  • How can we make a single dimension array to multidimensional Hierarchical ?

    I have an single array of Hierarchical categories. Index of the array is the category_id like:: [8846] => Array ( [category_id] => 8846 [title] => Tsting two [description] => Tsting two [subtype] => categories [type] => object [level] => 2 [parent_category] => 8841 [tags] => new [name] => Tsting two ) each value has its parent_category value, I have around 500 elements in the array, what is the best way to make it. Process i followed: krsort categories array, so that all the child categories are at the beginning, then function makeHierarchical() { foreach($this->categories as $guid => $category) { if($category['level'] != 1) $this->multilevel_categories[$category['parent_category']][$guid] = $category; } } but this is not working, it does it only for first level. Can someone point out me the error.

    In Ruby 1.8.7, Array("hello\nhello") gives you ["hello\n", "hello"]. This does two things that I don't expect: It splits the string on newlines. I'd expect it simply to give me an array with the string I pass in as its single element without modifying the data I pass in. Even if you accept that it's reasonable to split a string when passing it to Array, why does it retain the newline character when "foo\nbar".split does not? Additionally: >> Array.[] "foo\nbar" => ["foo\nbar"] >> Array.[] *"foo\nbar" => ["foo\n", "bar"]

  • why my array is losing it's contents when I refresh the page?

    I have created an: var checkboxFarm = new Array(); then I want to record a checkbox status in that array, as there are 11 checkboxes. Button.addEventListener("click", function() { rp_farmAtivada(index); }, false); when clicked change the variable in the array: function rp_farmAtivada(index) { checkboxFarm[index] = !checkboxFarm[index]; }; but every time I refresh the page it loses all the checkboxes status and I'm aware that all that array gets the "undefined" value. the checkboxFarm array is defined in the beginning of the script, so it should have a global scope. Am I missing something?

    Say I have a 2D array of random boolean ones and zeroes called 'lattice', and I have a 1D array called 'list' which lists the addresses of all the zeroes in the 2D array.   • Problems with 3D Array for Voxel Data

    I'm trying to implement a voxel engine in C++ using OpenGL, and I've been working on the rendering of the world. In order to render, I have a 3D array of uint16's that hold that id of the block at the point. I also have a 3D array of uint8's that I am using to store the visibility data for that point, where each bit represents if a face is visible. I have it so the blocks render and all of the proper faces are hidden if needed, but all of the blocks are offset by a power of 2 from where they are stored in the array. So the block at [0][0][0] is rendered at (0, 0, 0), and the block at 11 is rendered at (1, 1, 1), but the block at [2][2][2] is rendered at (4, 4, 4) and the block at [3][3][3] is rendered at (8, 8, 8), and so on and so forth. This is the result of drawing the above situation: I'm still a little new to the more advanced concepts of C++, like triple pointers, which I'm using for the 3D array, so I think the error is somewhere in there.     HI: How to set the default font for different language in the xubuntu? For example, I am using xubuntu9.10(English release),and I do not like the default English and Chinese font. I have tried to use "Application-setting-appearance-fonts" to edit the default font,however it just work for the English. The default font of Chinese is "WenQuanYi Zen Hei". I do not like it. I want to use "Microsoft YaHei", I copy this file from my Win7 system. And I tried remove the "WenQuanYi Zen Hei" by "sudo aptitude remove ttf-wqy",it show me it is successfully removed.     I have an array like this: $a = array ( 0 => array ( 'value' => 'America', ), 1 => array ( 'value' => 'England', ), 2 => array ( 'value' => 'Australia', ), 3 => array ( 'value' => 'America', ), 4 => array ( 'value' => 'England', ), 5 => array ( 'value' => 'Canada', ), ) How can I remove the duplicate values so that I get this: $a = array ( 0 => array ( 'value' => 'America', ), 1 => array ( 'value' => 'England', ), 2 => array ( 'value' => 'Australia', ), 4 => array ( 'value' => 'Canada', ), ) I tried using array_unique, but that doesn't work due to this array being multidimensional, I think.     I want to extract MasterPage value directive from a view page. I want the fastest way to do that, taking into account a very big aspx pages, and a very small ones. I think the best way is to do that with two stages: Extract the page directive section from the view (using Regex): <%@ Page Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage" %> Then, extract the value inside MasterPageFile attribute. The result needs to be: ~/Views/Shared/Site.Master. Can I have help from someone to implement this? I badly want to use only regex, but I don't Regex expert. Another thing, Do you think that Regex is the fastest way to do this?

    Hello fellow Scala Programmers I have been working with Scala for some month now, however I have a problem with some properly basic stuff, I am hoping you will help my out with it. case class PersonClass(name: String, age: Int) object CaseTester { def main(args:Array[String]) { val string = "hej" string match { case e:String => println(string) case PersonClass => println(string) } } } When I am doing like this I get error: pattern type is incompatible with expected type; found : object PersonClass required: java.lang.String case PersonClass = println(string) And if I then change the second line in the pattern matching to the following: case e:PersonClass => println(string) I then get the error: error: scrutinee is incompatible with pattern type; found : PersonClass required: java.lang.String case e:PersonClass = println(string) However if I change the string definition to the following it compiles fine in both cases. val string:AnyRef = "hej"

My question is: What is the optimal way to accomplish this? I am concerned that constantly using the + operator is ineffecient. Is there a better way?

    I am getting the below error from VS on an 32-bit XP Professional server even though I set Tools-Options-Database Tools-Data Connections to "SIDEKICK", which is the name of my computer. In other words SIDEKICK should default to the full SQLSERVER. In other words, I want VS to use SQLSERVER instead of SQLSERVER EXPRESS. And I can clearly see my database both from VS in the Server Explorer and also in SSMS 2008. Furthermore, I can view the tables of this database in Server Explorer from VS. I do not get any build errors. And it looks like all of the naming is consistent in my web.config file. I am developing my website according to a Microsoft tutorial, so I should not be getting an error.   • Can Hibernate default a Null String to Empty String

    In our application we are pulling data from a DB2 mainframe database. If the database has "low values" in a field, hibernate sends a "null" value in the object. This occurs even if the column is defined as "not null". As we are doing XML parsing on this, Castor is having trouble with it. I would like to fix this in Hibernate. Also, all of the hibernate hbm files are generated, so we can't mess with them (they are regened from time to time.) Any way to intercept all Strings and replace nulls with ""?

    For a markup like this: <div id="set1"> <div id="100">a div</div> <div id="101">another div</div> <div id="102">another div 2</div> <div id="120">same div</div> </div> <div id="set2"> <div id="105">a different div> <div id="101">another div</div> <div id="110">more divs</div> <div id="120">same div</div> </div> As you can see both #set1 and #set2 contain 2 divs with the same id (101, 120). Is it possible somehow with jQuery to find the common elements and add a class to the divs in #set1 that have the same id with divs in #set2?
