  • Reporting Android Application Crashes

    - by Travis
I've noticed a couple of Android applications that seem to be using a 3rd party crash reporting tool. Has anyone seen this screen and do you know where I can find it? I started using http://code.google.com/p/android-remote-stacktrace/ but i rather not require internet permissions if I can use an intent to send emails.

  • Use Rails 3's ActiveSupport core extensions outside rails

    - by changelog
Hi guys. I'm having a problem using ActiveSupport's core extensions on a gem I am developing. I had it working with AS 2.3.8, but as soon as I wanted to port it to 3b4, the extensions stopped working and my test results are filled with lines such as: undefined method `blank?' for "something":String I've included it via gem "activesupport" followed by require "active_support" Is there anything else I need to call to include those extensions? Thanks

  • curb not working with rails

    - by Mike
I have a simple class that is using curb to retrieve data. Everything works just find from the command line, but when I load it into my rails application WebBrick crashes on the "require 'curb'" statement. I'm extremely new to ruby so I'm not sure how exactly to debug the error from webbrick to determine what is wrong. If someone knows how to solve this issue that would be great, if someone could also point me into the right direction to start troubleshooting the issue myself that would also help.

  • How to get a Canvas' width when auto sizing is set?

    - by ThePower
Hi, I'm using silverlight and I have created a Canvas, it has Auto Width and Height. But I require the Actual Width and Height in code. Is there a way I can do this? I don't want to use .Parent.Width, because the parents width may also be set to auto to replicate its parents height. Thanks again Lloyd

  • What .NET framework "shipped" with Windows XP

    - by Jani
Could you tell me what .NET framework installed by default on Windows XP system? Because I wanted to write a C# application that does not require anything else to be installed. If none is there any way not to force users to download .net framework (for example 3.5) but install it?

  • How to add a context processor from a Django app

    - by Edan Maor
Say I'm writing a Django app, and all the templates in the app require a certain variable. The "classic" way to deal with this, afaik, is to write a context processor and add it to TEMPLATE_CONTEXT_PROCESSORS in the settings.py. My question is, is this the right way to do it, considering that apps are supposed to be "independent" from the actual project using them? In other words, when deploying that app to a new project, is there any way to avoid the project having to explicitly mess around with its settings?

  • Java marshaller performance

    - by cbz
Hi, I've used JAXB Marshaller as well as my own marshaller for marshalling pure java bean objects into XML. It has been observed that both of them require almost same time to marshal. The performance is not acceptable and needs to be improved. What are possible ways where we can improve performance of marshaller? Like threading?

  • Code Contracts Vs. Object Initializers (.net 4.0)

    - by Mystagogue
At face value, it would seem that object initializers present a problem for .net 4.0 "code contracts", where normally the invariant should be established by the time the object constructor is finished. Presumably, however, object-initializers require properties to be set after construction is complete. My question is if the invariants of "code contracts" are able to handle object initializers, "as if" the properties were set before the constructor completes? That would be very nice indeed!!

  • Create a CSR in C# using an explicit RSA key-pair

    - by rlandster
Using the OpenSSL libraries one can create a CSR (certificate signing request) by doing this: openssl genrsa -out rsa.key 1024 openssl req -new -key rsa.key -out output.csr -config config.txt where config.txt contains the distinguished name to use in the certificate. I would like to do something similar under Windows using C#. However, the method createPKCS10 does not require you to supply an RSA key. Is there a way to get C# to generate an explicit RSA private key and then use that private key to create the CSR?

  • System of linear equations in C++?

    - by Archagon
I need to solve a system of linear equations in my program. Is there a simple linear algebra library for C++, preferably comprised of no more than a few headers? I've been looking for nearly an hour, and all the ones I found require messing around with Linux, compiling DLLs in MinGW, etc. etc. etc. (I'm using Visual Studio 2008.)

  • Need to incorporate Timezone Selection (UTC) within Web App

    - by tonsils
Hi, I need to incorporate a Timezone dropdown selection within my web app, which I need to use within an Oracle database. I basically require the user to select their timezone and I then need to use this against time stamp info stored within the Oracle tables. Unsure where/how to build this Timezone selection list within my page - example how-tos would be great. Would like this to be UTC. Thanks.

  • Floating point precision and physics calculations

    - by Vee
The gravity Vector2 in my physics world is (0; 0.1). The number 0.1 is known to be problematic, since "it cannot be represented exactly, but is approximately 1.10011001100110011001101 × 2-4". Having this value for the gravity gives me problems with collisions and creates quite nasty bugs. Changing the value to 0.11 solves these problems. Is there a more elegant solution that doesn't require changing the value at all?
