    For two different store Views using the same locale, it is easy to manage translations for miscellaneous text that's stored in CSV files. It's just a question of configuring the locale correctly so the correct CSV files will be used. But my client has entered a bunch of translations for products and categories into the admin by changing the scope to "Store 1 German" and setting the translations. But now he has Store 2, with a German store view. How does he keep "Store 1 German Store View" and "Store 2 German Store View" in sync?

  • Create view or SP, only if the DB contains a pattern

    Hi all: I am working on a script, that needs to be run in many different SQL servers. Some of them, shared the same structure, in other words, they are identical, but the filegroups and the DB names are different. This is because is one per client. Anyway, I would like when running a script, If I chose the wrong DB, it should not be executed. I am trying to mantain a clean DB. here is my example, which only works for dropping a view if exists, but does not work for creating a new one. I also wonder how it would be for creating a stored procedure.     I'm trying to set up a relational View but not sure how to do it. Here's an example of what I'm going for using the node types Artist and Song. Artist Song Length Bob Dylan Like a Rolling Stone 2:00 Bruce Springsteen Atlantic City 4:00 Burce Springsteen Born to Run 5:24 Van Morrison Domino 3:22 Van Morrison Brown Eyed Girl 4:30 Assuming I have an Artist node type that has a node reference to Song (set to unlimited) and a Song data type with an additional field for length, how would I go about configuring the view to output this view?     Hello, I have a dictionary I'm passing to a View. I want to be able to pass the values of that dictionary back to a Controller action from this same View. Is there anyway this can be accomplished without using a form? The situation is that I need to be able to pass these back to a controller action that is called when a user clicks an ActionLink from the View, and in my experience an ActionLink cannot be used to submit a values of a form, i.e. I've only been able to submit values of a form using the form's submit button. Unless there's a way to use an ActionLink to submit values in a form.

  • Adding a new view to a Window-based app (re: MapKit tutorial)

    I'm trying add a new view in a window-based application but not really getting anywhere. I've been going through a great MapKit tutorial lately, http://mithin.in/2009/06/22/using-iphone-sdk-mapkit-framework-a-tutorial/ and have successfully set it up and added some further buttons and customizations. However I've gotten stuck at what I assume ought to be a brain-dead simple step. I have added a toolbar to the bottom of the app, and a 'settings' style button. Following this I created a SettingsViewController complete with it's own view. Now I'd like to connect them but I've had absolutely no luck trying to figure out how to do this. I've also gone through several other good tutorials lately, http://miketeo.net/wp/index.php/2008/08/31/simple-iphone-tutorial-part-1.html http://blog.webscale.co.in/?p=228 http://www.iphonesdkarticles.com/2009/01/uitableview-searching-table-view.html but I've gotten lost trying to tie these two bits together.     Hi, I am using ASP.NET MVC2 with NHibernate, but am facing an issue. All calls to the database via NHibernate should be inside a transaction, however code inside the view kicks off database calls in some instances. Thus there is a need to be able to commit the transaction after the view has rendered. For example displaying a list of users and their user roles you might show the user role using this code: <%: Model.UserRole.Name % This will cause a hit on the database as the UserRole is loaded using a NHibernate proxy. You can fetch the UserRole eagerly which circumvents the issue in this case, but there are cases where it is much faster to use lazy loading. Anyway, is there a way to run code after a view has rendered?

    I'm trying to create a view of nodes and their translations. Specifically, I want each row to show the node title for each language. The way I'm doing it right now is by filtering the view by a specific language, then adding one relationship of type "Node translation: Translations" for each language on the site. I can then choose the "Node: Title" field, once for the original language and once per relationship. The problem with this approach is that the nodes that don't exist in the filtered language, but exist in other languages, are not included in the view. That's what I need help with.

  • Alignment of View Elements within a LinearLayout

    I hate to ask this question; for some reason I can't figure it out on my own. I have a vertical LinearLayout that contains a custom View that I've defined in my app and and a TextView. I'd like my custom View to be aligned on the top of the screen and the TextView to be aligned at the bottom of the screen. Unfortunately, no matter what changes I make to the attributes of the XML file, my custom View always seems to be centered vertically when I run the emulator.     In an ASP.NET MVC application (which has very little chance of having its view technology ported to something non-HTML, but whose functional requirements evolve weekly,) how much HTML should ideally be allowed to be directly represented in the Model? I might come across as a design bigot for this, but I regard it as bad practice to allow any view constructs to "leak" into the model in an MVC application (and vice versa). For example, a Model that represents an item you're about to purchase should know nothing about the HTML check box that says "add giftwrap/message", nor should it know about any HTML drop down lists for payment card types. Conversely the View shouldn't be doing work like figuring out button text by translating keys into values (by looking in resource files.)

    I have created a view in Drupal. I"m using javascript to modify css in each row. The script runs on the first row, but does not make the changes on the rest of rows from the view.     You may have already come across some of my other questions related to question, but I was having an issue with a SplitView iPad app where my application:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions method stopped executing after I went into Interface Builder and changed around the structure of my apps interface. I couldn't figure out what was preventing my didFinishLauchingWithOptions method from executing, but then I removed a "view" object I had in my view heirarchy (shown below) and suddenly my didFinishLauchingWithOptions method started executing again. I've moved passed it now, but I'm still unclear why that would cause the problem. Any ideas why that "view" object would prevent the didFinishLaunchingWithOptions method from executing?

Now i need to set a link in the existing view of each user.So i have to edit the profile plugin , mainly the page profile/views/default/profile/listing.php But how can i do this, without modifying elggs default plugin 'profile'. I have tried a method that i have copied the folder 'profile' from profile/views/default/profile and put it in adv/views/default/.But it donot working.] Is any solution for adding new link to the user view with editing other plugin, only editing our own plugin example 'adv'.

    I have an application that isn't nav based. So there is no UINavigationController in the App Delegate. However, I need to switch to a UINavigationController for a piece of the application. Steps I currently took... Create a new Class that extends UIViewController Added a UINavigationController via IB Told IB that the new UIViewController's view is the view for the UINavigationController The problem now is that the File's Owner needs it's view set. But via IB there is no way to specify this. So obviously, I'm not going about this the right way. Any tips in the right direction are much appreciated.

    I have a web page which display a list of items in a HTML table. Above the list is a form which allows the user to add a new item to the list via AJAX (using Ajax.BeginForm). When the data is posted to the controller via AJAX I add the new item to the database backend and generate a new table row via a Partial View which then gets appended to the exisiting table. When the form to add new items however contains errors, I want to render the form back to the web browser and display that. So here is the question: Is it possible to specify the UpdateTargetId from within the controller? At the moment whatever View I return from the controller gets inserted in the same target, but I would like to update a different target (ie. different UpdateTargetId) based on whatever view was returned from the controller. Any help would be appreciated...

  • iPhone - Make loadView entries fill up parent view?

    I have a loadView call that basically places one view at the top (like a header) and one at the bottom (like a footer). It's possible via a passed in parameter to not have a header or a footer, to hide them later, or to resize the view. I have all this working, but it's very susceptible to breaking because the views can go in various places of various sizes and all must be manually set to the correct size or they will not use up all the space. I want one in between the two of them that automatically resizes to fill whatever space is not taken by the others. loadView doesn't seem to be able to obtain the size of its parent's frame (or where it's being fit in, exactly), nor do I see an obvious way to just put the center view at a certain position and have its width and height automatically adapted. Any ideas? If I'm not explaining myself well enough and you know Java Swing, think BorderLayout with a BorderLayout.NORTH, BorderLayout.SOUTH, and BorderLayout.CENTER component.

Should a UIView be used or a UITableView? I've attempted using a UITableView - however I couldn't add the labels or buttons. So I've now built the view using a UIView. I added the labels and buttons and then a UITableView from the library. However I have no idea how to populate the rows in the table? Any ideas? Regards, Fiona

    Hello, I have a view set up in drupal and I am using some jquery code within the view which hides some data based upon a text box value. Everything is working fine for me when I am logged in. When I log out and access the block anonymously, it doesn't work correctly. I am somewhat new to drupal, and don't know where to begin troubleshooting. I assume it is a permissions issue, but on the view, on the content type, where? If anyone could give me some direction on where to start looking, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

  • Drupal - Getting node id from view to customise link in block

    I got a little problem with Drupal (again) in that I'm trying to work out how I can build a block which is able to show the node ID of the view page the block is currently sitting on. I'm using views to build a large chunk of my site, but I need to be able to make "intelligent" blocks in PHP mode which will have dynamic content depending on what the view is displaying. So.. how can I go about finding the $nid which a view is currently displaying?! Any ideas?

    I have a custom view that works fine and I'm trying to get gestures into it. The most common technique I see is to add XML, such as this (from Android docs: My view is within a RelativeView and when I attempt to reference this GetureOverlayView, I get an exception. I've also tried to connect within my existing custom view class, like this: mGestures = new GestureOverlayView(context, attrs); mGestures.addOnGesturePerformedListener(this); But the callback is never invoked. Can someone see my errors or suggest a better way that will allow me to get gesture callbacks?

    Hi, What is the best way to do view management in a multiview application? Right now I have this ViewSwitcher method/function that comes from a custom delegate I created. The code is a whole bunch of if else like this MyViewController *c = [[MyViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"MyViewController" bundle:nil]; c.delegate = self; self.myViewController = c; [self.viewHolder insertSubview:c.view atIndex:0]; [c release]; That works fine, but when I visited the function a second time, is there going to be 2 instances of MyViewController now or just 1? How do I unload MyViewController when I switch to another view? Or is there a better way to manage my views? Thanks, Tee
