  • jquery expanding menu+show/hide+multiple instances

    - by mark
Hi, I have 2 scripts working ok separately but can't get them working together - What I'm after is expanding menus where if the items exceed 10 a 'more' link appears that expands the list, which can also then be hidden. http://www.brianfitzer.ie/test2/ expanding menu is file test12.html toggle+limit: toggle is file test13.html (I have these working separately) And then I need this to be able to be applied in multiple instances as I'll have multiple categories. Any code help greatly appreciated! (i'm a jquery newbie so if you have full code that would be xtra handy)

  • (Pivot) tables generation

    - by Yasir Arsanukaev
Hello. We use Excel VBA to load data using SQL, process it and generate (pivot) tables. I wonder if there any other decent alternatives. I've been thinking on PDF generation but not sure if there are handy tools to construct pivot tables. Important requirement is the ability to print data correctly, so that everything fits on the page(s). Thanks.

  • Subversion: Change working directory's target repo

    - by Aiden Bell
I know, other RCS are better, but... I have moved an SVN repository from file:///path/to/repo to http://host.name/svn/repo but there is a working directory (checkout out from file://) with changes that want commiting to the http location. How then, can I change the repo a working directory will commit to when issuing svn commit? I'd rather do that than checkout a new copy and sync changes locally. Also, handy to know for the future.

  • PHP/CGI: Portable and safe way to get PATH_INFO

    - by LiraNuna
I'm seeking a portable way to receive the (handy) $_SERVER['PATH_INFO'] variable. After reading a while, it turns out PATH_INFO is originated from CGI/1.1, and my not always be present in all configuration. What is the best (mostly security-wise) way to get that variable - apart from extracting it manually (security concern).

  • Tools to update tables in SQL server 2000/2005

    - by Stan
Is there any handy tool that can make updating tables easier? Usually I got an Excel file with the original value in one column and new value in another column. Then I write a formula in Excel to create the 'update' statement. Is there any way to simplify the updating task? I believe the approach in SQL server 2000 and 2005 would be different, so could we discuss them both? Thanks.

  • Dealing with big IF statements in PHP

    - by Industrial
Hi everyone, Is there any good alternative for the plain if statements in PHP? I know about switch, but I'll guess that there's some more refined alternative out there that comes handy when working with really big if statements. Thanks a lot,

  • iOS - Open certain view controller with URL scheme

    - by hansenmd
I'm playing around with URL schemes in my app. I easily made one to open my app, just adding the necessary items to info.plist. This current URL "myappname://" takes the user to the initial view controller, FirstTableViewController, but I was wondering if it would be possible to modify that URL scheme so it I can have one that takes the user to a certain view controller, such as ThirdTableViewController. I would use this as a handy feature in something like Launch Center.

  • Is there an existing delegate in the .NET Framework for comparison?

    - by Neil Barnwell
The .NET framework provides a few handy general-use delegates for common tasks, such as Predicate<T> and EventHandler<T>. Is there a built-in delegate for the equivalent of CompareTo()? The signature might be something like this: delegate int Comparison<T>(T x, T y); This is to implement sorting in such a way that I can provide a lambda expression for the actual sort routine (ListView.ListViewItemSorter, specifically), so any other approaches welcome.

  • Determining the word width in C

    - by das_weezul
Hi! I'm learning C right now and so I'm fiddling about with pointers. Is there a way to determine the word width of the CPU in C because I'm writing a small program which prints it's own stack (Because I'm curious how it is structured), so that information would come in handy. Right now I'm using an int pointer, as an integer is 4 Bytes wide and I'm using a 32-bit Intel Atom CPU. Thanks in advance, C gurus ;o)

  • Is there a straightforward way to have a thread-local instance variable?

    - by Dan Tao
With the ThreadStatic attribute I can have a static member of a class with one instance of the object per thread. This is really handy for achieving thread safety using types of objects that don't guarantee thread-safe instance methods (e.g., System.Random). It only works for static members, though. Is there any straightforward way to declare a class member as thread-local, meaning, each class instance gets an object per thread?

  • Is there a straightforward way to have a ThreadStatic instance member?

This is really handy for achieving thread safety using types of objects that don't guarantee thread-safe instance methods (e.g., System.Random). It only works for static members, though. Is there some corresponding attribute that provides the same functionality, but for instance members? In other words, that allows me to have one instance of the object, per thread, per instance of the containing class?

  • Memcached for PHP 5.3

    - by Industrial
Hi everyone, I have looked everywhere for some clues on how to run the Memcached extension in my WAMP windows development environment (thats right, the memcached with an D in the end, not memcache). I already use memcache (without the D), but it would be handy to take part of memcached's more extended multiple-server features. How can I get this up and running? Thanks
