  We have a website developed by ASP.NET+IIS7 and its default document is default.aspx. It works fine. But when we tried to switch the default to index.html, weird things happened. We have modified web.config as follows: <defaultDocument> <files> <clear /> <add value="index.html" /> </files> </defaultDocument> and we have clear everything under C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files``, and restart the worker process. We even changed the name of Default.aspx to dddd.aspx. But everything stays the same when accessing with http://localhost/<MyAppName>/! And when we tried to access with http://localhost/<MyAppName>/index.html, it works fine. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

• Word on HTML document point, using UIWebView, DOM and Javascript

  Hey guys, How can I figure out which word is at the point where the user tapped on a UIWebView? I am able to detect the CGPoint for the tap (subclassing UIWindow like this), and I can actually get the DOM element on that point using javascript. But I know very little of javascript and DOM to figure out how can I actually get which word the user tapped on. Is that possible? • "Access is denied" error on accessing iframe document object

  For posting AJAX forms in a form with many parameters, I am using a solution of creating an iframe, posting the form to it by POST, and then accessing the iframe's content. specifically, I am accessing the content like this: $("some_iframe_id").get(0).contentWindow.document I tested it and it worked. On some of the pages, I started getting an "Access is denied" error. As far as I know, this shouldn't happen if the iframe is served from the same domain. I'm pretty sure it was working before. Anybody have a clue? If I'm not being clear enough: I'm posting to the same domain. So this is not a cross-domain request. I am testing on IE only. P.S. I can't use simple ajax POST queries (don't ask...)

  I know this isn't really what XPath is for but if I have a HashMap of XPath expressions to values how would I go about building an XML document. I've found dom-4j's DocumentHelper.makeElement(branch, xpath) except it is incapable of creating attributes or indexing. Surely a library exists that can do this? • Simple javascript document.write isn't working...

  Here's the code in question I'm trying to create a simple application - each of the three men has a rel="x" attribute attached them. I'm using var regionId = $('img.selected-region').attr('rel'); to make the rel of the currently selected item the value of reginId. I want to test this out by performing a simple document.write(regionId) command in a div under the pictures of the men. However, it's not working. Have I put the var regionId definition in the right place in the script window? I'm completely new to javascript so the syntax is confusing to me - and help would be greatly appreciated.

To see what I mean, try the following: Upload file.pdf to your server (i.e., http://example.com). Visit http://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http://example.com/file.pdf Upload a new file to replace file.pdf (but use the same name). Revisit http://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http://example.com/file.pdf. Google Docs Viewer still shows the old file.pdf. Anyone know how to correct this? (I have already tried clearing browser cache, switching browsers, and logging in with a different google account to view the link.)

Unfortunately I never worked with php dom and I can't figure it out how to extract the values . I tried to follow the tutorial found on IBM website http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/library/os-xmldomphp/ but I had no success. Some help would be highly appreciated.

  Hi, I can easily validate a XML document against a XML Schema, eg. with XMLSpy or programmatically. Is it possible to do this with a WSDL file? It does not seem possible with XMLSpy or any other XML tool I know. For me the only possibility right now is to do it programmatically, eg. by generating Java code from the WSDL and starting a request, which is then marshalled correctly. If there is no tool / easy programmatic approach, is there a tool which can extract XML Schema from the WSDL? Best

• Using resize to getScript if above x pixels (jQuery)

  So I have an issue with this script. It basically is loading the script on any resize event. I have it working if lets say... - User has window size above 768 (getScipt() and content by .load() in that script) - Script will load (and content) - User for some reason window size goes below 768 (css hides #div) - User re-sizes again above 768, And does not load the script again! (css displays the div) Great. Works right. Now.. (for some cray reason) - User has window size below 768 (Does NOT getScript() or nothing) - User re-sizes above 768 and stops at any px (getScript and content) - User re-sizes again anything above 768 (It getScript AGAIN) I need it to only get script once. Ive used some code from here jQuery: How to detect window width on the fly? (edit - i found this, which he has the same issue of loading a script once.) Problem with function within $(window).resize - using jQuery And others i lost the links to :/ When i first found this problem I was using something like this, then i added the allcheckWidth() to solve problem. Edit - To give an example, in desktop.js i have a gif that loads before "abc" content, that gets inserted by .load(). On resize this gif will show up and the .load() in desktop.js will fire again. • one document.createElement, append it twice, only shows once

  I have a button I want to use in the beginning and the end of the page: var button_save = document.createElement('button'); $("#compteurs").append(button_save); [...] $("#compteurs").append(button_save); but it only appear at the end of the page. If I remove it from the bottom of the page, it appear at the begining of page. It's a kind of pointer. Is there a way to create the button only once and use it twice? Thanks!

  I was hoping to open a document in a menu control using a sitemap. I am using the following code in the sitemap but get an error. I would like to be able to click on the menu item, have it open the sample doc in a new window, but not to have the original page navigate to a new place (essentially to do nothing on the main page.) <siteMapNode url="javascript:widow.open('Sample.doc','SampleName'); return false" title="FAQs" description="FAQs" /> Any idea?
