  I'm trying my hands at a simple Chrome Extension, but am running into a problem with providing a value for the matches array in my content_scripts. { "name": "My Extension", "version": "1.0", "description": "My Extension Experiment", "browser_action": { "default_icon": "icon.png", "default_title": "Ext", "default_popup": "popup.html" }, "content_scripts": { "matches": ["http://*"], "js": ["scripts.js"] } } When I try to load this extension into Chrome, I get the following message: Could not load extension from 'C:\Users\foo\Desktop\Extensions\bar'.Invalid value for 'content_scripts'. I cannot see what is "invalid" about my value though. What I'm trying to do is match every URL, so my extension can manipulate the DOM (via javascript within scripts.js) of any page it is ran on. Am I missing something, going about this all wrong, or what? update After posting this question, I did notice that the Google example was slightly different than mine, so I modified my code a bit to reflect their syntax: "content_scripts": [{ "matches": ["http://*"], "js": ["scripts.js"] }] That being said, I still get the following error when trying to load my extension: Could not load extension from 'C:\Users\foo\Desktop\Extensions\bar'. Invalid value for 'content_scripts[0].matches[0]'.

• Tabbed javascript widget for a Rails app

  A user registers on our Rails app and they're given javascript to embed a widget in their website. The widget has a tabbed interface, like the JQuery tabs http://stilbuero.de/jquery/tabs_3/. iFrames have been tested, but the widget form factor and cross-domain policy negates the use of iframes. The widget is very dynamic and will often update the DOM with new content - and because of cross-domain policy, it looks as though JSONP is necessary. I understand that 'widget.js.erb' needs to create the widget layout, reference a stylesheet, render the tabs, etc - but once a tab is clicked, how does the widget request the content from the Rails app and render it in the DOM?

• Uncaught TypeError: Converting circular structure to JSON

  We're using the fb:registration plugin to sign up users on our site. Today I noticed the registration redirect is no longer working in Google Chrome and Safari (latest public release). I know for sure it was working with the same code as recently as last week. It seems to be getting stuck on submission with this error, which is coming from: static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/v1/ys/r/ioE9qOq_5Oa.js:101 Firefox and IE have no problem, so it seems to be Webkit specific. Any ideas?

• Jquery Bugs?? Long decimal number after two numbers multiply...

  Hi all I am working on a shopping site and I am trying to calculate the subtotal of products. I got my price from a array and quantity from getJSON response array. Two of them multiply comes to my subtotal. I can change the quantity and it will comes out different subtotal. However,when I change the quantity to certain number, the final subtotal is like 259.99999999994 or some long decimal number. I use console.log to check the $price and $qty. Both of them are in the correct format ex..299.99 and 6 quantity.I have no idea what happen. I would appreciate it if someone can help me about it.   Hello, I am trying to use Piston to provide REST support to Django. I have implemented my handlers as per the documentation provided . The problem is that i can "read" and "delete" my resource but i cannot "create" or "update". Each time i hit the relevant api i get a 400 Bad request Error. I know do to this I need a foreach statement like foreach($data['items'] as $item) but the problem I think I am having is that my many arrays aren't the child of one thing like 'items', right?   I want to pull feeds for multiple online services (e.g. Tumblr, Google Reader, Delicious) and aggregate them into a single feed to display on my site. I know of services like YQL or Yahoo! Pipes which will combine feeds, but sometimes those services are too slow. I was wondering what the best method would be if I wanted to run this on my own server (using JavaScript or PHP)? Ideally, I would cache the results to cut down on processing.

  I'm toying with the new autocomplete in jQuery 1.8-UI. I've provided data in the following format ["val1", "val2", "val3"] This is coming from a stored procedure but output as a string. • What sort of object is this and how to use it?

  What would be the correct name for this type of array? There are 3 main sections and 4 sub-parts consisting of "issuedTime" "text" "url" and "validToTime", how do you start to convert this to an object? If there was only 1 main section, it would be fairly simple to do however with 3 main parts and no identification for each main section has me scratching my head as where to start.   In PHP I'm running a mysql_query that has an ORDER BY clause. I'm then iterating through the results to build an associative array, with the row_id as the key. Then, I'm calling json_encode on that array and outputting the result. This page is loaded with AJAX, and defined in a Javascript variable. When I iterate through that Javascript variable, will I still have the order that was returned from the mysql_query?
