  • get type of NSNumber

    - by okami
I want to get the type of NSNumber instance. I found out on http://www.cocoadev.com/index.pl?NSNumber this: NSNumber *myNum = [[NSNumber alloc] initWithBool:TRUE]; if ([[myNum className] isEqualToString:@"NSCFNumber"]) { // process NSNumber as integer } else if ([[myNum className] isEqualToString:@"NSCFBoolean"]) { // process NSNumber as boolean } Ok, but this doesn't work, the [myNum className] isn't recognized by the compiler. I'm compiling for iPhone.

    - by devin M. arnold
Hello, It is possible to create an instance of a C# class within a aspx.vb codebehind file? When I try this within the Page_Load event: Dim oFlow As New Flow(HttpContext.Current.Request) I get the Type 'Flow' is not defined. The Flow class itself is located here: App_Code/CSCode/Cust/Frm/Flow.cs There's no namespace associated with this class. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. cheers, devin

  • Declaring object type as NSManagedObject or class name

    - by Don Fulano
In Core Data, if I have a Person entity is there any difference between: NSManagedObject *aPerson = [NSEntityDescription insertNewObjectForEntityForName:@"Person" inManagedObjectContext:[self managedObjectContext]]; or Person *aPerson = [NSEntityDescription insertNewObjectForEntityForName:@"Person" inManagedObjectContext:[self managedObjectContext]]; Should aPerson be of type Person or NSManagedObject? Is there a difference?

  • Error: No mapping exists from object type....

    - by jakesankey
Here is the code for my simple parsing application. I am getting an error that states 'No mapping exists from type System.Text.RegularExpressions.Match to a known managed provider native type'. • passing argument 1 from incompatible pointer type

    - by Andrew
Why does this code...: NSDictionary *testDictionary = [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys:kABOtherLabel, @"other", kABWorkLabel, @"work", nil]; throw this warning: warning: passing argument 1 of 'dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys' from incompatible pointer type Incidentally, the code works as expected, but I don't like leaving warnings un-delt-with. I assume it doesn't like that I'm storing a constant in a dictionary. Well, where can I store it then? Should I just place (void *) before every constant?
