  • How to test a project with multiple python versions in a sequential way?

    I am developing a python adapter to interact with a 3rd party website, without any json or xml api (http://www.class.noaa.gov/). I have a problem when Travis CI run multiple python tests (of the The Travis CI Build Matrix) concurrently. The project is on GitHub at ecolell/noaaclass and the .travis.yml file is: language: python python: - "2.6" - "2.7" - "3.2" - "3.3" install: - "make deploy" script: "make test-coverage-travis-ci" #nosetests after_success: - "make test-coveralls" Specifically, I have a problem when at least 2 python versions were running their unit tests at the same time, because they use the same account of a website.   • Do I assign different or the same class id to 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the same IFilter?

    I've implemented my own Microsoft Search IFilter. I need two versions of it - 32-bit and 64-bit for deploying them on corresponding systems. In case of IFilters for any file extension I can only register one IFilter class id. Which means I can only use one version on any system. So having two class ids seems useless - it only makes the automatic installer more complex. Do I reuse the same COM class id for both or do I use different class ids?

    We have 2 production web servers for our web app, load balanced to handle lots of traffic. We also have a similar setup for testing. Test pool: [TEST 1]---[TEST 2] Prod pool: [PROD 1]---[PROD 2] When comparing the Web.Config of the app versions (test vs live) I discovered something surprising: both pools have the same value for stateConnectionString. If I understand right, this means they are using the same state server: <sessionState mode="StateServer" stateConnectionString="tcpip=123.123.123.123:42424" cookieless="false" timeout="30"/> Is this a problem? (How does the state server not confuse the two pools)? I was having odd only-sometimes slowdown/errors on the test server, that's why I was looking at this in the first place, but the prod pool runs fine...

  • What's the smartest way to organize SVN for translated versions of the same project?

    I apologize because I know this has been covered over and over again, but I'm trying to understand the smartest way to cleverly use subversion to our benefit. (*Note: I know our method is not the BEST way to handle localized versions, but external factors are forcing us to work this way on current projects) We have a fairly static website in English...html, css, js, etc. After the site comes back from the translator we will have 5 variations of the same code (this week...then potentially 25 more in the future!). So we'll soon have a folder for EN, FR, SP, DE, etc. Most files (css, js, img) will remain exactly the same; and html files (structure, id's, classes) will only vary based on the localized text inside the elements. Is there any way to use clever SVN folder structuring that would help us out in the event that if a small change is needed, we don't have to manually change the files in each and every translated version of the site?   • Django colon syntax in template tags: only in newer versions?

    I just deployed an application to a new server, and although I'm using virtualenv, I had to install a new environment on the production server, which has a different architecture. Anyway, I received no TemplateSytaxErrors in development, but on the production server, I get: Exception Type: TemplateSyntaxError Exception Value: Caught SyntaxError while rendering: invalid syntax (views.py, line 25) The offending line is: {% url admin:password_change as password_change_url %} Upon removing that line, the TemplateSyntaxError hops to the next line that has a colon in it (and lets other template tags work fine). So my question is this: is there some discrepancy in versions of Python/Django that would allow or disallow the namespacing syntax? The template tags are in django-grappelli (http://code.google.com/p/django-grappelli/), so I'd rather not go through their code and rewrite all the template tags. Development server: 32-bit Debian Python 2.5.5 Django 1.2.1 Production server: 64-bit CentOS Python 2.4.3 Django 1.2.1 Any ideas?

  • Occurs in MYOB Accounting Plus 18.5 among other versions. Cannot get the function address for " MAPI

    I've installed MYOB on SBS server 2003. Why? Because the users were using offline files and it turned out there was about 7 versions of the file both locally and on the server that were out of sync... So the only way I could control the file access was to force RDP to the server... Always using the server file and always in sync... Anyway, this issue occurs in MYOB Accounting Plus 18.5. Cannot get the function address for "MAPISendMail" from "MAPI32.dll" Please check your Mapi installation I just want to send mail from MYOB but I can't - MYOB support is useless and blames everyone else...(i.e. Microsoft and outlook) I have found other people with the same problem whose resolution appears to be to copy MAPI32.dll into myob directory but that hasn't worked for me...

  • What's the best way to handle web.config file versions in ASP.Net?

    I have an ASP.Net web site (ASPX and ASMX pages) with a single web.config file. We have a development version and a production version. Over time, the web.config files for development and production have diverged substantially. What is the best practice for keeping both versions of web.config in source control (we use Tortoise SVN but I don't think that matters)? It seems like I could add the production web.config file with a name like "web.config.prod", and then when we turnover all the files we would just add the step of deleting the existing web.config and renaming web.config.prod to web.config. This seems hackish, although I'm sure it would work. Is there not some mechanism for dealing with this built in to Visual Studio? It seems like this would be a common issue, but I haven't found any questions (with answers) about this.

  • Can profiler templates be migrated to newer versions of SQL Profiler?

    Is it possible to migrate Profiler templates to newer versions of SQL Server? In my case I want to take my SQL 2008 templates to 2012. I've tried (1) a straight file copy and (2) an export/import. In both cases the older templates run, but cannot be modified. Modifications result in the following error: I've got a bunch of custom templates and I'm trying to avoid recreating them by hand. Although, I guess that is the fallback position. Thoughts?

  • How can I setup Eclipse for better Android Widget development?

    I'm trying to develop a widget for Android. I'm using Eclipse but I can't get the view editor setup to match what I'm going to see when I deploy to my phone. I'm creating a 4x1 widget. I've gone through and tried setting up a new "Device" so that I can preview what the widget will look like before I deploy. I said the device is landscape, setup a 240dpi for the x and y on the device and set the dimensions to 294x72 (also tried 72x294 but that didn't work any better). I've done some googling and I can't seem to find any guides for setting up Eclipse. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Assuming that the app has got 11 .xcdatamodel versions inside, where ***11.xcdatamodel is the current one, what would happen now since the persistent store of the user is ages old? would the migration happen 10 times, step-by-step through every migration iteration? Or does the actual migration of data (lets assume gigabytes of data) happen exactly once, after Core Data (or the persistent store coordinator) has figured out precisely what to do to go from v.1.0 to v.11.0?

  • The best approach to customize Bootstrap Less files and keep it easy to be updated to future versions

    I'm wondering what the best way would be to customize the less files in Bootstrap and, at the mean time, keep it easy to be updated to future Bootstrap versions. It's straightforward to just modify the less files, but the problem is that when the next version of Bootstrap comes out, it might be painful to upgrade (because all the changes are already deeply mixed with the original sources.) Another approach would be similar to the open closed principle, that is, keeping the original less files unchanged, and adding my customized less files to overwrite the CSS rules I need. When Bootstrap gets updated, (hopefully) I can simply replace the less files and everything would work magically. However, regardless of the correctness of my assumption, the same CSS rules would be scattered in even more places and hard to manage. Also, the more we overwrite the CSS (not for compatibility or other purposes), the more bandwidth we waste. I know this highly depends on how the author of Bootstrap would handle the structure of the framework or even the naming of CSS rules, but I'd still like to hear everybody's opinions. Thanks.

    Hi, How can I setup Eclipse to stop at the point an exception occurred. I have an Eclipse breakpoint setup to break on an exception. In the code example below, the problem I'm having is Eclipse tries to open the Integer source code. Is there any way to just have debugger break at the point shown in my code example? If I move down the stack trace, I will get to this line, it'd be nice if there's a way to do this without the "Source not found" window coming up.   • How do I switch java versions to an earlier version in Fedora 17?

    I just installed Fedora 17. I'm setting up the Android Build Environment and need Java. I downloaded and installed jdk-6u32-linux-amd64.rpm I ran java -version and it spit out the correct version. Well a day or two later i tried my first compile in Fedora 17 and it complained about java and failed. I ran java -version again and low and behold it spits out $ java -version java version "1.7.0_03-icedtea" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (fedora-2.1.fc17.7-x86_64) OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 22.0-b10, mixed mode) I'm stumped. I mean, i've run the update/upgrade commands since i installed but i didn't think that updated full version revisions... So, I ran alternatives --config java and that only gave me the java 1.7 version. While digging around more I discovered that the recommended version of Java for the build environment is jdk-6u27-linux-x64-rpm.bin so I downloaded that from here: Oracle Download When I ran: sudo sh jdk-6u27-linux-x64-rpm.bin it returned: Unpacking...     I have a linux box email server with Postfix as the MTA, Dovecot as the IMAP server and Apache with Roundcube as webmail. In my /etc/postfix/aliases I have just above a hundred different aliases which makes as many email addresses on my domain. I use one address per website so I easily can shut down spam infested addresses. During the half a year or so that I have had this setup, I have received 3 spam from 2 sources. As I know exactly where I entered this address, it should be easy to pinpoint email leaking websites and services. However, these sources are, according to me, not likely email sellers. And for one of them to sell my email twice? I contacted one of the sources and they are adamant that their system is tight. They suggested the possibility that it is my server that is doing the leaking. So, my question is: How likely is it that my box is leaking email addresses, and how? I don't store fully qualified email addresses anywhere in my system except in my maildir. I use SSL connection to IMAP I do not use https on webmail

  • Is it possible to setup an internal test email server to keep all mail sent to it?

    We have a need at my work to setup a test email server that will take all mail sent to it for delivery and instead just dump it into an account for later retrieval. I've been out of the email server configuration game long enough that I think that's possible but I don't know for sure. As a more specific example of what we need: We have code that sends emails to outside clients in certain cases. We want to point our code to a test server that will accept those emails, but not let them get to the outside world (yes, it's happened before, oops). We then need to be able to verify that Email X would have gotten sent to Client Y if we had sent to the real server. As a bonus, we have a error email alias on our real server that goes to the programmers that we would like to keep getting email from. So anything sent to that alias on the test server would forward to our real server for delivery. My preference is for postfix but our IT staff seems set on using sendmail (or Exchange) for everything so hints/pointers for either server would be helpful. Thanks a lot.

    We want to make all cookies set by our webapp http-only. I only have a basic understanding of the benefits of doing this but I'm told by security people that it's a Good Thing (tm) Our app is running under JDK1.6.05 and WebLogic10.3.0 After way too much digging around Oracle's website for documentation, I've found good evidence that the first version of WebLogic to support http-only cookies is 10.3.1. By "support," I mean the cookie-http-only deployment-descriptor element. Before we go about upgrading, I'd be nice to have these questions answered: 1a) Is it accurate that WL10.3.1 is the first version to support http-only cookies and that we're out of luck with 10.3.0? 1b) If we do indeed need to upgrade, is there an easy to do so under Windows? I've heard people mention an "upgrade jar" that you just stick in the classpath but I can't find any mention of this by Oracle. Does an easy way exist, or do we need to do a full-install of the new version? 2) What does the cookie-http-only deployment-descriptor element do when enabled? Will it ensure all cookies set by the application have an http-only=true attribute? Will it do more or less? Is there anything I'll have to do programmatically? 3) Is there anything in general I should know about http-only cookies, getting my web app to take advantage of them, or other security concerns?

  • Is it possible to run two separate instances (copies, versions) of Audacity?

    What I want is two separate instances of Audacity running in parallel as to separate programs with different settings. I want one to use WASAPI as audio host and speakers as input device (the 2.0.5 portable has the WASAPI option), and the other to use the MME as audio host, and microphone as input device. When opening a new (second) window of the same installation/copy of Audacity, by executing twice the .exe file, it is the same as giving the command 'new' under 'File', what happens is not a second instance, but just a separate project/file and window. When settings are changed in one, they change exactly in the other. When trying to start a second copy of Audacity, or even a second different version, when one is already running, it will also open just a second project/file of the application that is already running, as before.

  • OpenSSL: how to setup an OCSP server for checking third-party certificates?

    I am testing the Certificate Revocation functionality of a CMTS device. This requires me to setup a OCSP responder. Since it will only be used for testing I assume that the minimal implementation provided by OpenSSL should suffice. I have extracted the a certificate from a cable modem, copied it to my PC and converted it to the PEM format. Now I want to register it in the OpenSSL OCSP database and start a server. I have completed all these steps, but when I do a client request my server invariably responds with "unknown". It seems to be completely unaware of my certificate's existence. I would greatly appreciate if anyone would be willing to have a look at my code.
