trackPageView on Google Analytics for iPhone Not Working

I'm trying to get Google Analytics working on an iPhone application without much luck. I've followed all the instructions on their website (google/apis/analytics/docs/tracking/mobileAppsTracking.html) and studied their sample application (google/gaformobileapps/GoogleAnalyticsIphone_0.7.tar.gz). When I run my application and go to Google Analytics' website (https://www.google.com/analytics/reporting/), the only page that is recording is /app_entry_point. I'm seeing one count in my Google Analytics detailed report once every time my app fires up. However, I have added other pages to be tracked but it's not working. Here is a sample of two pages I've added to be tracked: trackPageview:@"/calculator"; trackPageview:@"/tellafriend"; I call them from various ViewControllers in the app. In each of those view controllers I import the the GANTracker header: #import "GANTracker.h" I'll admit it: I'm an objective-c newbie. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated! Do I need to physically dispatch them to get the trackPageview working? If so, why is the /app_entry_point page the only page that is recorded by Google Analytics?

Hi, I have hosted a website. But now my client asks to change it to http://sites.google.com. They hav registered their domain in google. I logged in the site and saw the procedures to create a website from scratch. But is there any way to directly replace the site into google sites. Like, in my site i hav included css files in a folder called stylesheets/css and access it through the link tag. And there are several folders lik that, viz images, scripts etc. 1.Now if i have to transfer it to google sites, where do i create the folders and stuff. I have the priviliges to login to the admin part of the site. 2.And also is there anyway to create database and access it in google sites? 3.Also i see that only html pages can be created. Is there a way to add php pages or other scripting languages? 4.Going forward will google sites be usefull for professional web designing. pls give ideas on whether or not google sites is a good idea to go with

Select box is not working properly after including google custom search box in web page

Google local search API - callback never called

Hello, I am trying to retrieve some local restaurants using the LocalSearch Google API. I am initializing the search objects in the OnLoad function and I am calling the searchControl execute function when the user clicks on a search button. The problem is that my function attached to setSearchCompleteCallback never get called. DotNetOpeId - Using OpenIdButton for Google Apps

I am an ASP.NET newbie and I am trying to design an OpenID/SSO system for an internal web application. The web application is pretty simple and the authentication is currently being managed by a database with usernames and passwords. I want to replace the existing accounts stored in the database with Google Apps accounts. I have downloaded the latest DotNetOpenAuth-3.4.3.10103 package and got the OpenIdRelyingPartyWebForms sample up and running on IIS. I have built my own login page using just a OpenIdButton object that points to a development Google domain. The button seems to work fine in FireFox, at least it is forwarding me to the Google Apps login, but nothing happens when I load the same page in IE. When I click the Google button, nothing happens, zip. The same is true for the Yahoo button in the login.aspx page given in the sample. Hi, I need help with JavaScript in google map v3 I have an image and I need to be able to turn it. That works, but the real problem it's that I cant afect an marker cause I don't know how to call it and modify this marker. Google Maps Controls panel size is displayed wrong

I have a weird problem with Google Maps Control. I've tested in a blank page my custom maps with custom markers and everything seems to be ok, also with the control panel. When I tried to import all my code in the page I'm working with ( I use a full screen fluid grid system ) the control panel is displayed with strange size. I tried everything for disable/enable the ui of the Google Maps but the problem remain. The code of my maps are exactly the same, both in my blank page and in my site, but in the site the ui control panel is displayed very strange. Getting Google repositories to work with apt-get on Ubuntu Hardy

I've installed Google Chrome on Hardy via the .deb file and would like to configure apt-get for automatic updates. [I have another machine running Ubuntu Karmic where this works fine; apt-get knows the package as 'google-chrome'; I'm now using a Dell Mini 10 with Ubuntu 8.04 LTS installed] As part of the .deb install, two entries have been added to the third- party software sources tab: http://dl.google.com/linux/deb stable main http://dl.google.com/linux/deb stable non-free main However if I check for updates with either of these clicked, I get the following error: Failed to fetch http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/dists/stable/Release Unable to find expected entry main/binary-lpia/Packages in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?) There is a thread here which indicates others have had the same problem: http://www.google.co.uk/support/forum/p/Chrome/thread?tid=097d103f87b49abe&hl=en This references a further thread: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=38608 which suggests the problem has been fixed. Despite this I remain unable to get it to work, and none of the suggested workarounds seem to work either. Ideas ? Thanks.

Google App Engine/GWT/Eclipse Plugin Newbie Question- how to autobuild client side resources?

Hi there, I'm tinkering with the default GWT application generated by the Google Eclipse plugin when I click the Google "New Web Application Project" button in Eclipse 3.5. This will no doubt be familiar to many of you.. basically there is an h1 title stating "Web Application Starter Project," a text field, and a Send button. What I've found is that whenever I make changes to the client side resources, e.g. change the text on the Send button to "Submit" in the .java file, Eclipse does not appear to autobuild these resources. In fact I have to rebuild the entire project in order for these changes to be reflected in my browser. I do have "build automatically" selected in eclipse. I should state that this is my second GWT project, the first was almost entirely server side (restlet on GAE) and everything built automatically nicely. When I first tried this new project with updated client resources, on refreshing my browser, the browser stated "you may need to (re)compile your project." I'm not sure if this is relevant but I thought I'd mention it all the same. So what's going on? How do I get Eclipse/GWT to autobuild these client side resources? Cheers for any help you can offer! :-)

Hi, My company has a server with one big partition with Mysql database and php files. Now this partition seems to be corrupted, as reported from kernel messages when I tried to mount it manually: [329862.817837] EXT3-fs error (device loop1): ext3_check_descriptors: Block bitmap for group 1 not in group (block 0)! Silverlight User Group of Switzerland (SLUGS)

Last Thursday, the Silverlight Firestarter event took place in Redmond, and was streamed live to a large audience worldwide (around 20’000 people). Approximately 30 if them were in Wallisellen near Zurich, in Microsoft Switzerland’s offices. This was not only a great occasion to learn more about the future of Silverlight and to see great demos, but also it was the very first meeting of the Silverlight User Group of Switzerland (SLUGS). Having 30 people for a first meeting was a great success, especially if we consider that it was REALLY cold that night, that it had snowed 20 cm the night before! We all had a good time, and 3 lucky winners went back home with a prize: One LG Optimus 7 Windows Phone and two copies of Silverlight 4 Unleashed. Congratulations to the winners! After the keynote (which went in a whirlwind, shortest 90 minutes ever!), we all had pizza and beverages generously sponsored by the Swiss DPE team, of which not less than 5 guys came to the event! Thanks to Stefano, Ronnie, Sascha, Big Mike and Ken for attending! We decided to have meetings every month. Stay tuned for announcements on when and where the events will take place. We are also in the process of creating various groups online where the attendees can find more information. For instance, I created a group on Flickr where the pictures taken at events will be published. The group is public, and the pictures of the first event are already online! Can´t verify my site on Google (error 403 Forbidden). I have other sites in the same host with no problems whatsoever

I can´t verify my site on Google. I´ve done this several times for several sites, all inside the same host. I´ve tried the HTML tag method, HTML upload, Domain Name provider (I canp´t find the options that Google tell me that I should activate...), and Google Analytics. I always get this response: Verification failed for http://www.mysite.com/ using the Google Analytics method (1 minute ago). Your verification file returns a status of 403 (Forbidden) instead of 200 (OK). I´ve checked the server headers, and I get this result: REQUESTING: http://www.mysite.com GET / HTTP/1.1 Connection: Keep-Alive Keep-Alive: 300 Accept:/ Host: www.mysite.com Accept-Language: en-us Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0b; Windows NT 6.0) SERVER RESPONSE: HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden Date: Wed, 19 Sep 2012 03:25:22 GMT Server: Apache/2.2.19 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.19 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_bwlimited/1.4 PHP/5.2.17 Connection: close Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 Final Destination Page (It shows my actual homepage). Session 1 - Getting up and running with Windows Mobile and the Windows Azure Service Bus In this session Anthony discussed some considerations for using Windows Mobile and the Windows Azure Service Bus from a real-world project which Hitachi have been working on with EasyJet. Anthony also walked through a simplified demo of the concepts which applied on the project. In addition to the slides and demo it was also very interesting to discuss with the guys involved on this project to hear about their real experiences developing with the Azure Service Bus and some of the limitations they have had to work around in Windows Mobiles ability to interact with the service bus. On the back of this session we will look to do some further activities around this topic and the guys offered to share their wish list of features for both Windows Mobile and Windows Azure which we will look to share for user group discussion. Another interesting point was the cost aspects of using the ISB which were very low. Session 2 - The Enterprise Cache In the second session Elton used a few slides which are based around one of his customer scenario's where they are looking into the concept of an Enterprise Cache within the organisation. Elton discusses this concept and also a codeplex project he is putting together which allows you to take advantage of a cache with various providers such as Memcached, AppFabric Caching and Ncache. Following the presentation it was interesting to hear peoples thoughts on various aspects such as the enterprise cache versus an out of process application cache. Also there was interesting discussion around how people would like to search the cache in the future. In Google webmaster tools, can a "soft 404" be triggered by the text on the page?

I just ran across an error in Google Webmaster Tools that I have never seen before. I manage the website for my local community band (I play trombone). One of the pages on the site is a list of our upcoming performances. It is powered by a WordPress events plugin that uses a database of upcoming events that are entered through the administration interface. We just finished up our summer and fall concerts and our next performance will be our Christmas concert. I hadn't gotten around to adding that into the website yet, so there are no upcoming events shown on the page. In fact the text on the page says: No upcoming events listed under Performance. Check out past events for this category or view the full calendar. Then in Google Webmaster Tools, this page is showing up as a "soft 404": The page is returning a 200 status and Google is indicating that he 404 is "soft". I wouldn't have expected Googlebot to be as sophisticated to parse that particular sentence. Is Googlebot able to detect that the text on the page indicates that there is currently not content and then treat it as a 404 page because of that? If Google is treating this page as a soft 404 because of the text on the page, does that mean that like regular 404 pages, the page won't show up in search results?

After force-installing a 32-bit deb failed, how can I install the 64-bit version?

I tried to dpkg -i --force-architecture google-earth-stable_i386.deb and it failed. But now when I try to install the amd64.deb it fails saying dpkg: error processing google-earth-stable_current_amd64.deb (--install): google-earth-stable: 6.2.2.6613-r0 (Multi-Arch: no) is not co-installable with google-earth-stable:i386 6.2.2.6613-r0 (Multi-Arch: no) which is currently installed Errors were encountered while processing: google-earth-stable_current_amd64.deb somehow it thinks the i386 version is installed. No google-earth files or directories even exist. sudo dpkg --configure -a outputs: dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of google-earth-stable:i386: google-earth-stable:i386 depends on lsb-core (= 3.2). dpkg: error processing google-earth-stable:i386 (--configure): dependency problems - leaving unconfigured Errors were encountered while processing: google-earth-stable:i386 so it does exist in some capacity. sudo apt-get -f install does nothing out of the ordinary: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 10 not upgraded. The weird thing is that synaptic doesn't show any google earth package available let alone installed, nothing under the broken filter either. I have also tried sudo apt-get autoremove and sudo apt-get autoclean So, my question: How can I get rid of this issue?

Share Point ACL on OSX Lion Server - Posix group always takes over ACLs

Trying to configure a share point on a Lion Server machine. The directory is created by the local server admin (serveradmin) and has rwxr-x--- given to it. The serveradmin user belongs to the local staff group so serveradmin readwrite staff group read Others none We have an OD group for all the employees (Workers) . Using the Server tool we've given Full Control to the share point: Workers Full Control serveradmin readwrite staff group read Others none We would assume that Workers could then do what they want on the share but that doesn't seem to be the case. It appears the POSIX permissions take over the ACL permissions for Worker. If I change the staff permission to readwrite then the Workers can create a file or folder in the share point. I would think the ACL should take over but it doesn't, posix always win, rendering ACL useless. Furthermore if I leave the readwrite permission for staff and take Write permission away for the Workers group then the posix group still wins. Essentially the Workers ACL does absolutely nothing. There are reports of similar problems in this Apple forum thread: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3722901 The directory nesting fix suggested there doesn't work for us. Has anyone had similar issues and know how to fix this? Edit: in Workgroup Manager the employees user are set to primary group staff and given the additional OD group Workers. Changing their primary group doesn't help, it only shifts the problem onto Others taking over rights (logically) Edit 2: Ok, this is interesting, adding OD Users to the share's ACL works totally fine

How do I get Google to crawl my content when it's only displayed when you fill in a form?

I have a webpage. It has a form and the "results" section is blank. When the user searches for items, and a list that pops up, he/she chooses one option from list and then the corresponding results are displayed in results section. I once decided to log every ip,url of person with time that visits my page. One ip was 66.249.73.26, and on doing google search I came to know it is ip of google bot. link for whatmyipaddress google bot Now when I searched for the links that this ip visited, it was like this: search?id=100 search?id=110 ... search?id=200 ... then afterwards it incremented in steps of 1, like 400,401.. But people search for strings and not numbers. And because googlebot searches for numbers like this, I think the corresponding content is never displayed and so my page content is never indexed, even though it has rich content. So I want to ask you is that in order to show google bot all the content that the webpage has, should I list all the results in index page and ask users to enter string to filter results?

How long does it take to delete a Google Apps for Domain account and allow recreation?

Basically, I set up a Google Apps for domain account for one of my clients but upon trying to upload a CSV of users, only half were created and then I kept getting time outs, 404's and other errors which I never saw when setting up another client. I was not sure how, but thought I may have caused an error or there was an error Google Side when the account was created so I thought it may be best to delete the domain and start from scratch. Little did I know, you had to wait to recreate the domain! As far as I can tell from what I have read, there is five days to delete and allow recreation of similar user names, however, I can't see anything that shows how long you have to wait for the domain account. It has now been 5/6 days and I can't recreate it. The cancellation email I got shows "...If at any time you would like to sign-up for Google Apps for this or another domain, you can do so by visiting..." But it does not mention how long!!! I tried emailing Google directly but got no response. Does anyone know?
