  • XmlDocument.InnerXml is null, but InnerText is not

    - by Adam Neal
I'm using XmlDocument and XmlElement to build a simple (but large) XML document that looks something like: <Widgets> <Widget> <Stuff>foo</Stuff> <MoreStuff>bar</MoreStuff>...lots more child nodes </Widget> <Widget>...lots more Widget nodes </Widgets> My problem is that when I'm done building the XML, the XmlDocument.InnerXml is null, but the InnerText still shows all the text of all the child nodes. Has anyone ever seen a problem like this before? What kind of input data would cause these symptoms? I expected the XmlDocument to just throw an exception if it was given bad data. Note: I'm pretty sure this is related to the input data as I can only reproduce it against certain data sets. I also tried escaping the data with SecurityElement.Escape but it made no difference.

  • jsTree: Prevent before and after TYPE, only use inside

    - by Nic Hubbard
I am using jsTree which is very nice. When dragging and dropping, I don't really care for the before and after types, I only want to use inside. Meaning, I am only concerned about that parent that a child is dropped into, rather than where the order is with other elements INSIDE the parent. So, I wanted to build my callback, so it always refers to the parent node that it is inside. But, it is not fool proof, yet. onmove : function (NODE,REF_NODE,TYPE,TREE_OBJ,RB) { if (TYPE == 'inside') { alert('Item to move:'+$(NODE).attr('rel')+' to '+$(REF_NODE).attr('rel')+' '+TYPE); } else if (TYPE == 'after') { alert('Item to move:'+$(NODE).attr('rel')+' to '+$(REF_NODE).parent().parent('li').attr('rel')+' '+TYPE); } }, Does anyone have suggestions, how I can change my callback, so that the REF_NODE is always the parent that the NODE is moved into? Rather than a sibling of, which is a child of the parent?

  • How does ImageView just redraw part of its content when invalidate(Rect) is called?

    - by imax366
Hi, guys I am new to Android development, just reading docs and trying the APIs. I am quit confused how ImageView managed to draw just a part of its content after an invalidate(Rect) invocation. I've checked ImageView.java, found no other drawing method except onDraw(Canvas), but onDraw(Canvas) only cut the drawable only if it is beyound the view's visible boundary. I also read the implementation of View.invalidate(Rect), I think the key of this function is calling to mParent.invalidateChild(this, r); However, I think the parent view doesn't know how to draw the child in the given Rect, it finally has to call some method of it child to paint out. Has anybody investigated this part of codes? Would you please give me some guide?

  • Would you use a UITableViewController to implement a check list on the iPhone?

    - by Tony
I am creating an application that will have a list of items that can be checked. I just implemented it as a Table View by subclassing UITableViewController. Now I am realizing that since individual items don't have a child view (i.e. clicking on an item "Dinner" does not need to pull up a child list of "Dinner Items") then maybe I should have just created a custom view for the list. In your experience, would it be better to use the Table View or create something custom? thanks! p.s. I am a bit new to iPhone dev, but NOT new to C

  • Trees and macros with tikz

    - by Tsf
    I am trying to build my trees using macros but I don't get the result I want. Here is a minimal example: \documentclass{article} \usepackage{tikz} \usetikzlibrary{trees} \newcommand{\LeafNode}[1]{% child {node {#1}} } \newcommand{\InnerNode}[3]{% child {node {#3} #1 #2 } } \begin{document} \begin{tikzpicture} \node (A) {A} \LeafNode{B} \LeafNode{C} ; \end{tikzpicture}% \hspace{2cm}% \begin{tikzpicture} \node (A) {A} \InnerNode{\LeafNode{D}}{\LeafNode{E}}{B} \LeafNode{C} ; \end{tikzpicture} \end{document} I expected this to produce two trees: A A / \ / \ B C B C / \ D E but I am getting: A | A B | | B D | | C C Am I missing something or there is no way to do it? BTW, if I omit the label on my root node, I get a PGF error: ! Package pgf Error: No shape named is known. -- Tsf

  • Overlapping two divs and 'clearing' their parent div

    - by brady8
My CSS-fu is letting me down here: What I'd like to do is position two child divs to be overlapping: Using position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; is the only way I know how, with the parent set to position: relative. The problem with this is that the child divs are taken out of the layout as per the CSS spec, shrinking the parent div to height: 0px, so that I can't clear that div and put any content below. My amazing ASCII art below details what I'm going for... any ideas? As an aside, I need these divs to be overlapping exactly for jQuery fades, and maybe trying out some of the new Webkit transforms, a la Apple's cardflip demo: http://developer.apple.com/safari/library/samplecode/CardFlip/Introduction/Intro.html If there's another way to get them overlapped exactly in CSS, I'm all ears. Thanks! |-------------------------------------------------| | Parent div | | |-------------------------------------------| | | | | | | | DIVS 1 & 2 (overlapped) | | | | | | | |-------------------------------------------| | |-------------------------------------------------| ...more content below, after clearing the parent...

  • How to create a SHA1 digest on a tree of objects?

    - by Torok Balint
Let's say that I have a tree of objects of which every one have a string representation. I want to create a SHA1 digest on the whole tree. The easiest way would be to recursively go over each node of the tree. For each node I would concatenate (as simple strings) the SHA1 digests of all the children, add the string representation of the given nod to this concatenated string, and do a SHA1 on it. This would be the SHA1 digest of the given node. The question is will this digest be just as "good" as if I would have concatenated the string representation of the child nodes, and not the digests of the child nodes? Thanks

  • Supervising multiple gen_servers with same module / different arguments

    - by Justin
Hi, I have a OTP application comprising a single supervisor supervising a small number of gen_servers. A typical child specification is as follows: {my_server, {my_server, start_link, [123]}, permanent, 5000, worker, [my_server]} No problems so far. I now want to an add extra gen_server to the supervisor structure, using the same module Module/Fn as above, but different arguments, eg {my_server_2, {my_server, start_link, [123]}, permanent, 5000, worker, [my_server_2]} I thought this would work, but no: =SUPERVISOR REPORT==== 15-Apr-2010::16:50:13 === Supervisor: {local,my_sup} Context: start_error Reason: {already_started,<0.179.0>} Offender: [{pid, undefined}, {name,my_server_2}, {mfa,{my_server,start_link,[]}}, {restart_type,permanent}, {shutdown,5000}, {child_type,worker}] Do the module arguments in the second element of each child specification need to be different ? Thanks, Justin

    - by Damathryx
    I have this <div id="inprog_table"> </div> I tried this to insert var div = document.getElementById('inprog_table'); div.innerHTML = div.innerHTML+ "<div class='row'> <div class='col-xs-7'> "+ $(".row.active .col-xs-7 p:first-child").text()+" </div> <div class='col-xs-2'> "+ $(".row.active .col-xs-7 p:last-child").text()+" </div> <div class='col-xs-2'> 1 </div>" inside inprog_table div.   • Get class of caller's method (via inspect) in Python (alt: super() emulator)

    - by Slava Vishnyakov
Is it possible to get reference to class B in this example? class A(object): pass class B(A): def test(self): test2() class C(B): pass import inspect def test2(): frame = inspect.currentframe().f_back cls = frame.[?something here?] # cls here should == B (class) c = C() c.test() Basically, C is child of B, B is child of A. Then we create c of type C. Then the call to c.test() actually calls B.test() (via inheritance), which calls to test2(). test2() can get the parent frame frame; code reference to method via frame.f_code; self via frame.f_locals['self']; but type(frame.f_locals['self']) is C (of course), but not B, where method is defined. Any way to get B?

  • Google App Engine : PolyModel + SelfReferenceProperty

    - by rvandervort
Is a PolyModel-based class able to be used as a SelfReferenceProperty ? I have the below code : class BaseClass(polymodel.PolyModel): attribute1 = db.IntegerProperty() attribute2 = db.StringProperty() class ParentClass(BaseClass): attribute3 = db.StringProperty() class ChildClass(BaseClass): parent = SelfReferenceProperty(collection_name = 'children') p = ParentClass() p.attribute1 = 1 p.attribute2 = "Parent Description" p.attribute3 = "Parent additional data" p.put() c = ChildClass() c.attribute1 = 5 c.attribute2 = "Child Description" c.parent = p.key() c.put() I execute this code and check the datastore via the development server's admin interface. The parent instance is saved to the datastore class = 'BaseClass,ParentClass', but the child is not. There is no error output to the browser (debug is turned on) and nothing in the launcher's log for my app. Is this possible to do ?

  • Complex jquery selction that also involves custom xml tags

    - by thecoshman
I want to write a select something like... #window_4 > content > p:eq(0) I think I have this correct, but I have a few selectors that are all similar but I can't test them all at once. Am I right in saying this is selecting an element, who is the fist p tag child of a content tag that is a child of a tag with id 'window_4' If I have gotten this wrong, can you give me some pointers. Would love to be able to simplify this code, I have more code selecting the tag I am after then actually doing stuff with them.

  • IE 8 html parsing error message.

    - by user48408
I'm experiencing the problem outlined in this kb article. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927917 . Sorry I can't hyperlink cos i don't have enough points! "This problem occurs because a child container HTML element contains script that tries to modify the parent container element of the child container. The script tries to modify the parent container element by using either the innerHTML method or the appendChild method." The problem I'm having diagnosing the source of my problem is 2 fold: 1) This is only happening on some client machines (All are running IE8) and not others. How/Why only some? 2) I don't have any scripts which modify the innerHTML or call appendChild on any dom elements. I do have server side code which modify properties on asp .net server controls. (Essentially all thats happening is a panel control with some more controls is being made visbile or invisible on a button click), would these in turn then set the innerHTML property of the client rendered control(?)

  • Will Django user permissions work for models with inline tabular forms of other models?

    - by stinkypyper
I am setting up DJango admin to make a model editable. On the same page I have tabular inline of a child model. Everything works as expected. Now I want to restrict permission on the tabular inline child form. Specifically remove update and delete permissions on it. I have tried removing the permissions for the admin user using the 'user permissions' of that user. However, it does not work. Does DJango respect the user permissions in regards to inline model forms?

  • iOS 6&7: Storyboard, master detail ViewController when detailViewController is dynamic

    - by Cam
I'm building an app for iPhone, I want to use storyboard in XCode to do a simple selection from a tableView (let's call it master table view controller with couple rows) then through navigation it goes to next page and shows a detail view for that selection. I have in my code a base class representing my detailViewController, and have 2-3 driver classes of this base class representing what I want to show in detail view controller in second page, can someone give me an idea how to set destination viewController (detailViewController) dynamically to one of my child class based on the selected row in master view controller using storyboard? Usually you assign a class to destination class in storyboard for your detail view controller with using segue, but since my destination class could be a different (child class) how you set this in storyboard? Thank you, Kam

  • MooTools - Programmatically fired events not working with event delegation

    - by Anurag
Would really appreciate if anyone can help me figure out why I am unable to fire events programmatically when using event delegation in MooTools (from the Element.Delegation class). There is a parent <div> that has a change listener on some child <input> elements. When the change event is triggered by user actions, the handler on the parent div gets triggered, but when I fire it programmatically with fireEvent on any child input, nothing happens. The basic setup is: html <div id="listener"> <input type="text" id="color" class="color" /> ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????</div>??????????? js $("listener").addEvent("change:relay(.color)", function() { alert("changed!!"); }); $("color").fireEvent("change"); // nothing happens The event handler on the parent div does not get called. Any help is appreciated. Cheers!

  • Binding a combobox in XAML to a childwindow property

    - by AlexB
Hi, I want to display a child window that contains a combobox with several values coming from one of the child window's property: public partial class MyChildWindow : ChildWindow { private ObservableCollection<MyClass> _collectionToBind = // initialize and add items to collection to make sure it s not empty... public ObservableCollection<MyClass> CollectionToBind { get { return _collectionToBind; } set { _collectionToBind = value; } } } How do I bind in XAML my combobox to the ComboBoxContent collection (both are in the same class)? I've tried several things such as: <ComboBox x:Name="linkCombo" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=CollectionToBind }" DisplayMemberPath="Description"> I've only been able to bind it in the code behind file and would like to learn the XAML way to do it. Thank you!

  • Scrum for Team System 2010 - How to use story points instead of Hours

    - by dretzlaff17
I have installed TFS 2010 using the Scrum for Team System v3. The work item templates want you to enter a Project Backlog Item that includes story points, then you need to add linked tasks as a child of the PBI. It is at the task level where you can assign team individuals, update estimated hours left, etc. What is the importance of the Story Points used at the PBI item if individual tasks are using hours? Has anyone customized this template so that the child work item tasks use story point burn downs instead of hours? Also, I would be nice to have the total number of story points from each individual task roll up into the PBI item as a read only field for total story points. Thanks for your time.

  • Android - LinearLayout Horizontal with wrapping children

    - by kape123
Is there a property to set for Android's LinearLayout that will enable it to properly wrap child controls? Meaning - I have changeable number of children and would like to lay out them horizontally like: Example: Control1, Control2, Control3, ... I do that by setting: ll.setOrientation(LinearLayout.HORIZONTAL); foreach (Child c in children) ll.addView(c); However, if I have large number of children, last one gets cuts off, instead of going to next line. Any idea how this can be fixed?
