    Does anyone know of any tools for extending the functionality of Sharepoint's existing version control system for Office documents?     Hi, I currently have a table which consists of user information and lesson id; the table layout looks like: ---------------------------------------------------- |employeeID|numVisits|lessonID1|lessonID2|lessonID3| ---------------------------------------------------- |33388 |2 |1 |0 |3 | and a lessons table which contains the information about the lesson: ------------------------------------------------------ |lessonID |cateogry |title |filepath |numberviews| ------------------------------------------------------ |1 |beginner |lesson |file:// |10 | Within the lessonID fields in the user table is an integer which tracks how many times someone has clicked on a lesson. Now what I am trying to do is in a report I have the top 5 people who have visited the site and would like to then be able to drill down into what lessons they have clicked on. Can anyone help with this? Or would restructuring the way the database is be an easier task? Thanks

We have corporate accounts with both companies, and they both tell me that they have no intention of producing versions to support 64 bit applications. Can anyone recommend either open source or commercial alternatives that support 64 bit native C++/MFC applications?

  • Asp.Net error reporting with stacktrace

    I have an Asp.Net web site set up to log errors using Log4Net (in global.asax) and redirect users to a custom error page (set up in web.config with: ). On this error page the users have the opportunity to write about what they did when the error occurred and post the description back to us to help fix the problem. My question is this: How do i connect the error stacktrace to the users error report? It appears that .Net has handled the error when it was written to the log file and the custom error page has no information about the stacktrace. If only I could see the stacktrace from the custom error page code-behind my problem would be solved.

I have my complaints but... you know ;) A few of my macros are taking quite a while to complete and I am looking for a way to track progress. I build a log file during most of my macro processes but I have not found a good way to report progress without pausing the process. Ex. MsgBox("Progress") Any way to access the output window or even better the VS status bar?

  • Reporting sanitized user input to the user via AJAX

    I am writing some code to give live feedback to the user on the validation of a form using AJAX. I have got it checking length and if the field is empty. Now I want it to sanitize the users input and if the sanatized input differs from the users original input then tell them which characters are not allowed. The code I have written so far works except some characters most notably a '£' symbol result in no response. I think it relates to json_encode and its encoding. Here is the code: $user_input = 'asdfsfs£'; $strip_array = str_split(strip($user_input)); $orig_array = str_split($user_input); $diff_array = array_diff($orig_array,$strip_array); $diff_str = implode(', ',$diff_array); $final = json_encode($diff_str); function strip($input){return htmlentities(strip_tags($input),ENT_QUOTES);} Hope someone can figure out a solution.

    I have setup a SSRS 2008 and building reports. So far so good. Now there is a picture control in SSRS where you can set the picture as external link reference. There you can choose to use a link. When I use a weblink (http://anyurl/download_picture.aspx?id=123) it dont' work for me. Calling the url in the web browser (all tested IE, Safari, Chrome, FF) the pictures is delivered, Header is ok, content type, too. Does it work in general in SSRS ? Or do I have to copy the picture to a temp folder and link the url like http://anyurl/mypicture.jpg.
