    Hello, A DAS box is attached to my linux box using LSI SCSI HBA. Volume is properly detected on the linux box and filesystem is created using mkfs.ext2 /dev/sdc #No partition table I can not mount the volume using mount/dev/sdc /mnt/temp -t ext3 But I can mount it using mount /dev/sdc /mnt/temp -t ext3 -o loop Can anybody please tell me what "-o loop" option does internally? Has anybody faced this option before? Thanks in advance, prashant

    I'm trying to setup a Git server on Windows 7, using CopSsh, PuTTY and msysgit. I'm having problems cloning a repository using ssh. If I use a regular directory path, it works: $ git clone ~/vc/git/depot/test.git/ /c/dev/es/app Initialized empty Git repository in c:/dev/es/app/.git/ warning: You appear to have cloned an empty repository. Ssh, doesn't work.     I have a CWnd Derived object used in a dialog. I need to be able to drag it anywhere in the dialog. I have a code overriding OnNCHitTest for moving a dialog dragging it from a place other than the title bar. Is there any equivalent code to do the same to move this CWnd. The following code isnt working.     Hi, I need to write an ASP.Net form which will produce the following HTML: <fieldset> <legend>Contact Details</legend> <ol> <li> <label for="name">Name:</label> <input id="name" name="name" class="text" type="text" /> </li> <li> <label for="email">Email address:</label> <input id="email" name="email" class="text" type="text" /> </li> <li> <label for="phone">Telephone:</label> <input id="phone" name="phone" class="text" type="text" /> </li> </ol> </fieldset> However, the fields which are to be added to the form will be determined at runtime, so I need to create the fieldset at runtime and add an ordered list and listitems to it, with labels, textboxes, checkboxes etc as appropriate. I can’t find standard ASP.Net objects which will create these tags.   • Flash CS5 font is largest part of the SWF

    I'm transferring a project from CS4 to CS5 and (without any changes) my SWF file gets to be 10 times bigger. It was 7kb and now it's 77kb. I generated a size report and it looks like the font is taking up most of the space. I haven't changed settings. I'm not sure why font is taking up so much space. Is there a way around this? Here is my size report: Font Name Bytes Characters ----------------- ---------- ---------- _sans 12 MilkyWell 317 .blsu Calibri-Bold Bold 75960 %.0123456789 As you can see Calibri-Bold is taking up 75kb and I only have 12 characters in it.

  • Toggle iPhone tethering by code

    I live in Canada, so am fortunate that I can tether. One issue is that to toggle tethering, you need to drill down four screens in Settings, which is just a big hassle. A Google search returned nothing, so I was wondering if anyone here knew the code to turn on/off tethering? I know there's a toggle for SBSettings, but I do not have a jailbroken phone, I just want to create an app I build onto my phone and have an icon for quickly toggling it. Thanks

  • Use of clone() and appendTo() with draggable - unexpected results with dragging

    I'm constructing a UI for a doctor scheduling app. We have several doctors, each of whom can go in one of several locations on a scheduled day (M - F). I have the main day/location grid (table) in the center of the screen. At the left is a table for the doctor names. On loading, each table cell contains a span (outlined) with the doctor name. The doctor name can go in one slot for each day. I didn't want to just put 5 copies of the doctor name, because the doctor might not be available all 5 days of the week. The idea was: Drag the span and drop into the calendar table. On the drag "start" event, clone the span and append it to the table cell. Now there is another span ready to be dropped into the calendar table. One line of code does the work: $(ui.helper).clone(true).prependTo(ui.helper.parent()); This works. But when I move the cloned span, the original one moves in sync - preserving the spatial relationships as I move the clone around (no doubt there's a "position:relative;left=XX;top=YY" inserted somewhere). I'm sure there's a way to do what I'm thinking of, while keeping the two spans independent. But I'm not thinking of one. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks!   • Pulling info from database and dynamically adding them into different divs

    This may be a bit of a php n00b question but i've managed to get it working this far and I'm a little bit stuck. I'm pulling 12 images with descriptions out of a database. I want to insert them into a client rotator that has 3 sets of 4. They will be contained in divs called clientrotate1, clientrotate2, and clientrotate3 respectively. Inside each of those divs I want to have 4 images with classes thumb1, thumb2, thumb3, and thumb4 I am successful in having the images and descriptions pull into clientrotator 1. Where I get stuck is to how to dynamically add the 2nd and 3rd set of data into clientrotator2 and clientrotator3.     Hello all, I have written an application that unit tests our hardware via a internet browser. I have command classes in the assembly that are a wrapper around individual web browser actions such as ticking a checkbox, selecting from a dropdown box as such: BasicConfigurationCommands EventConfigurationCommands StabilizationCommands and a set of test classes, that use the command classes to perform scripted tests: ConfigurationTests StabilizationTests These are then invoked via the GUI to run prescripted tests by our QA team. However, as the firmware is changed quite quickly between the releases it would be great if a developer could write an XML file that could invoke either the tests or the commands: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <testsuite> <StabilizationTests> <StressTest repetition="10" /> </StabilizationTests> <BasicConfigurationCommands> <SelectConfig number="2" /> <ChangeConfigProperties name="Weeeeee" timeOut="15000" delay="1000"/> <ApplyConfig /> </BasicConfigurationCommands> </testsuite> I have been looking at the System.Reflection class and have seen examples using GetMethod and then Invoke. This requires me to create the class object at compile time and I would like to do all of this at runtime. I would need to scan the whole assembly for the class name and then scan for the method within the class. This seems a large solution, so any information pointing me (and future readers of this post) towards an answer would be great! Thanks for reading, Matt

    Hello, I want to develop some crosstab also know as pivot reports in Asp.net with x-axis and y-axis being dynamics, allowing grouping by row and column, for example: have products in y-axis and date in x-axis having in body number of sells of a given product in a given date, if date in x-axis are years, i want subtotals for each month for a product (row) and subtotals of sells of all products in date (column) I know there are products available to build reports, but i am using Mysql, so Reporting Service is not an option. It's not necessary for the client build additional reports, i think the simplest solution is having a control to display such information and not using crystal report (which is not free) or something more complex, i want to know if is there an available free control to reach my goal. Well, does anybody know a control or have a different idea, thanks in advance.

    I have to write a simple demo for amount withdrawl from a joint Bank amount .Andy and Jen holds a joint bank account with number 123 . Suppose they have 100$ in their account .Jen and Andy are operating their account at the same time and both are trying to withdraw 90$ at the time being .My transaction Isolation is set to read-committed and both are able to withdraw money leaving the balance to -(minus)80$ although I have constraint that balance should never be less than 0. I am using hibernate .Is versioning only way to solve this problem or I should go for another Isolation level ?

    Hi, Looking over some older code, I've run into a strange namespace error. Let's say I have two projects, HelperProject and WebProject. The full namespace of each - as given in application properties - is myEmployer.HelperProject and myEmployer.Web.WebProject. The pages in the web project are full of statements that use classes from the helper project. There are no imports/using statements but there is a reference to the helper project added in the bin. A few example lines might be: myEmployer.HelperProject.StringHelper.GetFixedLengthText(Text, "", Me.Width, 11) myEmploter.HelperProject.Utils.StringHelper.EstimatePixelLength(Text, 11) However every line that is written in this manner is throwing the error 'HelperProject' is not a member of 'myEmployer'. If you declare the statements like this: HelperProject.StringHelper.GetFixedLengthText(Text, "", Me.Width, 11) HelperProject.Utils.StringHelper.EstimatePixelLength(Text, 11) Everything seems fine. In the solution object browser and the bin folder, HelperProject appears with its full namespace, myEmployer.HelperProject. I don't want to have to change all the statements, and besides I suspect this is masking a more fundamental problem here. But I have no idea what's going on. Can anyone offer any pointers please?     iPhone SDK question: Does anyone have suggestions on how to purge a cached UITableViewCell I'd like to cache these cells with reuseIdentifier. However, there are times when I need to delete or modify some of the table rows. I expect to call reloadData after the row changes. Right now, dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier always returns the cached(obsolete) entry from before. How do I indicate that the cache is stale and needs to be purged ?

  • Dismissing pickers and keyboards invoked by a UIWebView

    I am implementing an in-app browser using UIWebView, that shows an 'action' button up-top that - when tapped - scales the UIWebView and allows the user to perform some other actions. If, however, at the point of tapping this 'action' button, the user were entering some text on the webview, or using a picker to select an option from a drop-down list, then the webview gets scaled without dismissing the keyboard/picker. Apart from being ugly, this also obscures my main view and controls. So is there a way to make a UIWebView dismiss all associated input controls, such as keyboards/pickers, when asked to? I tried using [myWebView resignFirstResponder] but that didn't work. Any ideas? Thanks.

When calling the third method via a PHP soap client it returns an 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' exception. End Function PHP client call: $client-Add(array('param'=array( 'PropertyA' = 1, 'PropertyB' = 2, 'PropertyC' = "2009-01-01" ))); The WCF service works fine with a .Net client but I'm new to PHP and can't get this to work.   • KVM Virtual guest Paused on Reboot

    I'm running REHL 6 and just installed a Ubuntu Server Guest via KVM set to start at boot. This works correctly and the guest loads, but it loads "paused" and requires that I manually un-pause it. Can someone give me a hint as to how I can I get the Guest OS to actually become active on boot?
