  • Jquery Effect Onunload

    I would like to use the jquery slideUp effect when the user navigates away from the page just to make the page look cool as it closes. I assume that I should use the onunload event but how can I delay the page closing long enough for the effect to run to completion. One of the options that came to mind is effectively hijacking the page closing function, storing it in some variable and then executing it once I had run my effect but I have no idea how I would do that. Any suggestions or alternative ideas are more than welcome

  • Facebook Like-button problem

    Hi there, I'm using this code to implement the like button <fb:like layout="button_count" show_faces="false" width="450"></fb:like> But when I try to click it the counter is increased for about 1 second and then it goes back to zero again. I can't see on my facebook profile that i've liked something either. Someone have a solution for this? I'm using the newest JavaScript SDk in an Google App engine/ Django environment.

I can load image into PictureBox via ImageLocation property, but not sure how to use Image property of PictureBox for this. Thanks

I really like mindmapping as a way to organise information and I think it would be really cool to have a piece of software that allowed you to organise bookmarks into a dynamic mind map.     Hello, I've stumbled upon this flash map http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/special/nation/unemployment-by-county/ it looks like they used this map to construct the website. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:USA_Counties_with_FIPS_and_names.svg I am curious as to what people have done or any blogs that describe what can be done with flex and simple maps like this (not google maps style maps) but simple all-in-memory maps like this one.
