If started process completes within 1 second, main program capture its output for further processing. If it doesn't finishes in 1 second, main program just terminate it and start another new process.     After experiencing a series of unpleasant issues with TFS, including source code orruption and project management inflexibility, we (meaning the project team of which I'm a part) have decided to move from TFS 2010 to TeamCity + SVN + V1. I've managed to get our MSTest component and unit tests running as part of every build. However, our UATs are failing, and I was hoping for some advice from the TeamCity community as to best practices w.r.t. running web servers and interacting with the desktop. I'm hoping there is a way of determining the path into which the the code is checked out prior to building? That would allow me to point the web server at the right place. The other issue is that our UATs use White to drive the Silverlight UI through an instance of Internet Explorer: _browserWindow = InternetExplorer.Launch("http://localhost:9150/index.html#/Home", "Home - Windows Internet Explorer"); _document = _browserWindow.SilverlightDocument; I've ensured that the TeamCity service is granted the ability to interact with the desktop, and I've set the build agent machine up to log in automatically (an open session is a pre-requisite for White to work properly). Is that all I need to do or are there additional steps required?

    I am trying to invoke powershell during the preSync call in a MSDeploy command, but powershell does not exit the process after it has been called. The command (from command line): "tools/MSDeploy/msdeploy.exe" -verb:sync -preSync:runCommand="powershell.exe -NoLogo -NoProfile -NonInteractive -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command C:/MyInstallPath/deploy.ps1 Set-WebAppOffline Uninstall-Service ",waitInterval=60000 -usechecksum -source:dirPath="build/for-deployment" -dest:wmsvc=BLUEPRINT-X86,username=deployer,password=deployer,dirPath=C:/MyInstallPath I used a hack here (http://therightstuff.de/2010/02/06/How-We-Practice-Continuous-Integration-And-Deployment-With-MSDeploy.aspx) that gets the powershell process and kills it but that didn't work. I also tried taskkill and the sysinternals equivalent, but nothing will kill the process so that MSDeploy errors out. The command is executed, but then just sits there. Any ideas what might be causing powershell to hang like this? I have found a few other similar issues around the web but no answers. Environment is Win 2K3, using Powershell 2.0.     I have a page which has several <canvas> elements. I am passing the canvas ID and an array of data to a function which then grabs the canvas info and passes the data onto a draw() function which in turn processes the given data and draws the results onto the canvas. So far, so good. However - I need to animate the canvas. As soon as I replace line 8 of the above example; draw(dimensions, data, i); with setInterval( function() { draw(dimensions, data, i); }, 33 ); It stops working and only draws the last canvas (with the others remaining blank). I'm new to both javascript and canvas so sorry if this is an obvious one, still feeling my way around. Guidance in the right direction much appreciated! Thanks.

  • How do you run a uncompiled CGI?

    I'm going to get right to it. iPage shared hosting. Trying to use mimetex.cgi to render math. Source code is at the link. After preparing everything just as I had with a different shared host (which worked), I get errors. Tech support tells me I need to upload the uncompiled source and use that instead. ??? Rather than going with them just being ignorant and wrong, I'm going to assume I'm missing something. How am I supposed to execute and make use of the uncompiled source code? What the hell is wrong with a hosting service that doesn't support running compiled CGI written in C (as far as I can tell)?

    Hi folks, I want to bind an event to a certain class and ID for when matching objects are created in the DOM. I am doing this as I have some jQuery code in an ASP UpdatePanel, which causes the DOM to be re-loaded on its partial postback. I have reset the events with live(), however I need to call a 2 line initialisation function as soon as the elements are created. Is there any way to attach this to live(), or some other jQuery function, or will I have to write code to do this myself? Thanks, Ed

  • DataSet.HasChanges is true even immediately after TableAdapter.Update is run

    I've got some legacy dataset code which I'm updating. I'm attempting to determine if the dataset has changes to it so I can properly prompt for a save request. However myDataset.HasChanges() always returns true. In my save method I've edited the code to determine when the dataset get's changes and made the code like this: 1. myBindingSource.EndEdit() 2. myTableAdapter.Update(myDataSet) 3. myBindingSource.EndEdit() After line 1, - myDataSet.HasChanges = true (understandable) After line 2, - myDataSet.HasChanges = false (understandable) After line 3, - myDataSet.HasChanges = true I'm unsure of why this would occur in line 3, shouldn't this be false because I just ran the updates on the dataset?
