  • SSIS Runs Okay Individual Tasks, Not Together

    I have a simple SSIS Project. In the control flow I have three steps: Step 1: Select Data from Db1.Table1 Step 2: Create Table2 in Db2 Step 3: Copy Data in Db1.Table1 to Db2.Table2 If I "Execute Task" one by one in order, it executes fine...but if I try running the entire project I receive the following error: Error at Copy Data from Table1 to DB2 dbo Table2 Task [OLE DB Destination[40]]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E37. An OLE DB record is available. Source: "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server" Hresult: 0x80040E37 Description: "Invalid object name 'DB2.dbo.Table2".".

  • How to prevent parallel builds per build configuration across multiple Build Agents

    I have many build configurations in TeamCity, each servicing a large project. In the past if a build is kicked off the Build Agent could be busy for up to 20min! In order to improve throughput I installed a second Build Agent on the same machine such that if a build run is kicked off by say Build Agent 1 and it is busy for 20min and someone from another project makes a change then Build Agent 2 can do the build for the other project without needing to wait on the current build run to finish. All was well until two successive check-ins resulted in both Build Agents running a build for a single build configuration in parallel. Since some resources are shared, IIS directories & databases, I don't want a single build configuration to run on both Build Agents in parallel. How can I ensure a build isn't triggered if a build is currently running for that build configuration on a different build agent? One way seems to involve environmental variables and ensuring a 50/50 split by Build Agent in terms of build configuration compatibility, but that seems a little clunky.

  • SSIS Script Component Testing Strategy

    This question is in respect to the script component specifically. I am aware of ssisUnit etc… With simple SSIS Scripts Components, it’s sufficient to let basic testing flesh out issues, however I am working with a script that has grown in complexity over time. To better test the functionality I am considering abstracting the script logic into a DLL that gets deployed with the package, and then use the custom component in the script. The advantage is that the function will be more testable etc but it’s one more deployment artefact that needs to be managed. My question is, does anyone know of a better way to test such an SSIS script in a more isolated manner than to run the whole package and examine the output?

We currently have 4 different build machines building different things at different times and have a bit of a headache to manually balance the load somehow. I would prefer to designate one of them to be the master build machine, which would delegate work to the other ones when they are free.

  • SSIS 2005 - How to Import a Fixed Width Flat File?

    I have a flat file that looks something like this: junk I don't care about \n \n columns names\n val1 val2 val3\n val1 val2 val3\n columns names \n val1 val2 val3\n I only care the lines with values. These value lines are all fixed width format and have the same line length. The other junk lines and column names can have any line width. When I try the flat file fixed width option or the ragged right option the preview looks all wrong. Any ideas what the easiest way to get this into SSIS is?

  • Distributed Message Ordering

    I have an architectural question on handling message ordering. For purposes of this question, the transport is irrelevant, so I'm not going to specify one. Say we have three systems, a website, a CRM and an ERP. For this example, the ERP will be the "master" system in terms of data ownership. The website and the CRM can both send a new customer message to the ERP system. The ERP system then adds a customer and publishes the customer with the newly assigned account number so that the website and CRM can add the account number to their local customer records. This is a pretty straight forward process. Next we move on to placing orders. The account number is required in order for the CRM or website to place an order with the ERP system. However the CRM will permit the user to place an order even if the customer lacks an account number. (For this example assume we can't modify the CRM behavior) This creates the possibility that a user could create a new customer, and place an order before the account number gets updated in the CRM. What is the best way to handle this scenario? Would it be best to send the order message sans account number and let it go to an error queue? Would it be better to have the CRM endpoint hold the message and wait until the account number is updated in the CRM? Maybe something completely different that I haven't thought of?     Is the WebAii framework still available and free? Am I just missing it? After putting it off for too long, I've finally started automated UI testing on my current project. I had WebAii from ArtOfTest on my list to look at, but it looks like it's been killed off by Telerik and now they're asking $1500 for their new WebUI test studio. I can't find anything definitive on Telerik's site, too much marketing. But, it seems to be pretty clear.

    I am trying to use maven profiles and filtering in order to produce two different versions of a given web archive (war): A first one for local deployment to my local machine on localhost A second one for remote deployment to cloudfoundry There are a number of properties that differ according to whether the app is deployed to my local machine or to cloudfoundry. Of course the difficult bit is that I am trying to do all this from STS/Eclipse and deploy from Eclipse to my local tomcat and to cloudfoundry... Can anyone please provide advice, tips or suggestions?

Here's the process I would like to set up: User click on "I want my ad/profile to be spotlighted" Description page of what he's going to pay Click on payment button Redirected to paypal (can we customise the page layout?) Paypal process, during which paypal notifies us when the payment's done and ok Once done, user's redirected to a page on our website (PHP) We already own a Paypal payment pro account Any help on how to do all these steps is appreciated, although steps 1,2,3 and 6 is likely to be up to me to setup.     I have a feature in my web app like I have to send mails from the server to many email ids (some kind of notification stuff) my web application is implemented in struts2. Possibly I have to use javamail api i guess. I am completely new to this javamail and sending mail from server. what basic steps I need to do to setup a mail server in windows, contact the server from my java web app. What api i should I use ? The web has very limited tutorials on javamail and they are damn complicated too. Is there any other api other than javamail by which I can send mail from my java struts2 web app. thanks

  • iPhone Accelerometer > csv > email

    Hi all, I'm trying to collect data for a machine learning project I'm working on. What I'd like to do is collect accelerometer data from an iPhone, save it to a csv and email it to myself. My app currently is able to acquire data from the accelerometer, but I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to proceed. First of all, I'd like to acquire data for a preset amount of time (after playing a sound to the user) which I don't really know how to do, and I can't find good documentation for. Also, I'd like to save that to a csv, which there is some documentation on (specifically using the NSString writeToFile method). Any recommendations/ ideas? Thanks!

  • Xhtml instead of Php?

    I want to develop a site that will allow be to publish information to users, and give them and opportunity to subscribe to a mailing list so they can be updated each time I make a change to the site. *Add new information, etc. I also would like for the users to be able to add comments about reviews posted, and give me suggestions...Things that will encourage user interaction I understand that this is possible with php... But I do not know php, and to learn and test it I apparently need a domain to begin with...etc. Is it possible that I use Xhtml/Html to get the same results? -- I know I can use the <a href="mailto:[email protected]"; subject="Email from Site user">Mail</a> but that would also leave my email open to spam...Any suggestions? And I do apologize if this question has been posted before, I did some research and found no such thing. All helpful responses are appreciated.

Sample : In first script : store|//div[@id="myfield"]|myvar In my second script : type|${myvar}|myvalue But when I start test runner (from maven), it returns an error telling that ${myvar} is not found The value contained in the stored var is not used.   • Hudson trigger builds remotely gives a forbidden 403 error

    I have a shell script on the same machine that hudson is deployed on and upon executing it, it calls wget on a hudson build trigger URL. Since its the same machine, I access it as http://localhost:8080/hudson/job/jobname/build?token=sometoken Typically, this is supposed to trigger a build on the project. But I get a 403 forbidden when I do this. Anybody has any idea why? I have tried this using a browser and it triggers the build, but via the command line it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?
