  • Getting "invalid XML in the response" while checking out my project from github

    I was trying to get fresh copy of my project from github using tortoise svn client. But I am getting following exception. The PROPFIND request returned invalid XML in the response: XML parse error at line 1: no element found (Checkout from https://github.com/anoopchaurasia/JavaScript-File-Manager.git) When I tried to checkout using subeclipse on Eclipse, it saying "Folder does not exist.". I am able to checkout same repository on my other system.

  • Subversion with Apache and permissions issues

    Hello, I have setup an SVN repository for use with Apache 2 via svnadmin create command and appropriate vhost configuration. I found that, in order to correctly use the repository, this must be owned by wwwrun user (or www group) or chmodded to 777. I would like to ask if it's possible to explicitly tell Apache to impersonate another user when serving requests to a certain path (from vhost.conf), like with suphp extension, so I won't mess with permissions once I create a repository.     What are some non commercial deployment tools that allows a developer to speficy: a branch/tag, a revision and a target machine to deploy code to? I was wondering if there's a ccnet plugin of some sort that would allow the above to be specified. I know this could be done with a NAnt deploy script. However considering we're mostly using gui tools for feedback, plus the tortoise svn repository browser, it be cool to lear if there's an GUI simple GUI tool/plugin cheers.

I would really prefer not to deal with SVN in any way in my shell or visual studio. Native / C# preferred (as i have those runtimes already installed). Anyone a recommendation under those circumstances?

    What is the best approach for working at a customers site (with several people) where there maybe not internet access the whole time and using a subversion repository? (Migrating to Git or Mecurial is out of the question at the moment) But wouldn't it be possible to leverage something like, for instance the Git SVN Integration, to create a proxy which acts like a subversion repository for the clients and may be used at the end to synchronize the changes back to subversion? Is there already something like that available?

  • How can I get all the versions of a given file?

    I would like to obtain all the versions of a given file in my SVN repository. For instance, let's say that the file ThirdPartyAssembly.dll was checked 3 times, is there a command that will get me all the version on my HD (e.g. ThirdPartyAssembly.dll.v1, ThirdPartyAssembly.dll.v2, ThirdPartyAssembly.dll.v3, etc.)?     I have two machines connected. The server is S1 and the client is C1. section: aliases C1.wcu.edu: C1 end section: links S1: right = C1.wcu.edu C1.wcu.edu: left = S1 end When I start Synergy on both machines, the connection is made but I get the subject WARNING message on the server constantly. On the client, I get the three messages below. ERROR: server refused client with name "localhost.local" WARNING: failed to connect to server: server refused client with our name NOTE: connecting to 'S1.wcu.edu': XXX.XXX.XXX.73:24800 Any idea why I am getting these messages?     Trying to install CollabNet Subversion Client on Solaris x64, but I'm hung up with: ## Verifying signature for signer <Alexander Thomas(AT)> pkgadd: ERROR: Signature verification failed while verifying certificate <subject=Alexander Thomas(AT), issuer=Alexander Thomas(AT)>:<self signed certificate>. Any way to just bypass the certificate check? None of the options listed in the man page seemed appropriate.

  • Watchguard config, drop-in or mixed-routing mode?

    I have a Watchguard XTM 2 that is currently acting as a firewall and a router for my business network, I currently have the WG setup in mixed-routing mode and am happy with the current configuration. The reason I am curious about drop-in mode is because I would like to use all the interfaces on the back of the watchguard for the same subnet. My understanding is that drop-in mode will put them all on the same subnet, but it is unclear from the manual that the routing/firewall/vpn will still work as expected. This WG is right behind a DSL modem that is setup in bridge mode, so the WG is handling all PPPoE auth and routing for the network.

  • Setting up SSL virtual hosts in Apache

    I'm trying to set up SSL, with SNI, in my apache and am getting the often-seen "ssl_error_rx_record_too_long" error in Firefox when accessing the site (https://test.me.dev.xxxx.net), from which I can conclude that the server is listening on port 443, but doesn't know to use SSL on it. The server is Ubuntu 9.04 with Apache 2.2.11 I enabled SSL in the default way (a2enmod ssl). Now, I can't checkout, commit source from Subversion Server ( domain.com:9880, port subversion) I tried to start httpd by command line as: sudo /opt/ubersvn/bin/httpdserverctl start , but I get error: httpd: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.1.1 for ServerName httpd (pid 895) already running I tried run this command as follow: cd /opt/ubersvn/bin sudo ./ubersvncontrol start then get errors: Starting SysV Tomcat Using CATALINA_BASE: /opt/ubersvn/tomcat Using CATALINA_HOME: /opt/ubersvn/tomcat Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /opt/ubersvn/tomcat/temp Using JRE_HOME: /opt/ubersvn/jre Using CLASSPATH: /opt/ubersvn/tomcat/bin/bootstrap.jar Using CATALINA_PID: /opt/ubersvn/data/run/tomcat.pid Existing PID file found during start.
