  • Selecting financial values from db stored as text

    I have some financial values stored as text in a mysql db. the significance of financial is that negative numbers are stored enclosed in paranthesis. is there a way to automatically get the numeric value associated with that text. (like '5' shoudl be retuned as 5 and '(5)' should be returned as -5)

  • Converting RGB values to CMYK

    Hi all, I have RGB values that I need to convert into CMYK values. I'm using the iPhone SDK to try and do this. I have tried a couple of things, but cannot either get the values to be anything other than 0 or 1, or the K element is completely wrong (showing up as a negative number). Any help would be a life saver! Thanks in advance!

    Basically in relation to this question It seems like e.X,y and e.Location.X,Y is relative to mousedown? I seen negative values when i havent moved it left/above the parent picbox. So it seems like the values are relative to my mousedown, but i need values relative to the parent because i update the left/top every event and other datat and relative to mousedown is breaking my code.

  • WPF MVVM TreeView item source losing context after command

    I have a treeview which contains files, every view model holds an item source which is an ObservableCollection with files items: public ObservableCollection<CMItemFileNode> SubItemNode On each item i have context menu options (Delete, Execute..). If i move from one viewModel to another the ObservableCollection of files updated correctly and presented correctly but, when i perform a context menu command like delete file item, the command execute good but when i move to another view model (which holds SubItemNode ObservableCollection of is own) after the command executed the WPF still thinks i'm in the last view model i was in and not the one i'm really on. Very important to mention is that when i update to .net 4.5 (which unfortunantly i can't do) everything is ok and the ObservableCollection addresses the correct view model.     My sql query gives the columns: product_id (which is an integer) pnl (which is float - can be negative) I get more than 100 rows. I want to filter out the top 40 rows based on abs(pnl). But the results should be ordered by pnl column only and not by abs(pnl). I want to do this for MSSQL 2005. Is there a way to do this?

  • Why isn't my div scrolling horizontally when adding multiple images?

    I have an outer div, and inside of that, I have an inner div which contains a list of images. When the images are wider than the outer div, I want to have it scroll horizontally, but instead, it just puts the image on the next line instead of expanding. If I add many rows, the div does scroll vertically, but horizontally, it doesn't do it. This happens on every browser I've tried - Firefox, Chrome, IE, and Safari.   • Character encoding issues?

    We had a a clob column in DB. Now when we extract this clob and try to display it (plain text not html), it prints junk some characters on html screen. The character when directly streamed to a file looks like ” (not the usual double quote on regular keyboard) One more observation: System.out.println("”".getBytes()[0]); prints -108. Why a character byte should be in negative range ? Is there any way to display it correctly on a html screen ?

  • How do you make a wrapped div fill the window horizontally?

    I have a div which is contained by another 960px-wide centered div. I'm adding a background to the inner div which should expand all the way to the window's edges horizontally, essentially escaping the boundaries of its container. If I apply a large negative margin and equal amount of padding, this works on the left side, but the right side causes a scroll bar to appear. Does anyone know how I can achieve this without causing scroll bars?

I made a code that allows me to get the accelerometer values, and then I calculate the velocity, using the formula: v = v0 + at. (vector calculation) My problem is that my velocity only increases and never decreases. I think the problem is that the device never gets an negative acceleration. Can you help me with this?

    I need a regex that will match blahfooblah but not blahfoobarblah I want it to match only foo and everything around foo, as long as it isn't followed by bar. I tried using this: foo.*(?<!bar) which is fairly close, but it matches blahfoobarblah. The negative look behind needs to match baranything and not just bar. The specific language I'm using is Clojure which uses Java regexes under the hood.

    Hi, In an if statement with multiple conditions is second executed if the outcome is clear after checking the first condition? example: if(i>0 && array[i]==0){ } If I swap the conditions a seg fault may occur for negative values of i but this way the memory debugger doesn't find a problem. Can I be sure that this works always or do have have to use nested if statements?

However it is linking to my other table fine and it's cascading fine.   • Space Between Table Rows

    This should be a simple problem, but I am have a tough time getting the html to display the way I want it... The problem is the space between my table rows...I don't want space between my rows. I just want my table to look like a spreadsheet with black borders. I am using a datalist and have a table in the datalist control's templates. I have been messing with this for a couple of hours now and I have tried a few different variations of CSS and table attributes. Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong?   • How can I left-justify numerical output in fortran?

    I am writing some simple output in fortran, but I want whitespace delimiters. If use the following statement, however: format(A20,ES18.8,A12,ES18.8) I get output like this: p001t0000 3.49141273E+01obsgp_oden 1.00000000E+00 I would prefer this: p001t0000 3.49141273E+01 obsgp_oden 1.00000000E+00 I tried using negative values for width (like in Python) but no dice. So, is there a way to left-justify the numbers? Many thanks in advance!
