  • need to upload multiple files each with different parameters

    I have a form in which there are total eight fields, name, address, age and 5 other file/photo upload fields such that at a time one upload field is visible.. Now here every time I upload a file i need to fill the "name, address and age" as well. at this point I dont want to submit the form, but I just want to save these values in any variable and get back to same form with information of previous file ready to be submitted, now again user can upload new file with new values in... and so on... as user is done with the 5 files he should not be allowed to upload more but he should be allowed to submit all the 5 files to DB along with there supporting fields.. How should I proceed further ...?

  • TcpListener problem - re-binding to same port with different local addresses

    I'm trying to do the following: listen on some port for loopback connections only, and then start listening on any IP address. Here is the code: TcpListener l1 = new TcpListener(new IPEndPoint(IPAddress.Loopback, 12345)); l1.Start(); Socket s = l1.AcceptSocket(); Console.ReadKey(); //s.Close(); l1.Stop(); TcpListener l2 = new TcpListener(new IPEndPoint(IPAddress.Any, 12345)); l2.Start(); l2.AcceptSocket(); Console.ReadKey(); The problem is that if a client connects while listening on the Loopback address (l1), then no other client can connect to the Loopback address when the second listener (l2) starts listening. why is that? Another thing I noticed is that if I close all clients that connected to l1 (the remarked line), then l2 does accept loopback connections. Any ideas?

There should be a way to specify externalId as the primary key, no?

    Hi there, I've been searching for an answer for a long time with no avail, so it's time to ask. I'm trying to use .animate() to change the size of an image once clicked. The first state of the image would be a thumbnail size, which would animate to the image's original size, then to a thumbnail again. The problem is, not all the images have the same "original" size so I need a way to tell one generic function to switch to the current image's original size. This is my current code which loads on $(window).load: $('img[class=resize]').click(function (){ if ($(this).width() != 150) { $(this).animate({width: '150px'}, 400); } else { $(this).animate({width: ''}, 400); } }); Now this obviously doesn't work the way I want it, because .animate() thinks when I say width: '' I want to make the width = 0. Any suggestions how I should go about this?

    I have a form in one controller(A) that renders a partial from another controller(B), and stays on A's edit page during editing / updating etc. However... When the partial form form controller B has an error, the error doesn't show up on A's edit page right now, if there is an error, I am doing (in controller B's update method) redirect_to :controller => "A", :action => "edit" and then this is built in... but I don't know what to do with it... the error needs to be sent to controller A... but.. it doesn't format.xml { render :xml => @varFromB.errors, :status => :unprocessable_entity } thanks

Why is this happening? Why am I not getting 5 back instead?

    First Device: 8gb 2nd gen Version: 3.1.3 (7E18) Model: MB528LL Second Device: 32gb 3rd gen Version: 3.1.3 (7E18) Model: MC008LL When I call goBack on the 8gb device, shouldStartLoadWithRequest:navigationType: is called When I call goBack on the 32gb device, shouldStartLoadWithRequest:navigationType: is not called I am not doing any caching (not like it works anyway). To make sure it wasn't caching I removed any possible caching via the request object's cache policy and removing all cache whenever webViewDidFinishLoading is called. Same app, same url, everything is the same but the device itself. Why? FYI: shouldStartLoadWithRequest:navigationType: is called on the simulator when goBack is called

    Hello, I need help dealing with an array in my java program. in my first class, "test", I set 4 variables and then send them to my other class (test2). arr[i] = new test2(id, fname, lname, case); at that point, variables are set and then I want to return those variables. So in the test2 class, I have a method that strictly returns one of those variables public int getId(){ return id; } I understand this is a little stupid, but professor gets what professor wants I guess. What I want to do now is in my main method in "test" I want to retrieve that variable and sort the array based on that int. Unfortunately, I have to create my own sort function, but I think this would work for what I want to do. for(j = 0; j < arr.length; j++){ int indexMin =j; for(i = j; i < arr.length;i++){ if(arr[i] < arr[indexMin]){ indexMin = i; } } int tmp = arr[j]; arr[j] = arr[indexMin]; arr[indexMin] = tmp; } I appreciate any help anyone could provide.     Currently, when I create a table, and I mouseover a cell, that entire row is highlighted. I'm trying to make it so that it is only the immediate cell. However I need a way in code to check the extension of the file, and display the correct Image and xsl:attribute depending on the If statement.     on a plesk 9.3.0 running Apache on CentOS I have 6 vhosts setup. All of them run wordpress, installed via installatron. Sometimes, when I request mynewsite.com (last site created) it instead shows firstsite.com (first site setup in this VPS). this only happens on mynewsite.com. It has never occurred on any of the other sites in this VPS. I am baffled. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

  • Sleep a thread until an event is attended in another thread from a different class

    I have an application that fires 2 threads, the 1st launches another class to do some processing which in turn launches a 3rd class to do yet more processing. The 2nd thread in the main class should wait until some event in the 3rd class completes before it performs its job. How can this be achieved? I had tried implementing a wait/notify to share a lock object between the two threads but technically this will not work as I found the hard way. Can I share a lock between classes? Note, an instance of the 3rd class is declared in the 1st class and passed as parameter to the 2nd class. Also I tried creating boolean value in 3rd class that tells when event is complete then poll 2nd thread till this value is true. This worked but is not very desirable. Also is actionListner a better approach to this problem?

I am using a flexible-ad approach where we have: a table with ad categories (several categories such as home, furniture, cars, etc.) id_category name a table with details for the ad categories (home: area, squared meters. car: seats, color.) id_detail id_category (the categ the detail describes) name type (boolean, char, int, long, etc.) the ad table (i am selling a house. i am selling a car.) id_ad id_category text date a table where i plan to consolidate the details of the ads (home: A-area, 500 sq-meters. car: 5 seats, red.) id_detail_ad id_ad id_detail value Is this possible? Can I have a table of details for all the ads, even if details include numbers, texts, booleans, etc? Or would I have to save them all as text and then interpret them via code accordingly? Please express your opinions. Thank you.
