    Hi Is there any way to skip the default params, say suppose my method declaration is like this: procedure Myfunc1(var isAttr1: Boolean = FALSE; isAttr2: Boolean = FALSE; isAttr3: Boolean = FALSE); I can't call the function like this: Self.Myfunc1( , , Attr3); because I don't want unnecessary var declarations, at the same time I want the last param return value (it is a var type) Thank for help in advance

  • Oracle scheduler job log output

    I'm using dbms_scheduler to execute a PL/SQL stored procedure. I would like to be able to have that code create some text logging output and associate it with the run to verify it's working, but I can't find anything to do that in the docs. Is there a facility to do this that I'm missing? This is an 11g database running under Unix. It would be real nice if I could use dbms_output so I could also run it from sqlplus and get output.

    How do I parameterize a query containing an IN clause with a variable number of arguments, like this one? select * from Tags where Name in ('ruby','rails','scruffy','rubyonrails') order by Count desc In this query, the number of arguments could be anywhere from 1 to 5. I would prefer not to use a dedicated stored procedure for this (or XML), but if there is some fancy SQL Server 2008 specific way of doing it elegantly, I am open to that.

If I had the key for all the records in the table I could loop and use nHibernate's Get method (this seems inefficient though) but I don't have the keys. I could also use FindAll but this requires criteria or a stored procedure. How can I get all the records from the table?

    Hi there I have a question to the following procedure: script/generate scaffold product title:string description:text db:migrate #then I generate a migration which adds a column description to the table products and migrate the db again. My question is: why is the field description not added to the project-views? Is that normal rails scaffold behaviour? I think I saw in a video tutorial that the scaffold updates as well the views, which would be very convenient. Thanks in advance for any help!

    If I have a routine that can throw an ArgumentException in two places, something like... if (Var1 == null) { throw new ArgumentException ("Var1 is null, this cannot be!"); } if (Val2 == null) { throw new ArgumentException ("Var2 is null, this cannot be either!"); } What’s the best way of determining in my calling procedure which of the two exceptions was thrown? Or Am I doing this in the wrong fashion?

    Hi I want to create a trigger that execute on update of a table. in particular on update of a table i want to update another table via a trigger but if the trigger fails (REFERENTIAL INTEGRITY-- ENTITY INTEGRITY) i do not want to execute the update anymore.     Is it possible to define a current user? I found a stored procedure 'sp_mgGetConnectedUsers'. It returns a result set with the only unique field 'Address'. How could I associate an executing query with such 'Address'. Please advice. Note: As far as I understand, another way to get the current user is to set a unique application Id for each connection, but I don't like this way much.

The following procedure assumes that you want to set up Likewise-CIFS on a Linux server to share files with Windows computers in a network without Active Directory. This procedure also assumes you know how to build Linux applications from their source code and then install them. Download Likewise-CIFS from its open source git location: $ git clone git://git.likewiseopen.org/ Download, build, and install the following tools. The tools listed are known to work, but earlier or later versions might work as well. Folder: \\IP_hostname\c$ Click "Finish" Username: hostname\newuser Password: user_password The last step fails when I try to connect. I've tried with Windows XP Pro and Windows 7 Pro. The rest of the directions only appear to work for version 5.4 (the one that shipped with 10.04). For 12.04, version 6.1 is the only one available and it doesn't appear to have the srvsvc module mentioned in these instructions. Is CIFS support dropped in the 6.1 version of likewise-open?
