I know the app that I would be building will not run in appspot, but at least in my development server, I need to access a postgresql database(java.net.socket.*) and generate some files(java.io.FileWriter) in my development server.

    I am using VS2010 and C# When I map/select my database tables with LINQ to SQL I have to option to change the "member" propery, but when i delete the table (because I changed something in the schema for example) and add it again the member value gets "reset". Is it possible to set/override this member programmaticly, so that I dont have to change it by hand everytime I mean the member option of '<'Table Name="dbo.table1" Member="table1"

    I'm getting the following error: javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: Broken pipe Now I have seen questions/answers with respects to the socket exception, but this error is coming from a different package. Any help is greatly appreciated. BTW, I am seeing quite a lot of these errors in a struts web app Weblogic Node logs and I am thinking that it has to do with end users closing their web browser before the page reloads/executes the next step (database transaction which takes quite a bit of time to execute, anywhere from 30 seconds to 4 mins).

  • NHibernate does not update entity when repository is passed by constructor

    Hi everybody, I am developing with NHibernate for the first time in conjunction with ASP.NET MVC and StructureMap. The CodeCampServer serves as a great example for me. I really like the different concepts which were implemented there and I can learn a lot from it. In my controllers I use Constructur Dependency Injection to get an instance of the specific repository needed.     I know the following is not possible because it has to be an int enum GroupTypes { TheGroup = "OEM", TheOtherGroup = "CMB" } From my database I get a field with incomprehensive codes (the OEM and CMB's). I would want to make this field into an enum or something else understandable. Because the target is readability the solution should be terse. What other options do I have?

Is there anything out there which will give me a nice IDE, Web Server, Debugger, Database, etc, on a single install image (*.msi or *.exe)? This of course would be completely opposite of Eclipse PDT, which requires you to search and locate a bunch of additional components which never quite work together.

    I got script what read from database and manipulate it so on the end I got $result array... on one server is it possible to serialize this object and pass it to other script so this $result array could be available for other script on second server... I got on first server: return serialize ( $results ); and on second: $data = unserialize ( file_get_contents ( 'http://www.......com/reader.php' ) ); ...but there is no communication between ....     Hi, my app presents a listview, from a database cursor and XML, that needs to replace the values in a column with various words based on the integer value contained in the cursor. For example, if the value is -1, replace it with the word "Invalid", but if the value is = 0 then just display the value. I was under the impression this could magically be done via XML... TIA.
