• How to Get the Method/Function Call Trace for a Specific Run?

  Given a Java or JavaScript program, after its execution, print out a sequence of calls. The calls are in invocation order. E.g. main() { A(); } A() { B(); C(); } Then the call trace should be: main -> A() -> B() -> C() Is there any tool that can profile and output this kind of information? It seems this is common a need for debugging or performance tuning. I noticed that some profilers can do this, but I prefer a simpler/easy-to-use one. Thanks!

  I have a decimal variable which represents a donation amount. Currently I am displaying it on screen as a currency like so- DonationAmount.ToString("C"); This gives the following output (given a US locale) 1 -> $1.00 2 -> $2.00 0.5 -> $0.50 I am happy with the first two example, but want to have "0.5" show as "50c". My current solution is with a conditional- if (DonationAmount > 1) return (DonationAmount * 100m).ToString() + "c"; else return DonationAmount.ToString("C"); Is there a better way?

  Considering the following list : dalist = {{1, a, 1}, {2, s, 0}, {1, d, 0}, {2, f, 0}, {1, g, 1}} I would like to count the number of times a certain value in the first column takes a certain value in column 3. So in this example my desired output would be: {{1,1,2}, {1,0,1}, {2,1,0}, {2,0,2}} Where the latest sublist {2,0,2} being read as: When the value is 2 in the first column, a corresponding value (same row in matrices world) in column 3 of 0 is present twice. I hope this is not to confusing. I added the second Column to convey the fact that the columns are distant to each other. If possible, no reordering should happen. EDIT : {1,2,3,4,5} {1,0} are the exact values taken by the columns I am actually dealing with in my data. I know I am missing the correct description. Please edit if you can and know it. Thank you

  In C++ if we do not want some statements to compile into code that ships like assert function calls, we control their compilation through #ifndef preprocessor directives. How do we do this in Java? I have some System.out.println() statements for debugging which I would like to remove for the final code. one way is to make them execute conditionally under the affect of a boolean variable. Is there a better way of doing this? As I have a java swing application I can turn off the System.out.println statements without affecting the output. What is the method of doing this?

  I've looked around and can't quite grasp the whole answer to this SQL query question needed to extract data from an MS Access 2000 table. • Is an iPhone Call Recorder theoretically possible?

  NOTE: I know neither the iPhone SDK or Objective C, just wondering if possible. I know obviously it would have to be on a Jailbroken device anyway, but it is technically possible for a iPhone call recording application to be made, or is it not possible to hook into the calls or the audio input/output? I know obviously there would be no 'official' way of doing it and certainly not from an App Store application. And I know there are call recording apps which place outgoing calls through their own servers. Just wondering if the reason it doesn't exist yet is just because no-one has coded it or if it's not actually possible?

Any suggestions on why I get these command not found errors or the unexpected end of file?   Hello all I'm trying to search for '[EN]' in the string 'Nationality [EN] [ESP]', I want to remove this from the string so I'm using a replace method, code examaple below var str = 'Nationality [EN] [ESP]'; var find = "[EN]"; var regex = new RegExp(find, "g"); alert(str.replace(regex, '')); Since [EN] is identified as a character set this will output the string 'Nationality [] [ESP]' but I want to remove the square brackets aswell. I thought that I could escape them using \ but it didn't work Any advice would be much appreciated

Some users are pasting text into this field from Word documents with some weird characters that I don't want to go in my DB. (e.g. webding font characters) I'm trying to get a regular expression that would give me only the alphanum and the punctuation characters. But when I try the following, the output is still all the characters. For example, echo out the [message] for each post. Since it only loops once, I cant echo $wallpost['message'] or anything similar. any idea?

Questions Is there a contain() option so that an associated model returns in the find('list') format so that I could use: foreach($question as $questions) { $this-Form-select('field_name', $question['Choice']); } If no option is available, how could I do this using PHP's builting array methods?
