I tried few things like Contacting the ISP changing USB port for adapter updating router firmware tryin out the connection on a laptop Connecting directly using a LAN cord Nothing worked..     I am trying to implement winexit.scr in a windows terminal server. I want force logoff all "domain\domain users" from this server after 10 minutes through this. All these users along with domain admins login to this terminal server via Remote Desktop. I want to force logoff only for "domain\domain users" not for administrators and domain admin. I have tried the solutions provided in different sites..but it's logoff administrators also. Please help..thanks upfront.

  • Software that will extract the individual audio channels from a WMA file

    I have a 6 channel WMA file and I would like to extract each of those 6 channels into its own mono WAV file. This is a simple task with AC-3 audio files, but apparently not with WMA. I could re-encode the WMA as an AC-3 then extract the streams, but I want lossless solution. Please only confirmed solutions. I have put a lot of time into searching for a solution and have had my fill of "try this" and "this might work".

    I have replicated two database in SQL2008. The last two days the distribution database from publisher server changed to Suspect Mode and the replication process is down. I read a lot from Google and tried to repair, but without success. During my repairing process, the Distribution Database is has changed to Emergency mode.     I installed a SSD disk in my computer and installed Windows 7 in it. I disabled defragmentation on the disk. Now when I try to partition my other disk I'm getting an error Virtual Disk Manager The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. Well, I'm not willing to enable defragmentation because it makes the lifespan of the SSD shorter. Solutions? Thanks

Now, under linux I want to delete all files and directories except the .svn directories. I found many solutions about opposite behaviour - deleting all .svn directories in the tree.   • Induce Mac graphical login from SSH

    The title says it all. Is there a way to make the loginwindow process start a user session by running a command when remotely logged in via SSH as an admin on Mac OS X? When the machine is at the login window (no user is currently logged in), I want it to open up a user's session as if I had clicked on the username and entered a password. Solutions that don't involve scripting the GUI are highly preferred, but this Apple KB page may be of interest for those who go that route.

    I know Ghost and Clonezilla aren't able to build images of a system while the system is running(Without Rebooting). Haven't Checked on Acronis though, but i don't simpatize with private solutions. Question: Is there a software solution which is able to build a "Live" image? Would appreciate anwsers, since I'm one step away from building a Clonezilla test enviroment and this will just help on my decision. Thank you.

    I whould like this simple rewrite rule: /somefolder/mypage.aspx?myid=4343&tab=overview to be redirected to: /folder/4343/overview/ I looked for some solutions and none actually worked.. I tried: rewrite ^/somefolder/mypage.aspx?myid=(.*)&tab=overview$ /folder/$1/overview permanent; and rewrite ^/somefolder/mypage\.aspx\?myid=(.*)&tab=overview$ /folder/$1/overview permanent; What am I doing wrong?   • Determine hostname of connected ethernet switch

    I've a bonding on two interfaces. I'd like to monitor wether they are connected to different switches (the switches have hostnames). ethX should be connected to switchX and ethY to switchY. Currently I'm checking this with following command: tcpdump -vv -s0 -i ethX ether host 01:00:0c:cc:cc:cc After a minute it prints out the hostname (and much more information) from the switch. Are there any other solutions to monitor this? Greeting

    I need a static IP address that handles SSL traffic from a known source (a partner). Our servers are behind an AWS Elastic Load Balancer (ELB), which cannot provide a static IP address; many threads about this here. My thought is to create an instance in EC2 whose sole purpose in life is to be a reverse proxy server having it's own IP address; accepting HTTPS requests and forwarding them to the load balancer. Are there better solutions?

    What is the best way to backup windows SQL, Exchange or AD servers data to? NAS, external USB , iSCSI or perhaps some other backup solution? I will not however be considering cloud backup solutions due to bandwidth restrictions and cost. Currently I find NAS devices to give the best results but clients that do not have the budget for backup software use Windows Server Backup but then they can make only 1 backup to a NAS at a time.

    I have tried using Multirow Bookmarks Toolbar Plus and Roomy Bookmarks Toolbar Firefox add-ons, but the problem is that they are constantly stressing my CPU (even when idling). It probably has something to do with version 11 of the browser. Anyway, is there some clean way to increase the height of the bookmarks toolbar? I've read a lot of articles that refer to userChrome.css and I have tried a dozen solutions, but none worked because they were outdated. Please help me with this.

    I'm trying to run the mysql command on my mac osx but keep getting the error: ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) I did try researching this extensively but could'nt find a suitable solution. Most of the solutions refer to /etc/my.cnf but I don't seem to have this configuration file in the first place. I'm pretty much stuck and have been for quite a while. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • My firefox scrolling is jerky and very slow - how can I fix this?

    I have already turned 'smooth scrolling' on and have downloaded a plugin called 'smooth scrolling'. Whenever I scroll down, the browser movement is very jerky and slow. It is pretty much unusable. However, scrolling in a div with overflow: auto (like the related questions div above the question input textarea) scrolls fine. I am using Windows XP freshly installed with Firefox 3.5.1 Anyone have any solutions?

    i have a server i save a lot of files, i wonder how i use webdav with netbeans. eg. import a webdav folder edit the php files and save it the new changes apply immediately on the web server (cause the webdav folder is the same as the apache web root folder) i think this is a very smart solution so that you can change the website immediately, without having to download, change and upload. anyone that knows how to accomplish this? (feel free to propose other quick solutions for how to do quick edits)

    In other words, if I have a list with entries formatted "[Artist Name] - [Track Name]" without advanced knowledge of their corresponding YouTube URLs (if any exist), how might I script things so that YouTube searches for each entry, and generates the URLs for the first n number of identical or similar entries per a YouTube query? I'm gathering as much information about the install as I can (original people who installed it are, of course, not a resource). How can I find The default/current location of the MySQL binary files (often stored in a directory named data?) Any default or custom loaded cnf files? Looking for solutions that are a bit more sophisticated than a find / -iname '*.cnf' :)
