  • Actionscript NetStream.play drops port in relative URLs

    Hi, the current page my flash application is running from is http://localhost:3000/. I'm trying to play a video using NetStream.play(relativeURL) by using a relative URL (e.g. "myVideo.flv"), but when I look at the actual request made by actionscript, it's dropping the port number. (e.g. http://localhost/myVideo.flv). Is there something I can do on the flash side to make this work? Is anyone else having this problem?

  • One regular expression to match parts in various positions

    Hi all, I'm trying to parse a DSN (from a Symfony application) using regular expressions, in order to link with a secondary application, but using the same database. The DSN I currently have is: mysql:dbname=my_db_name;host=localhost with a regex of: /^(\w+):(dbname=(\w+))?;?(host=(\w+))?/ (using preg_match()). This matches OK, but fails in my test environment because the DSN elements are switched around, thus: mysql:host=localhost;dbname=my_testdb_name I could just switch them round, yes :-) but I'm sure that extraction of the host and dbname parts from both DSNs is possible with a single regular expression, and I'd like to be able to enhance my knowledge at the same time ;-) Is there a way I can do this?

    Since I upgraded to jQuery 1.4.4 I've been getting several new warning messages when I run my unit tests in Firefox 3.6.13. Here's a typical one: Warning: Unexpected token in attribute selector: '!'. Source File: http://localhost/unitTests/devunitTests.html Line: 0 Or the even more useful: Warning: Selector expected. Source File: http://localhost/unitTests/ui/editors/iframe2.html?test=15 Line: 0 The web page renders nicely, and all my JavaScript code seems to be running okay too, so I'm reluctant to spend a potentially large amount of time chopping away at my code to track these messages down. However, can anyone suggest what's provoking the warnings?

    I am trying to update a simple web app that was built with struts2, jsp and standard servlets. I am trying to redirect a url to a specific action but can't seem to get it to work right.   • Entry points on different urls possible?

    Hi, I've got a typical gwt project, but am using some url rewriting techniques such that urls entered like: www.mysite.com/johndoe www.mysite.com/janedoe all get served by my main entrypoint project.jsp file. This works great when deployed. When I'm running in hosted mode, it's a total bummer because changing the url in the browser breaks the link with the hosted-mode debugging, such that when I make changes to the source in eclipse and refresh, those changes are not immediately shown. I need to recompile the app and relaunch, and we all know how long that takes. Is there any way to somehow get the hosted-mode environment to recognize that the same webapp is being served on these different urls, and just reconnect the debugging connection? We basically get: http://localhost:8888/myproject.jsp?gwt.codesvr=192.168.1.2:9997 when launching hosted mode, I'd like: http://localhost:8888/johndoe to just reconnect to the debugger, if possible.   • JSF Rendering Issue (Page getting cached)

    I am facing a strange issue with JSF. I have developed one controller and bind it to request scope. I need to access one jsf page like http://localhost:8080/selectRule.jsf?type=A and on the same IE session I want to issue another request like http://localhost:8080/selectRule.jsf?type=B as we can see, only the type is changing here. This is why I have a ruleController bound to request scope, so that every request, creates the controller and pulls out the data depending upon type. I have a private HtmlSelectOneMenu choices item in the page. What I see is, somehow only once in the session the getChoices() is getting called. This is what I see For each url, one new ruleController object is getting created. Only first time getChoices() are called. In the subsequent time, if I change the URL in the web browser, the getChoices() method are not getting called though a new controller is getting created. Note: I am using JSF 1.1

  • Java - How to change context root of a dynamic web project in eclipse

    I have developed a dynamic web project in eclipse. Now I can access it through my browser using the following url: http://localhost:8080/MyDynamicWebApp Now I want to change the access url to http://localhost:8080/app I changed the context root from the project properties | Web Project Settings | Context Root But it is not working. The web app still has the access url as earlier. I have re-deployed the application on tomcat, re-started the tomcat and have done everything that should be done but the access url is the same as earlier. I found that there were no server.xml file attached with the WARfile. The how the tomcat is determining that the context root of my web app is /MyDynamicWebApp and is allowing me to access the application through that url

  • magento login page loads with a white background

    I use magento 1.8.1 and I just moved my localhost site to a new server and imported my database using phpmyadmin and deleted the contents inside var/cache & var/session folders but when I try to access my backend the login page is loading in left top corner with a white background. However I can access to my backend and my localhost login page is still loading fine but the magento login page in my new server is not loading fine. I don't know what went wrong. Please help me out to solve this issue.Thanks in advance

  • WCF App using Peer Chat app as example does not work.

    I converted a VB .Net 3.5 app to use peer to peer WCF using the available Microsoft example of the Chat app. I made sure that I copied the app.config file for the sample(modified the names for my app), added the appropriate references. I followed all the tutorials and added the appropriate tags and structure in my app code. Everything runs without any errors, but the clients only get messages from themselves and not from the other clients. The sample chat application does run just fine with multiple clients. The only difference I could find is that the server on the sample is targeting the framework 2.0, but I assume that is wrong and it is building it in at least 3.0 or the System.ServiceModel reference would break. Is there something that has to be registered that the sample is doing behind the scenes or is the sample a special project type? I am confused. My next step is to copy all my classes and logic from my app to the sample app, but that is likely a lot of work.     I am using authlogic for authentication in my Rails app. Have named routes for the frequent actions, viz: map.login "login", :controller = "user_sessions", :action = "new" map.logout "logout", :controller = "user_sessions", :action = "destroy" map.register "register", :controller = "users", :action = "new" map.edit 'user/edit/:id', :controller = "users", :action = "edit" But also in my routes.rb i have these automatically created REST routes too: map.resources :user_sessions map.resources :users The problem now is that a user can login from two different routes. Ex: From, http://localhost/login and also from http ://localhost/user_sessions/new. How do i restrict access only from the named route i have defined and not allow from user_sessions/new?

  • Default controller name is removed on browser refresh (CodeigniterPHP/Nginx issue?)

    For all pages in my codeigniter app except my default controller, when I refresh the browser the url isn't affected as one would expect. However for my default controller, main.php, when when I refresh the browser at "http://localhost/main" or "http://mysite.com/main", the main part is stripped off the url. So the browser bar shows just "http://localhost" or "http://mysite.com". Totally lost on where to start with this but was just wondering if anyone has come across this before...?     Guys i'm facing a problem with this code, the problem is the timeout by timeout i mean the time it takes the program to tell me if the server is connected or not. If i use my localhost i get the answer fast, but when i connect to outside my localhost it takes 50sc - 1.5 min to response and the program frezz until it done.   • $.get sends prototype functions in request URL?

    I have some prototype functions added to Object which in my opinion were practical in certain scenarios. However, I noticed that when I executed a $.get, the prototype functions are handled as data members and are sent like http://...?prototypefunc=false. This is rather useless as I don't supply these as data members, but they are added to the query string. To be exact, I have this code: Object.prototype.in = function() { for(var i=0; i<arguments.length; i++) if(arguments[i] == this) return true; return false; } $.get('http://localhost/test.php', {'test': 'foo'}, function(text) { }); The corresponding URL constructed is: http://localhost/test.php?test=foo&in=false How can I avoid this?

  • mod_rewrite and relative urls

    I'm setting up some simple url rewriting rules using mod_rewrite and a .htacces file, but I've got some problems. If I set up the .htacces this way: Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule /index.html /index.php [L] when I call from the browser this url: http://localhost/~dave/mySite/index.html I got a 404 error. Using this .htacces instead Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule /index.html http://localhost/~dave/mySite/index.php [L] everything works fine and I get the index.php page I'm expecting. Am I forced to user absolute urls as the target of a rewrite? Is this a Apache configuration problem? I'm using Max OS X 10.6.2 with its standard Apache installation.

  • Why does SQLAlchemy with psycopg2 use_native_unicode have poor performance?

    I'm having a difficult time figuring out why a simple SELECT query is taking such a long time with sqlalchemy using raw SQL (I'm getting 14600 rows/sec, but when running the same query through psycopg2 without sqlalchemy, I'm getting 38421 rows/sec). After some poking around, I realized that toggling sqlalchemy's use_native_unicode parameter in the create_engine call actually makes a huge difference. This query takes 0.5secs to retrieve 7300 rows: from sqlalchemy import create_engine engine = create_engine("postgresql+psycopg2://localhost...", use_native_unicode=True) r = engine.execute("SELECT * FROM logtable") fetched_results = r.fetchall() This query takes 0.19secs to retrieve the same 7300 rows: engine = create_engine("postgresql+psycopg2://localhost...", use_native_unicode=False) r = engine.execute("SELECT * FROM logtable") fetched_results = r.fetchall() The only difference between the 2 queries is use_native_unicode. But sqlalchemy's own docs state that it is better to keep use_native_unicode=True (http://docs.sqlalchemy.org/en/latest/dialects/postgresql.html). Does anyone know why use_native_unicode is making such a big performance difference? And what are the ramifications of turning off use_native_unicode?
