  • clicking title bar fires onBlur in Opera

    Hi, I am closing a popup window at 'onBlur' defined for 'BODY' of an ASP webpage, so when a user clicks outside the popup the popup closes. I want the popup to be moveable around the screen and it works for all browsers but Opera. In Opera the 'onBlur' event is fired when clicking the titlebar of the popup - this seems weird for me, as the titlebar is a part of the popup window, right? What can I do about it?

  • CSS sticky footer makes scroll bar unscrollable in IE 8

    I'm using this sticky footer in my website: http://www.cssstickyfooter.com/using-sticky-footer-code.html It is fully working in Firefox, Chrome, IE7, but not IE8. In IE8 the scrollbar appears but doesn't work, and I don't have any other way to move down.   • Background image fixed with vertical scroll bar in IE

    I have a gradient background image in my web application, it goes from dark at the top to light at the bottom. In Firefox, this image is handled properly, where upon scrolling vertically downwards on the page, the dark top section disappears. However, when I started testing in IE (I'm using IE8) the background image stays fixed behind the screen as you vertically scroll, meaning the dark top section of the background image is always rendered at the top of the IE view. I've set the background tag to have scroll defined, which from all I can tell should solve the problem, but IE is not happy. background: #470077 url( images/abcd.jpg ) repeat-x scroll; I made sure to be clearing the data in IE in case it was caching the old style before I added scroll.   • RAD - Websphere Application server won't start

    I am having issues with RAD7. My server will not start for me today. I am working from home and connected to the VPN. Everything works except my server in RAD. It worked fine yesterday in work and had previously worked when I was at home but that was a few weeks ago. Are there any settings that I should look out for? I have disabled my proxy settings in RAD and turned off everything in my firewall. I can ping all the DBs that the server is connecting to. I have even removed all the projects from the server and it will still not start. It keeps trying and then times out after 300s. Any suggestions?

  • Is it possible to add a menu bar to a widget

    I would like to add a QMenuBar to a window of my program (not the QMainWindow) from QtDesigner but I do not see this widget in there and it seems the only way to do this from designer is to use a mainwindow. Would I absolutely need to create this QMenu by hand coding it. Is it possible/ok to instead add a QMainwindow that is actually declared inside my main QMainwindow?

I have a dynamic dns account where I map my machine's dynamic IP to an address say, www.xxx.yyy.net Now, I have registered another short domain name say www.yyy.com, the hosting is on a linux server. Now, my machine is actually a webserver which runs .net website which can be accessed by www.xxx.yyy.net I need my homepage(index.php) in my www.yyy.com handle the redirection in a way that the pages to be loaded from www.xxx.yyy.net/.... but it should look in the browser as www.yyy.com/... Is there any way to do this using php?

  • i want to start my own software/consulting company...ohhh the dilemma [closed]

    I know this is may not be the right place to ask this sort of question,,on the other hand i am sure that it maybe the best...as many of you own a startup. I've been in the industry since 2006, mostly in consulting/business system analysis/project management jobs, not so much coding etc, and although i like working for the companies i am in at the moment...i daily think of starting up something on my own, consulting company,a software company with a good product, but it's the dilemma of making the first step, havent got much money saved up, i have a mortgage and about to start a family so as you can see it's difficult to let the security of a job and take the risk to just do it.... I am sure many of you have been in this dilemma, how did you start off? advice is greatly appreciated Andy

And then, I scroll the screen to show the animation target view, the animation will start. I hope to the animation will start immediately when it apply. Any ideas? Bellow is sample code.   • Dijit.Dialog irregular behaviour of scroll bar making dialog box unusable

    I use a dojo dialog box to display a page pulled from another part of the site. The page being pulled is long - so I use the css attribute: `max-height: 900px; overflow:auto; To make sure it displays properly. For a long page, it displays a 900px high dialog box with a scrollbar down the right hand side side. However the scrollbar is going up to the dialog box title and shifting the close box icon to the left. In internet explorer, when a user moves his mouse of the close box icon, it moves to the right. If you move your mouse to the right it moves left - so you can never actually close the box with the icon. I have tried clearing the content in the box and just making it very long, and the same thing still happens. Oddly enough, if I close the window using esc and click pull up the dialog box again, it works fine. Any way I can make it display properly at all times. I am using Dojo version 1.3. Thanks

    i had once had a very simple one or two line code that would start a function with its own thread and continue running until application closed, c++ console app. lost the project it was in, and remember it was hard to find. cant find it online now. most example account for complicated multithreading situations. but i just need to open this one function in its own thread. hopefully someone knows what im talking about, or a similar solution. eg. start void abc in its own thread, no parameters

  • Start a thread using a method pointer

I'm trying to develop a thread abstraction (POSIX thread and thread from the Windows API), and I would very much like it to be able to start them with a method pointer, and not a function pointer. What I would like to do is an abstraction of thread being a class with a pure virtual method "runThread", which would be implanted in the future threaded class. I don't know yet about the Windows thread, but to start a POSIX thread, you need a function pointer, and not a method pointer. And I can't manage to find a way to associate a method with an instance so it could work as a function. I probably just can't find the keywords (and I've been searching a lot), I think it's pretty much what Boost::Bind() does, so it must exist. Can you help me ?
