    I am working on an App that intends to give an accurate measure of any object (building, desk, chair, people, etc.) Using the camera (either phone's or laptop) but I'm unsure as to how to do this without using a lot of resources, would someone mind giving me some options?     Hi, I wrote a code for pinging of given URL.It works fine for me.But whenever i clicked on the start ping button, pinging started but that time focus always is on start button and no widget of the screen working that time. After pressing many times it will gives the force close error.If iam giving URL which is not pinging then that time , all the widgets are working fine.After some time i need to stop the pinging by using my stop button.But it is not working.Please give me advise.Iam using Runtime.exec() for ping command in my android.Plz give me advise.

If I actually give the entire path in C# then I am able to retrieve the XML values, but if I give the project path then it is not getting the values. For example: string fileNamePath=ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["XMLDocPath"].ToString() + fileName; m_xmld.Load(fileNamePath); It is throwing a runtime error.

    I know this is a terrible way of doing things, but it's for an internal app where security is no issue. Basically, an old group created a php page with a drop down and this drop down is populated with entries from a DB. The DB owner is currently absent and for the sake of time, I would just need something that turns the entries in that drop down, always at the same url with the same ID every load into a List. Is there a quick, painless way to do this in .NET?

    Is there a way to see how many context switches each thread generates? (both in and out if possible) Either in X/s, or to let it run and give aggregated data after some time. (either on linux or on windows) I have found only tools that give aggregated context-switching number for whole os or per process. My program makes many context switches (50k/s), probably a lot not necessary, but I am not sure where to start optimizing, where do most of those happen.

    In my mysql table a field values are as follows: table name - "clients" field name - "accent" values are - "Eastern(Northern,Southern),Scottish(East Coast)" "Eastern(South,North,Southern),Scottish(East Coast)" If I give select accent from clients where accent like '%north%' if more than 100 records not in the same order. Strings with in the brackets are not in the same order means. It will give above two values. How should i get only second value? Please help me, thanks.
