However when trying to delete using the .update it gives me the following error.   • How to inherit constructors with arguments in .NET?

    I have a "MustInherit" .NET class which declares a constructor with an integer parameter. However, Visual Studio gives me an error when I create any derived class stating that there is no constructor that can be called without any arguments. Is it possible to inherit the constructor with arguments? Right now, I have to use Public Sub New(ByVal A As Integer) MyBase.New(A) End Sub in the derived classes. Is there any way to avoid this?

  • SubSonic error: db.tables with a ~ in the name result in a "Character is not valid" error

    I renamed a database table and added a ~ character to the table name (my way of notifying it is a backup of something). After generating the SubSonic files, my Visual Studio gives a "Character not valid" error on file "AllStructs.vb" When looking into this file the following line of code was generated; Public Shared ReadOnly DbTable1~old As String = "dbtable1~old". I assume this character has to be filtered out of the db.table names when generating the SubSonic names?

  • getting boost::gregorian dates from a string

I'm have trouble adapting it to get Gregorian date objects. try { stringstream ss; ss << dateNode->GetText(); using boost::local_time::local_time_input_facet; //using boost::gregorian; ss.imbue(locale(locale::classic(), new local_time_input_facet("%a, %d %b %Y "))); ss.exceptions(ios::failbit); ss>>dayTime; } catch (...) { cout<<"Failed to get a date..."<<endl; //cout<<e.what()<<endl; throw; } The dateNode-GetText() function returns a pointer to a string of the form Sat, 10 Apr 2010 19:30:00 The problem is I keep getting an exception. So concretely the question is, how do I go from const char * of the given format, to a boost::gregorian::date object? Thanks again.

  • Save PyML.classifiers.multi.OneAgainstRest(SVM()) object?

    I'm using PYML to construct a multiclass linear support vector machine (SVM). After training the SVM, I would like to be able to save the classifier, so that on subsequent runs I can use the classifier right away without retraining. Unfortunately, the .save() function is not implemented for that classifier, and attempting to pickle it (both with standard pickle and cPickle) yield the following error message: pickle.PicklingError: Can't pickle : it's not found as __builtin__.PySwigObject Does anyone know of a way around this or of an alternative library without this problem? Thanks. Edit/Update I am now training and attempting to save the classifier with the following code: mc = multi.OneAgainstRest(SVM()); mc.train(dataset_pyml,saveSpace=False); for i, classifier in enumerate(mc.classifiers): filename=os.path.join(prefix,labels[i]+".svm"); classifier.save(filename); Notice that I am now saving with the PyML save mechanism rather than with pickling, and that I have passed "saveSpace=False" to the training function. However, I am still gettting an error: ValueError: in order to save a dataset you need to train as: s.train(data, saveSpace = False) However, I am passing saveSpace=False... so, how do I save the classifier(s)? P.S. The project I am using this in is pyimgattr, in case you would like a complete testable example... the program is run with "./pyimgattr.py train"... that will get you this error.   • Convert vcproject to makefile for nix?

    So I have a visual studio 2008 project setup for a project I've been working on however its a sub project of a rather larger code base which is crossplatform, so in order to make my project complaint with the main source I need to make my project nix compilable. Is there some way I can generate a makefile based off my vcproject? or if not is there someway I could generate a makefile any other way than writing it manually as it appears confusing as all hell when I open them up.

  • E-Commerce Security: Only Credit Card Fields Encrypted?!

    I'd like your opinions on how a major bricks-and-mortar company is running the security for its shopping Web site. After a recent update, when you are logged into your shopping account, the session is now not secured. No 'https', no browser 'lock'. All the personal contact info, shopping history -- and if I'm not mistaken submit and change password -- are being sent unencrypted. There is a small frame around the credit card fields that is https. There's a little notice: "Our website is secure. Our website uses frames and because of this the secure icon will not appear in your browser" On top of this the most prominent login fields for the site are broken, and haven't gotten fixed for a week or longer (giving the distinct impression they have no clue what's going on and can't be trusted with anything). Now is it just me -- or is this simply incomprehensible for a billion dollar company, significant shopping site, in the year 2010. No lock. "We use frames" (maybe they forget "Best viewed in IE4"). Customers complaining, as you can see from their FAQ "explaining" why you aren't seeing https. I'm getting nowhere trying to convince customer service that they REALLY need to do something about this, and am about to head for the CEO. But I just want to make sure this is as BIZARRE and unprofessional and dangerous a situation as I think it is. (I'm trying to visualize what their Web technical team consists of. I'm getting A) some customer service reps who were given a 3 hour training course on Web site maintenance, B) a 14 year old boy in his bedroom masquerading as a major technical services company, C) a guy in a hut in a jungle with an e-commerce book from 1996.)

  • Windows 7 Printing Issue

    I am using Windows 7 RTM x64. From Control Panel Devices and Printers, I have three printers listed; Fax, XPS Writer, and a Lexmark. I can print a test page through the printer properties with no problem. I can print a text file from Notepad with no problem. I can't print from Safari. When I press Ctrl+P, it displays the Print dialog, press OK and nothing happened. I can't print from Adobe Reader. When I press Ctrl+P, it complains that it there is no printer installed. I can't print from Office applications. When I press Ctrl+P, it crashes immediately. Running Office Diagnostics does not help. I can't print from IE8. When I press Ctrl+P, it displays the Print dialog, complains that I have to select a printer from the list, selected any of the three printers, the Print button is disabled. Any help? Update (01/11/2009): The default printer is the Lexmark. I'm testing on this one as well. I was about to reinstall Office (as this is the first application that has the problem), but then I tried other, some behave similarly but not identical (maybe caused by different printing implementation). On those applications that is able to display printer selection dialog, I tried the Lexmark and XPS. Neither printed anything (paper for Lexmark, file for XPS). Update (01/12/2009): It seems that my Windows installation is botched. A colleague have similar hardware/software combination (it's the same workstation model and Windows 7 x64) and his can print perfectly fine. I tried adding the printer from his share, no joy. I can test print from the printer property, I can print from Notepad, but not from any other application.

  • I am getting the erorr when I try to debug.

    I am receiving the error noted below. I have built/rebuilt the files sevaral time. I have alson renamed the file the file in the *.exe The NetworkAssociation.exe file is in the debug folder. Any help would be wonderful Visual Studio cannot start debugging because the debub target 'c:\NetworkAssociation\NetworkAssociation\Bin\Debug\NetworkAssociation.exe' is missing. Please build the project and retry, or set the OutputPath and AssemblyName properties appropriately to point at the correct location.

  • Debugging php-cli scripts with xdebug and netbeans?

    I have managed to initiate php-cli script debug session from the IDE itself, but I need to start the debugging session from the shell / command line. These are rather complex maintenance PHP scripts which take a lot of input parameters, so entering arguments from within Netbeans is a bit cumbersome. I have done it before with Zend studio http://kb.zend.com/index.php?View=entry&EntryID=130 but now I need to get it working with Netbeans. Thanks in advance.

  • MS Runtime required for app to run, how can I include with setup?

    My application requires access to be installed on the computer or at least the MS Access runtime. Is their a way to include that with the application to check for that component/resource or install it if it isn't? Or would it just be easier to include a link to tell the user where to get the runtime if the error happens? I am using Visual Studio 2008 and the windows form app is written in VB.net.   • Find all compilation errors in a Delphi project

    I am doing some refactoring of my Delphi project. I want to be able to make a change, then see all the places in the project that break due to that change. Similar to how Eclipse lists all the compile errors for a project (in Java). In Delphi, I can make a change, then recompile my project, but the compiler stops when it finds the first Unit that does not compile. I have to fix that Unit, compile again, which will then show me the next error, etc etc. I want to be able to see all the compile errors in the project at once. Then I can decide if the change is worth doing or not. For example, if the change will require hand fixing of 50 separate source files, it's not worth doing. But if it only breaks 2 files then that's an easy change to make. Is there any way to do this in Delphi? Can I tell the compiler to keep going even after finding a Unit that does not compile? I am using Delphi 2010

Any and all input that will help me is greatly apprecaited. I have read over http://www.techonthenet.com/sql/order_by.php however its not gotten me very far in this question. If you have another SQL resource you recomend for people trying to get their feet wet, I'd greatly apprecaite it. If it helps all the info is on the same table.

Everything works locally, the local and server databases are the same The strange thing about the error is that it points to my local dev machine in the error stack.   • Dynamically change my schema

    I am wondering if there is a way to change the schema that I am working in while inside Management Studio. For instance I may have a default schema of dbo. But there are times I may want to query objects in say the accounting schema. It would be nice if I could issue a command and make it so I no longer must include the accounting before tables and views. But the next time I go in, I will be back to default of dbo.
