• HttpClient commons-httpclient Digest Authentication.

  I am getting this error from a PostMethod using commons-httpclient No credentials available for DIGEST 'realm'@localhost and a 401 back from the server. I followed the example from this post java client program to send digest authentication request using HttpClient API (2) However, it still seems to fail. I am trying to connect to a XML-RPC service, we use digest authentication. I tried using the Apache xmlrpc library but it seems to not support digest authentication. Any ideas? Thanks.

• Android "Hello, MapView" Tutorial - Map Tiles Do Not Load

  I am new to Android software development and new to this site. I am hoping someone might have some experience with the problem I am having. I've been following the Hello, MapView tutorial in order to not only learn the Android framework, but also the Google Maps library. I've tried my best to implement things exactly as the tutorial has instructed. My problem is that the application does load in my emulator (or even on my phone for that matter), but the map tiles do not load. Searching Google I found a post by someone else on another site having the same issue, but his/her problem was that the important elements added to the AndroidManifest.xml file were not in the right order. I double-checked this in mine, but everything seems to be right. So, I am not sure what the issue is and was hoping others have seen this before. I can provide any snippets of code, if that would help. Thank you.

• SqlCommand.Dispose() not disposing the SqlParameters in it - Memory Leak - C#.NET

  Hello I've a windows forms application with MS SQL Server 2005 as the back end. I have written code in the form to call few stored procedures using SqlConnection, SqlCommand objects and i properly dispose everything. I've disposed sqlcommand object by calling oSqlCommand.Dispose() But i witnessed my application consuming huge amount of memory. I basically pass large XML files as SqlParameters. I finally decided to memory profile it using RedGate Memory profiler and i noticed that the System.Data.SqlClient.SqlParameters are not disposed. Any insights on this? Thanks NLV

  Hello, All I am trying to do is read a contact off of my emulator and display it to the screen. I can't seem to resolve this error. Both of my packages (com.msi.ibm.tutorial and .MobileServiceCallContacts) have the permission READ_CONTACTS set in their manifest xml files. So any ideas as to what I've got wrong ? Here is the error message from eclipse console if it helps, it's not helping me, but I'm a little rusty at this and completely new to Android development.   I've posted a bigger chunk of the code below. You can see that initially QUOTE was procedural- coded in place. I'm trying to learn how to use declarative design so I want to do the same thing but by using resources. It seems like I need to access the string.xml thru the @R.id tag and identify QUOTE with that string value. But I don't know enough to negotiate this. Any tips?   WCF client is receiving a Date value from a Java web service where the date sent to the client in XML is : <sampleDate>2010-05-10+14:00</sampleDate> Now the WCF client receiving this date is in timezone (+08:00) and when the client deserialises the Date value it is converted into the following DateTime value : 2010-05-09 18:00 +08:00 However we would like to ignore the +14:00 being sent from the server so that the serialised Date value in the client is : 2010-05-10 Note that the +14:00 is not consistent and may be +10:00, +11:00 etc so it is not possible to use DateTime conversions on the client side to get the desired date value. How can this be easily achieved in WCF? Thanks in advance.

  I want to enable form based authentication by using database as realm but I'm always getting that message whenever I try to authenticate as Tomcat manager in Tomcat 6.   I have a .NET 3.5 based web service running at http://localhost/serivce.svc/. Then I have an ASP.NET application running at http://localhost/myApp. In Application_Load my application reads some XML configuration from the web service. That works fine on my machine, but: On Windows Vista with IIS 7 the request to the web services fails. The web service can be accessed via the browser without any problem. I configured the app pool of my application to run as admin. I added the admin to the IIS_USRS group, but it still cannot access the web service. impersonate=true/false seems not to make a difference.

  In my eclipse RCP 3.3 application, I would like to enable or disable a 'save' toolbar button according to current editor dirty flag. I'm trying to use the <enabledWhen tag but I can't make it work. Here's the portion of code in plugin.xml : <command commandId="org.acme.command.save" icon="icons/save.png" id="org.acme.command.save" style="push"> <enabledWhen> <instanceof value="activeEditor"/> <test property="dirty" value="true"/> </enabledWhen> </command> Do you have any idea how that is supposed to work ?

• XCode iPhone Programming: Loading a jpg into a UIImageView from URL

  My app has to load an image from a http server and displaying it into an UIImageView How can i do that?? I tried this: NSString *temp = [NSString alloc]; [temp stringwithString:@"http://192.168.1.2x0/pic/LC.jpg"] temp=[(NSString *)CFURLCreateStringByAddingPercentEscapes( nil, (CFStringRef)temp, NULL, NULL, kCFStringEncodingUTF8) autorelease]; NSData *dato = [NSData alloc]; dato=[NSData dataWithContentsOfURL:[NSURL URLWithString:temp]]; pic = [pic initWithImage:[UIImage imageWithData:dato]]; This code is in viewdidload of the view but nothing is displayed! The server is working because i can load xml files from it. but i can't display that image! I need to load the image programmatically because it has to change depending on the parameter passed!
