• problem with image urls in htmlhelp created by docbook xsl

  I have a Docbook XML document that has some images with special characters in their names (German umlauts). I'm using Saxon 6.5.5 and the Docbook xslt Stylesheets to create HTMLHelp files based on that document. Unfortunately the filenames are then url-encoded (% and hexadecimal code), which internet explorer can't deal with (with firefox it works). I looked for a parameter which could change this feature, but couldn't find any. I also tried to save my image files using the encoded names, but this didn't work either. Does anyone know a good way around this, or will I have to simply forbid special characters in my image names?

• Eclipse CDT on Snow Leopard cannot find binaries

  After upgraded to Snow Leopard, I can no longer run Eclipse CDT project on my computer. While the build process completes without any error, Eclipse does not recognize the binary file it created. When try to point to the binary file in Run Configuration.. dialog, it cannot find any binary in the project. Though executing the file from Terminal works fine. According to a post at on Eclipse forum, this might be a problem that Mach-O parser does not recognize 64-bit binaries. Does anyone know what are the solutions or workarounds to the problem so that I can run/debug my C++ projects on Snow Leopard. UPDATED The solution suggested by Shane, though allowing the binary created to be recognized, does introduce another problem. Since system libraries in Snow Leopard are all 64 bits, it is no longer possible to link the code created with -arch i386 with these libraries, and hence not a feasible solution yet.

exist for the emailaddress dont update data else create a user and update its profilexml from data fecthed from gedcom. for this i think i need some soln by which i can do only one roundtrip to database and can update all user's xml. or i can execute one sp to get userid from all users where i'll check if user exist then return userid else insert basic data and return inserted userid then for every user make xml from data and update it. please provide be suggestion what is best practice to do this kind of development. if need any more details please write me

  I don't think this is possible but I thought I'd throw it out there. Given this XML: <people count="3"> <person>Bill</person> <person>Joe</person> <person>Susan</person> </people> Is it possible in an XSD to force the @count attribute value to be the correct count of defined elements (in this case, the person element)? The above example would obviously be correct and the below example would not validate: <people count="5"> <person>Bill</person> <person>Joe</person> <person>Susan</person> </people>

  The code below works locally, but when I deploy it to the server it gives the following error. • Wireless card power management

  I have noticed that when my computer in plugged in, the wireless strength increases. I'm assuming this is to do with power management. Is there a way to disable Wireless Power Management? I have found a few blog posts that show hacks to disable this but what is best practice here? Should there not be an option via the power menu that lets you toggle this? • How to access the Principal from a Java service object without using FlexContext?

  We're building some Java objects that are exposed via BlazeDS to our flex client application. So basically the BlazeDS messagebroker servlet instantiates and invokes methods on these objects in response to client requests. Works great. We're using app server-based authentication and have set up a security constraint on the <destination> elements in the remoting-config.xml file element to prevent unauthenticated clients from being able to access these remote java objects. Again, works fine. However, there are several places within the implementation of these java objects where we want to get the currently logged on user's username. Right now we are doing this via FlexContext.getUserPrincipal(), which gives access to this but we have a nagging concern that we don't like the idea that the implementation of these objects (the service layer) has a hard dependency on a BlazeDS class. But we're not sure how else to get access to this. The same applies to accessing the ServletContext and such. Any ideas?

  I am in the midst of writing a small program (more to experiment with vs 2010 than anything else) Despite being an experiment it has some practical use for our local athletics club. My thought was to access the DB (currently online) to download the current members and store locally on a laptop (this is a MS sql table, used to power the club's website). take the laptop to the event (yes there ARE places that don't have internet coverage), add members to that days race (also a row from a sql table (though no changes would be made to this), record results (new records in 3rd table) Once home, showered and within internet access again, upload/edit the tables as per the race results/member changes etc. So I was thinking i'd do something like write xml files locally with the data, including a field to indicate changes etc? If anyone can point me in a direction i would appreciate it...hell if anyone could tell me if this has a name!!..I'd appreciate it TIA Michael Artz

  Visual Studio 2010 has no longer uses .vsprops files and instead uses .props files. To add a .vsprops file to a Visual Studio 2008 project, one could right-click the project icon in the Solution Explorer panel, choose Properties, go to the Configuration Properties | General section, and modify the Inherited Project Property Sheets property to contain a list of .vsprops paths. One could also modify the Visual Studio 2008 project file directly. Is there a way in the Visual Studio 2010 GUI to add .props files to a project? The Inherited Project Property Sheets property seems to have been removed. If manual editing of the project file is the only way to include .props files, where can one find documentation on doing it?

  I will be doing an occiasional import from XML into core data. I have around 50k entities that will be added. My question is how often should I call [managedObjectContext save:&error]. For every new entity added, or every x entities, or just at the end of the 50k import? I currently am calling it for each entity and tried only doing it for around every 10k and import speed went up drastically but after the first 30k it would crash with: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSGenericException', reason: '*** Collection <NSCFSet: 0x13e760> was mutated while being enumerated.' Before I spend too much time trying to diagnose what is going on there I figured I'd check if its ok to not call save on every entity? Is the # of entities before calling save limited by the amount of memory those entities are using?

  Is there a way to build Spring Web calls that consume and produce application/json formatted requests and responses respectively? Maybe this isn't Spring MVC, I'm not sure. I'm looking for Spring libraries that behave in a similar fashion to Jersey/JSON. The best case would be if there was an annotation that I could add to the Controller classes that would turn them into JSON service calls. A tutorial showing how to build Spring Web Services with JSON would be great. EDIT: I'm looking for an annotation based approach (similar to Jersey). EDIT2: Like Jersey, I am looking for REST support (POST,GET,DELETE,PUT).   I'm trying to get started on libvirt with VirtualBox as a virtualization solution. I installed everything and VirtualBox itself is running when using their VBoxHeadless command. However, libvirt fails to connect to VirtualBox: # virsh -c vbox:///session libvir: error : could not connect to vbox:///session error: failed to connect to the hypervisor I could not find any hints in the libvirt documentation that point to whether I have to make any domain specific configuration before using virsh. Does anyone have a hint? Or even better, maybe a tutorial that works through the way of using libvirt, virsh or it's APIs (my later goal) from the ground up.

  I've been working on learning to use Rails the last couple days and I've run into something that I haven't been able to solve with Google. So I'm just creating a basic contact form that sends an email. Everything seems to be working ok in testing, which tells me that the form is working, and ActionMailer was implemented correctly, however, I'm having trouble configuring ActionMailer. I'm running OSX 10.6.2. I have postfix running and have verified that it's running using telnet localhost 25. When I try to use the form I get a "Connection refused" error. This is my current configuration: config.action_mailer.smtp_settings = { :address => 'localhost', :port => 25 } I thought I might need to set :domain but I'm kind of confused on what that should be set to in this situation.

  Hi, I've a servlet that is invoked via jquery ajax. The resulting XML is then transformed using XSL and displayed on screen. Now, the requirement is to either print or save this content to the local machine. The print portion is working fine but I'm stuck at the Save As part. How do I do this using jquery/javascript? I'm using IE8/XP. I tried document.execCommand('SaveAs'); on button click but it doesn't seem to work in IE8. It shows the alerts I put in till that point, but doesn't bring up the dialog box. What's going wrong here?

  I have a msbuild file that I'm trying to run from Hudson CI. When I want to work with classes defined within this project from another project I have some problems in runtime. Actually, the most concerning thing is why I can not instantiate my, so called, TicketEntities(ObjectContext) object from other projects? when I catch following exception: The specified named connection is either not found in the configuration, not intended to be used with the EntityClient provider, or not valid.
