db. But after that, when we register new accounts, we cannot see any tokens. We only have NULL in the db. Not sure what caused this problem because we can't re-produce this in the local machine. Thanks for your help.

  • How to load a library that depends on another library, all from a jar file

    I would like to ship my application as a self-contained jar file. The jar file should contain all the class files, as well as two shared libraries. One of these shared libraries is written for the JNI and is essentially an indirection to the other one (which is 100% C). I have first tried running my jar file without the libraries, but having them accessible through the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable. That worked fine. I then put the JNI library into the jar file. I have read about loading libraries from jar files by copying them first to some temporary directory, and that worked well for me (note that the 100% C library was, I suppose, loaded as before). Now I want to put both libraries into the jar, but I don't understand how I can make sure that they will both be loaded. Sure I can copy them both to a temporary directory, but when I load the "indirection" one, it always gives me: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /tmp/.../libindirect.so: /libpure.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I've tried to force the JVM to load the "100% C" library first by explicitely calling System.load(...) on its temporary file, but that didn't work better. I suspect the system is looking for it when resolving the links in libindirect.so but doesn't care about what the JVM loaded. Can anyone help me on that one? Thanks

    When I look at the example of the user extensions of GWT-Ext I saw the Spinner as a user extension: http://www.gwt-ext.com/demo-ux/#spinner When I download the library from http://code.google.com/p/gwt-ext-ux/downloads/list (I downloaded the latest build -- 0.3.0) it does not appear to contain the Spinner class. Can anyone point me in the right direction for how to use it?

  • PHP4 No Error When Missing Method is Called

    I have come across an annoying problem while writing some PHP4 code. I renamed the method of a class but I forgot to rename it where it was being called from. The annoying part is it was hard to track down where the problem was because no error was triggered. The script simply aborted leaving the web page partially rendered. Is it normal for this not to trigger an error or is there something wacky going on here? If this is normal is there a way to force this kind of thing to cause an error?

  • Reference non-GAC version of DLL in Visual Studio 2010

    This is similar to Add Non-GAC reference to project but the solutions presented there don't seem to help. I have a WinForms UI Library (Krypton from ComponentFactory) installed in the GAC. There's a bug I want to track down in that library, so I added the source code to my solution, removed the old references from my WinForms project to Krypton DLLs, added them back as a project references, ensured Copy Local is set to true, double-checked that the path (on reference properties tab) points to my local project, and... ...the GAC version is still being used while debugging. I cannot set a breakpoint in the Krypton source, Debugger.Break() or other code changes to not execute, and when I start the Visual Studio 2010 debugger, I see a Loading from ... GAC_MISL message relating to the Krypton DLLs flash by in the VS 2010 status bar. The DLLs are not copied to the WinForm's Debug folder. How can I reference the "project" version of the files while debugging while leaving them registered in the GAC?
