  • Binding MediaElement to a ViewModel in a Windows 8 Store App

    - by jdanforth
    If you want to play a video from your video-library in a MediaElement control of a Metro Windows Store App and tried to bind the Url of the video file as a source to the MediaElement control like this, you may have noticed it’s not working as well for you: <MediaElement Source="{Binding Url}" /> I have no idea why it’s not working, but I managed to get it going using  ContentControl instead: <ContentControl Content="{Binding Video}" /> The code behind for this is: protected override void OnNavigatedTo(NavigationEventArgs e) {     _viewModel = new VideoViewModel("video.mp4");     DataContext = _viewModel; } And the VideoViewModel looks like this: public class VideoViewModel {     private readonly MediaElement _video;     private readonly string _filename;       public VideoViewModel(string filename)     {         _filename = filename;         _video = new MediaElement { AutoPlay = true };         //don't load the stream until the control is ready         _video.Loaded += VideoLoaded;     }       public MediaElement Video     {         get { return _video; }     }       private async void VideoLoaded(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)     {         var file = await KnownFolders.VideosLibrary.GetFileAsync(_filename);         var stream = await file.OpenAsync(FileAccessMode.Read);         _video.SetSource(stream, file.FileType);     } } I had to wait for the MediaElement.Loaded event until I could load and set the video stream.

  • WPF - ListView within listView Scrollbar problem

    - by Josh
    So I currently have a ListView "List A" who's items each have an expander control which contains another ListView "List B". The problem I am having is that sometimes List B grows so big that it extends beyond the range of List A's view area. List A's scroll bars do not pick up the fact that parts of List B are not being displayed. Is there a way to setup my xaml so that the scroll bars for List A will detect when the list inside the expander is longer then the viewing area of List A. Here is the section of code I need to modify: <TabItem Header="Finished"> <TabItem.Resources> <ResourceDictionary> <DataTemplate x:Key="EpisodeItem"> <DockPanel Margin="30,3"> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Title}" DockPanel.Dock="Left" /> <WrapPanel Margin="10,0" DockPanel.Dock="Right"> <TextBlock Text="Finished at: " /> <TextBlock Text="{Binding TimeAdded}" /> </WrapPanel> </DockPanel> </DataTemplate> <DataTemplate x:Key="AnimeItem"> <DockPanel Margin="5,10"> <Image Height="75" Width="Auto" Source="{Binding ImagePath}" DockPanel.Dock="Left" VerticalAlignment="Top"/> <Expander Template="{StaticResource AnimeExpanderControlTemplate}" > <Expander.Header> <TextBlock FontWeight="Bold" Text="{Binding AnimeTitle}" /> </Expander.Header> <ListView ItemsSource="{Binding Episodes}" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource EpisodeItem}" BorderThickness="0,0,0,0" /> </Expander> </DockPanel> </DataTemplate> </ResourceDictionary> </TabItem.Resources> <ListView Name="finishedView" ItemsSource="{Binding UploadedAnime, diagnostics:PresentationTraceSources.TraceLevel=High}" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource AnimeItem}" /> </TabItem> List A is the ListView with name "finishedView" and List B is the ListView with ItemSource "Episodes"

  • WPF CommandParameter is NULL first time CanExecute is called

    - by Jonas Follesø
    I have run into an issue with WPF and Commands that are bound to a Button inside the DataTemplate of an ItemsControl. The scenario is quite straight forward. The ItemsControl is bound to a list of objects, and I want to be able to remove each object in the list by clicking a Button. The Button executes a Command, and the Command takes care of the deletion. The CommandParameter is bound to the Object I want to delete. That way I know what the user clicked. A user should only be able to delete their "own" objects - so I need to do some checks in the "CanExecute" call of the Command to verify that the user has the right permissions. The problem is that the parameter passed to CanExecute is NULL the first time it's called - so I can't run the logic to enable/disable the command. However, if I make it allways enabled, and then click the button to execute the command, the CommandParameter is passed in correctly. So that means that the binding against the CommandParameter is working. The XAML for the ItemsControl and the DataTemplate looks like this: <ItemsControl x:Name="commentsList" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=SharedDataItemPM.Comments}" Width="Auto" Height="Auto"> <ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <Button Content="Delete" FontSize="10" Command="{Binding Path=DataContext.DeleteCommentCommand, ElementName=commentsList}" CommandParameter="{Binding}" /> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> </ItemsControl> So as you can see I have a list of Comments objects. I want the CommandParameter of the DeleteCommentCommand to be bound to the Command object. So I guess my question is: have anyone experienced this problem before? CanExecute gets called on my Command, but the parameter is always NULL the first time - why is that? Update: I was able to narrow the problem down a little. I added an empty Debug ValueConverter so that I could output a message when the CommandParameter is data bound. Turns out the problem is that the CanExecute method is executed before the CommandParameter is bound to the button. I have tried to set the CommandParameter before the Command (like suggested) - but it still doesn't work. Any tips on how to control it. Update2: Is there any way to detect when the binding is "done", so that I can force re-evaluation of the command? Also - is it a problem that I have multiple Buttons (one for each item in the ItemsControl) that bind to the same instance of a Command-object? Update3: I have uploaded a reproduction of the bug to my SkyDrive: http://cid-1a08c11c407c0d8e.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/Code%20samples/CommandParameterBinding.zip

  • Multiple ToggleButton image with different highlight image in WPF

    - by Ryan
    I am very new to WPF and needed some pointers as to why this is not working correctly. I am trying to make a maximize button that will change to a restore button when clicked. I thought a toggle button with 2 different styles that would be changed in the code behind could work. I am first trying to get the maximize button working and have ran into a problem. I get the error 'System.Windows.Controls.Image' is not a valid value for the 'System.Windows.Controls.Image.Source' property on a Setter. in my xaml. I seem to be not understanding something completely. Any help would be most helpful :) Ryan <Style x:Key="Maximize" TargetType="{x:Type ToggleButton}"> <Style.Resources> <Image x:Key="MaxButtonImg" Source="/Project;component/Images/maxbutton.png" /> <Image x:Key="MaxButtonHighlight" Source="/Project;component/Images/maxbutton-highlight.png" /> </Style.Resources> <Setter Property="ContentTemplate"> <Setter.Value> <Image> <Image.Style> <Style TargetType="{x:Type Image}"> <Setter Property="Source" Value="{DynamicResource MaxButtonImg}"/> <Style.Triggers> <Trigger Property="IsMouseOver" Value="True"> <Setter Property="Source" Value="{DynamicResource MaxButtonHighlight}"/> </Trigger> </Style.Triggers> </Style> </Image.Style> </Image> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style> <ToggleButton Name="MaxButton" Width="31" Height="31" BorderThickness="0" Click="MaxButton_Click" Margin="0,0,10,0" Tag="Max" Style="{DynamicResource Maximize}" /> My code behind would do something simple like this: private void MaxButton_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { ToggleButton tg = (ToggleButton)sender; if ( tg.IsChecked == true) { tg.Style = (Style)FindResource("Restore"); this.WindowState = WindowState.Maximized; } else { tg.Style = (Style)FindResource("Maximize"); this.WindowState = WindowState.Normal; } }

  • Blurry text in WPF even with ClearTypeHinting enabled?

    - by rFactor
    I have a grid with this template and styles in WPF/XAML: <Setter Property="TextOptions.TextFormattingMode" Value="Display" /> <Setter Property="RenderOptions.ClearTypeHint" Value="Enabled" /> <Setter Property="Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate TargetType="{x:Type DataGridCell}"> <Border Padding="{TemplateBinding Padding}" BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding BorderBrush}" BorderThickness="{TemplateBinding BorderThickness}" Background="{TemplateBinding Background}" SnapsToDevicePixels="True"> <ContentPresenter x:Name="CellContent" SnapsToDevicePixels="{TemplateBinding SnapsToDevicePixels}" RenderOptions.ClearTypeHint="Enabled" /> </Border> <ControlTemplate.Triggers> <Trigger Property="IsSelected" Value="True"> <Setter TargetName="CellContent" Property="TextOptions.TextFormattingMode" Value="Display" /> <Setter TargetName="CellContent" Property="RenderOptions.ClearTypeHint" Value="Enabled" /> <Setter TargetName="CellContent" Property="Effect"> <Setter.Value> <DropShadowEffect ShadowDepth="2" BlurRadius="2" Color="Black" RenderingBias="Quality" /> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Trigger> </ControlTemplate.Triggers> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> The DropShadowEffect I have when you select a grid row, seems to make the text rendering blurry (gray anti-aliasing): When I remove the drop shadow effect, it looks clear because it now uses ClearType and not gray sub-pixel anti-aliasing: I have tried applying RenderOptions.ClearTypeHint="Enabled" to the ContentPresenter as seen above, but it does not help. How do I force WPF to render the text that gets displayed with drop shadow effect to retain Cleartype anti-aliasing, instead of that ugly blurry gray sub-pixel anti-aliasing? Some believe it's blurry because of the drop shadow -- this is not true. It's blurry only because ClearType is not used. This is how it looks like in Firefox when shadow AND ClearType: ClearType enabled text is colorful -- but that blurry text is not, because it does not use ClearType -- it uses gray sub-pixel anti-aliasing and that's not how ClearType works: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ClearType The question is: how do I enable ClearType for this text?

    I can see that the PopUp dropdown of a combobox gets closed if we click anywhere else in the app. How do I give that feature to my own Popup. I dont want to give a PreviewMouseDown event handler for the RootWindow to solve this issue. Something at the level of my userControl containing this popup.

  • Android launches system settings instead of my app

    - by jsundin
    Hi, For some reason whenever I (try to) start my app the phone decides to launch system settings instead of my "main activity". And yes, I am referring to the "Android system settings", and not something from my app. This only happens on my phone, and I suppose it probably could be related to the fact that my app had just opened system settings when I decided to re-launch with a new version from Eclipse. It is possible to start the app from within Eclipse, but when I navigate back from the app it returns to the system settings rather than the home screen, as if the settings activity was started first and then my activity. If I then start the app from the phone all I get is system settings yet again. The app is listening to the VIEW-action for a specific URL substring, and when I start the app using a matching URL I get the same result as when I start it from Eclipse, app starts, but when I return I return to settings. I have tried googling for this problem, and all I could find was something about Android saving state when an app gets killed, but without any information on how to reset this state. I have tried uninstalling the app, killing system settings, rebooting the phone, reinstalling, clearing application data.. no luck.. For what it's worth, here's the definition of my main activity from the manifest, <activity android:name=".HomeActivity" android:label="@string/app_name" android:screenOrientation="portrait" android:clearTaskOnLaunch="true" android:launchMode="singleTop"> <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" /> </intent-filter> <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.VIEW"></action> <category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT"></category> <category android:name="android.intent.category.BROWSABLE"></category> <data android:pathPrefix="/isak-web-mobile/smart/" android:scheme="http" android:host="*"></data> </intent-filter> </activity> And here is the logcat-line from when I try to start my app, nothing about any settings anywhere. I/ActivityManager( 1301): Starting activity: Intent { act=android.intent.action.MAIN cat=[android.intent.category.LAUNCHER] flg=0x10200000 cmp=se.opencare.isak/.HomeActivity } When I launch from Eclipse I also get this line (as one would expect), I/ActivityManager( 1301): Start proc se.opencare.isak for activity se.opencare.isak/.HomeActivity: pid=23068 uid=10163 gids={3003, 1007, 1015} If it matters the phone is a HTC Desire Z running 2.2.1. Currently, this is my HomeActivity, public class HomeActivity extends Activity { public static final String TAG = "HomeActivity"; @Override protected void onActivityResult(int requestCode, int resultCode, Intent data) { Log.d(TAG, "onActivityResult(" + requestCode + ", " + resultCode + ", " + data + ")"); super.onActivityResult(requestCode, resultCode, data); } @Override protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { Log.d(TAG, "onCreate(" + savedInstanceState + ")"); super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); } @Override protected void onDestroy() { Log.d(TAG, "onDestroy()"); super.onDestroy(); } @Override protected void onPause() { Log.d(TAG, "onPause()"); super.onPause(); } @Override protected void onPostCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { Log.d(TAG, "onPostCreate(" + savedInstanceState + ")"); super.onPostCreate(savedInstanceState); } @Override protected void onPostResume() { Log.d(TAG, "onPostResume()"); super.onPostResume(); } @Override protected void onRestart() { Log.d(TAG, "onRestart()"); super.onRestart(); } @Override protected void onRestoreInstanceState(Bundle savedInstanceState) { Log.d(TAG, "onRestoreInstanceState(" + savedInstanceState + ")"); super.onRestoreInstanceState(savedInstanceState); } @Override protected void onResume() { Log.d(TAG, "onResume()"); super.onResume(); } @Override protected void onStart() { Log.d(TAG, "onStart()"); super.onStart(); } @Override protected void onStop() { Log.d(TAG, "onStop()"); super.onStop(); } @Override protected void onUserLeaveHint() { Log.d(TAG, "onUserLeaveHint()"); super.onUserLeaveHint(); } } Nothing (of the above) is written to the log.

  • DataTriggered animation is triggered only in the first time

    - by Pavel
    I just wanted to create very simple example of DataTriggers and animation. Two checkboxes and Rectangle. Checking the first cb makes the rectangle fade away. (CodeBehind var is true) Checking the second cb makes the rectangle come back. (var is false) App is loading - the rectangle is showing (true) Firs cb is checked by default. I'm checking second cb - rect is dissapearing. It's OK. But when I then check the first cb rect isn't showing up. But checking the second cb still makes rect show up and fade away. here's my xaml and code behind: <StackPanel> <RadioButton IsChecked="True" Checked="RadioButton_Checked"></RadioButton> <RadioButton Checked="RadioButton_Checked_1"></RadioButton> <Rectangle Name="r1" Width="100" Height="300" Fill="Green"> <Rectangle.Style> <Style TargetType="Rectangle"> <Style.Triggers> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding Active}" Value="True"> <DataTrigger.EnterActions> <BeginStoryboard> <Storyboard> <DoubleAnimation Storyboard.TargetProperty="Opacity" From="0" To="1" Duration="0:0:1" /> </Storyboard> </BeginStoryboard> </DataTrigger.EnterActions> </DataTrigger> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding Active}" Value="False"> <DataTrigger.EnterActions> <BeginStoryboard> <Storyboard> <DoubleAnimation Storyboard.TargetProperty="Opacity" From="1" To="0" Duration="0:0:1" /> </Storyboard> </BeginStoryboard> </DataTrigger.EnterActions> </DataTrigger> </Style.Triggers> </Style> </Rectangle.Style> </Rectangle> </StackPanel> public bool Active { get { return (bool) GetValue(ActiveProperty); } set { SetValue(ActiveProperty, value); } } public static readonly DependencyProperty ActiveProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("Active", typeof(bool), typeof(MainWindow), new UIPropertyMetadata(false)); private void RadioButton_Checked(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { Active = true; } private void RadioButton_Checked_1(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { Active = false; }

  • ListBox content does not resize when window is made smaller

    - by DamonGant
    I'm using .NET 4.0 (not .NET 4.0 CP) and have run into this kinda unique issue. I created a ListBox to display bound elements, first off here is (a part) of my XAML. <Grid Grid.Row="2" Background="#EEEEEE"> <Border Margin="6,10,10,10" BorderBrush="#666666" BorderThickness="1"> <ListBox ItemsSource="{Binding}" Name="appList" BorderThickness="0" HorizontalContentAlignment="Stretch" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch"> <ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Grid> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="80" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="*" /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <Border Grid.Column="0" Margin="5" BorderThickness="3" CornerRadius="2" BorderBrush="Black" HorizontalAlignment="Left" VerticalAlignment="Top" x:Name="ItemBorder"> <Image Width="64" Height="64" Source="{Binding Path=IconUri}" Stretch="UniformToFill" /> </Border> <StackPanel Margin="0,5,5,5" Grid.Column="1" Orientation="Vertical" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch"> <TextBlock FontSize="18" Text="{Binding Path=DisplayName}" /> <Grid> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="*" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="60"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ProgressBar Grid.Column="0" Height="24" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" IsIndeterminate="{Binding Path=IsDiscovering}" Value="{Binding Path=PercentageDownloaded}" /> <TextBlock Grid.Column="1" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center"><TextBlock x:Name="percentageDownloaded" /><TextBlock x:Name="percentageMeter">%</TextBlock></TextBlock> </Grid> </StackPanel> </Grid> <DataTemplate.Triggers> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding Path=IsDiscovering}"> <DataTrigger.Value>True</DataTrigger.Value> <Setter TargetName="percentageDownloaded" Property="Text" Value="N/A" /> <Setter TargetName="percentageMeter" Property="Visibility" Value="Collapsed" /> </DataTrigger> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding Path=IsDiscovering}"> <DataTrigger.Value>False</DataTrigger.Value> <Setter TargetName="percentageDownloaded" Property="Text" Value="{Binding Path=PercentageDownloaded}" /> <Setter TargetName="percentageMeter" Property="Visibility" Value="Visible" /> </DataTrigger> </DataTemplate.Triggers> </DataTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> </ListBox> </Border> </Grid> Sizing the window up stretches the ListBox content just fine, but when I size it down, it retains it's width and spawns vertical scrollbars.

  • Assigning an event or command to a DataTemplate in ResourceDictionary

    - by Scott
    I have the following class: public class Day { public int Date { get; set; } public String DayName { get; set; } public Day() { } public Day(int date, string dayName) { Date = date; DayName = dayName; CommandManager.RegisterClassCommandBinding(typeof(Day), new CommandBinding(DayClick, new ExecutedRoutedEventHandler(OnExecutedDayClick), new CanExecuteRoutedEventHandler(OnCanExecuteDayClick))); } public static readonly RoutedCommand DayClick = new RoutedCommand("DayClick", typeof(Day)); private static void OnCanExecuteDayClick(object sender, CanExecuteRoutedEventArgs e) { ((Day)sender).OnCanExecuteDayClick(e); } private static void OnExecutedDayClick(object sender, ExecutedRoutedEventArgs e) { ((Day)sender).OnExecutedDayClick(e); } protected virtual void OnCanExecuteDayClick(CanExecuteRoutedEventArgs e) { e.CanExecute = true; e.Handled = false; } protected virtual void OnExecutedDayClick(ExecutedRoutedEventArgs e) { string content = String.Format("Day {0}, which is {1}, was clicked.", Date.ToString(), DayName); MessageBox.Show(content); e.Handled = true; } } I am using the following DataTemplate (that is in a ResourceDictionary) to render it: <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type local:Day}"> <Grid> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition/> <ColumnDefinition/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <Rectangle Grid.ColumnSpan="2" x:Name="rectHasEntry" Fill="WhiteSmoke"/> <TextBlock Grid.Column="0" x:Name="textBlockDayName" Text="{Binding DayName}" FontFamily="Junction" FontSize="11" Background="Transparent" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center" Margin="0,2,0,0"/> <TextBlock Grid.Column="1" x:Name="textBlockDate" Text="{Binding Date}" FontFamily="Junction" FontSize="11" Background="Transparent" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center" Margin="0,2,0,0"/> <Rectangle Grid.ColumnSpan="2" x:Name="rectMouseOver" Fill="#A2C0DA" Opacity="0" Style="{StaticResource DayRectangleMouseOverStyle}"> </Rectangle> </Grid> </DataTemplate> No problems so far, I can get it on screen. What I want to be able to do is assign a Command, or use an event, so that when the user clicks on the Day it will notify the parent of the Day object that it has been clicked. I've tried the following: <Rectangle.CommandBindings> <CommandBinding Command="{x:Static local:Day.NextDay}" Executed="{x:Static local:Day.OnExecutedDayClick}" CanExecute="{x:Static local:Day.OnCanExecuteDayClick}"/> </Rectangle.CommandBindings> to try and bind the commands that are in the Day class but it didn't work. I got an error stating: 'ResourceDictionary' root element requires a x:Class attribute to support event handlers in the XAML file. Either remove the event handler for the Executed event, or add a x:Class attribute to the root element. Which I think means that there is no code-behind file for a ResourceDictionary, or something to that effect. In any event, I'm not sure if I should be using Commands here, or somehow tying events to the Rectangle in question, or if this is even possible. I've seen various places where it sure looks like it's possible, I'm just unable to translate what I'm seeing into something that actually works, hence this post. Thanks in advance.

  • Log4Net in App object?

    - by David Veeneman
    I am getting started with Logging in a WPF desktop app, using Log4Net as the logging component. Here is my question: In a simple desktop app, is there any reason not to instantiate my logger as a property ov the App class (App.xaml.cs), like this? public partial class App : Application { private static readonly ILog p_Logger = LogManager.GetLogger(MethodBase.GetCurrentMethod().DeclaringType); public ILog Logger { get { return p_Logger; } } #endregion } } That would allow me to invoke the logger

  • How to validate and entry on a datagrid that is bound to an adapter

    - by Ziv
    Hi, I've been using C# for a while and began a program now to learn WPF-which means I know almost nothing of it. I used this tutorial as a guide to do what I wanted to do (which is binding a database to a datagrid), after a hard struggle to add the adapter as the source of the datagrid I now want to enable editing with validation on some of the cells. My problem is that the data is sent straight from the adapter and not through an object collection (I had a hard time getting to this situation, see the first half of the tutorial on how to bind the adapter and dataset through the resources) but the tutorial doesn't show a way to validate the datagrid if the data is sent through an adapter-only through a collection. To make it clear-how do I validate input in a datagrid that is bound to an adapter through a resource? The relevant code: (XAML) <Window.Resources> <ObjectDataProvider x:Key="DiscsDataProvider" ObjectType="{x:Type local:DiscsDataProvider}" /> <ObjectDataProvider x:Key="Discs" ObjectInstance="{StaticResource ResourceKey=DiscsDataProvider}" MethodName="GetDiscs" /> <Style x:Key="CellEditStyle" TargetType="{x:Type TextBox}"> <Setter Property="BorderThickness" Value="0"/> <Setter Property="Padding" Value="0"/> <Setter Property="Background" Value="Yellow"/> <Style.Triggers> <Trigger Property="Validation.HasError" Value="true"> <Setter Property="ToolTip" Value="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource Self}, Path=(Validation.Errors)[0].ErrorContent}"/> </Trigger> </Style.Triggers> </Style> </Window.Resources> For the datagrid: <Grid Width="auto" Height="auto"> <DockPanel DataContext="{Binding Source={StaticResource ResourceKey=Discs}}"> <DataGrid Margin="12,0,0,12" Name="View_dg" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Width="533" Height="262" VerticalAlignment="Bottom" ItemsSource="{Binding}" AutoGenerateColumns="False" CanUserAddRows="False" CanUserDeleteRows="False" CanUserResizeColumns="True"> <DataGrid.Columns> <DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding Path=ContainerID}" CanUserReorder="False" CanUserResize="True" CanUserSort="True" EditingElementStyle="{StaticResource CellEditStyle}" IsReadOnly="False" Header="Container" /> <DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding Path=ID}" CanUserReorder="False" CanUserResize="True" CanUserSort="True" EditingElementStyle="{StaticResource CellEditStyle}" IsReadOnly="True" Header="ID" /> <DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding Path=Title}" CanUserReorder="False" CanUserResize="True" CanUserSort="True" EditingElementStyle="{StaticResource CellEditStyle}" IsReadOnly="False" Header="Title" /> <DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding Path=SubTitle}" CanUserReorder="False" CanUserResize="True" CanUserSort="False" EditingElementStyle="{StaticResource CellEditStyle}" IsReadOnly="False" Header="Sub Title" /> <DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding Path=Type}" CanUserReorder="False" CanUserResize="True" CanUserSort="True" EditingElementStyle="{StaticResource CellEditStyle}" IsReadOnly="False" Header="Type" /> <DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding Path=Volume}" CanUserReorder="False" CanUserResize="True" CanUserSort="False" EditingElementStyle="{StaticResource CellEditStyle}" IsReadOnly="False" Header="Volume" /> <DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding Path=TotalDiscs}" CanUserReorder="False" CanUserResize="True" CanUserSort="False" EditingElementStyle="{StaticResource CellEditStyle}" IsReadOnly="False" Header="Total Discs" /> </DataGrid.Columns> </DataGrid> </DockPanel> and C#: public class DiscsDataProvider { private DiscsTableAdapter adapter; private DB dataset; public DiscsDataProvider() { dataset = new DB(); adapter = new DiscsTableAdapter(); adapter.Fill(dataset.Discs); } public DataView GetDiscs() { return dataset.Discs.DefaultView; } }

  • App dies on startup but not crash report

    - by brettr
    I've given an ad hoc version of my app to some users. Two of them have the app die on start up while one user has no issues. I can also install the ad hoc without issue...but that is always the case for me. One user sent the info below from the Xcode Organizer Console. They didn't find any crash logs. I don't know what to make of the info below. The one thing that stands out is "Permission denied". I place the provisioning and myapp.app files in a dropbox folder. The user then retrieves the files from the same location. I've run codesign against the .app file in the dropbox and get valid output: codesign -vvvv myapp.app myapp.app: valid on disk myapp.app: satisfies its Designated Requirement Any one have some ideas how I can figure out why the app doesn't work for this user? Here is the Console output from one user. • Could my iPad app be denied from the app store for using the Tapku library?

    - by Dr Dork
    I'd like to use the Tapku library to add a calander date picker control to my iPad app. I'm new to iPhone OS development and I'm still rusty on identifying the 3rd party tools and code that will get my iPad app denied from the app store. For those that have used the Tapku library, would using it in my iPad app violate any app store rules? Thanks so much in advance for your help. I'm going to continue researching this question right now.

  • Launch an app from within another (iPhone)

    - by Jeff
    Is it possible to launch any arbitrary iPhone application from within another app? For example in my application if I want the user to push a button and launch right into the Phone app (close the current app, open the Phone app), would this be possible? I know this can be done for making phone calls with the tel URL link, but I want to instead just have the Phone app launch without dialing any specific number.

  • Django: How to handle imports in a reusable app

    - by facha
    everyone I'm just starting with django. It is not quite clear to me, how should I write an app I could reuse later. In every tutorial I read I see the same piece of code: view.py from project.app.models import MyModel So, if I move my apps to another project, I'll have to modify the "project.app.models" so that it looks like "project2.app.models" for every app I move. Is there a way to avoid that? Thanks in advance.
