  I'm trying to suppress output of the date line durinng logging when using the default logger in java.util.logging. For example, here is a typical output: Jun 1, 2010 10:18:12 AM gamma.utility.application info INFO: ping: db-time=2010-06-01 10:18:12.0, local-time=20100601t101812, duration=180000 Jun 1, 2010 10:21:12 AM gamma.utility.application info INFO: ping: db-time=2010-06-01 10:21:12.0, local-time=20100601t102112, duration=180000 I would like to get rid of the Jun 1, 2010... lines, they just clutter my log output. How can I do this?

Everything works fine, but when its paused, i wold like that current object to be 'on top' so other items run behind. • Edit Contact code worked in 1.6 but doesn't work on Droid 2.1?

  Hi All, I had some fairly simple code in my app to invoke Edit Contact activity on a known good contact index that worked in Android 1.6 but is broken for me now in Android 2.1 on the Droid. For example, if I want the product of the elements in a list, in Ruby I can write: list.inject(1) { |prod,el| prod * el } I found I can just use Product in Mathematica: Apply[Product, list] However, this isn't general enough for me (like, if I don't just want the product or sum of the numbers).   Hi guys. I'm creating a page that searches for an item and then be able to edit/update it. I was able to do it when it returns just one result but when it gives me multiple results I could only edit the very last item. • Performing full screen grab in windows

  I am working an idea that involves getting a full capture of the screen including windows and apps, analyzing it, and then drawing items back onto the screen, as an overlay. I want to learn image processing techniques and I could get lots of data to work with if I can directly access the Windows screen. I could use this to build automation tools the likes of which have never been seen before. More on that later. I have full screen capture working for the most part. HWND hwind = GetDesktopWindow(); HDC hdc = GetDC(hwind); int resx = GetSystemMetrics(SM_CXSCREEN); int resy = GetSystemMetrics(SM_CYSCREEN); int BitsPerPixel = GetDeviceCaps(hdc,BITSPIXEL); HDC hdc2 = CreateCompatibleDC(hdc); BITMAPINFO info; info.bmiHeader.biSize = sizeof(BITMAPINFOHEADER); info.bmiHeader.biWidth = resx; info.bmiHeader.biHeight = resy; info.bmiHeader.biPlanes = 1; info.bmiHeader.biBitCount = BitsPerPixel; info.bmiHeader.biCompression = BI_RGB; void *data; hbitmap = CreateDIBSection(hdc2,&info,DIB_RGB_COLORS,(void**)&data,0,0); SelectObject(hdc2,hbitmap); Once this is done, I can call this repeatedly: BitBlt(hdc2,0,0,resx,resy,hdc,0,0,SRCCOPY); The cleanup code (I have no idea if this is correct): DeleteObject(hbitmap); ReleaseDC(hwind,hdc); if (hdc2) { DeleteDC(hdc2); } Every time BitBlt is called it grabs the screen and saves it in memory I can access thru data. Performance is somewhat satisfactory. BitBlt executes in 50 milliseconds (sometimes as low as 33ms) at 1920x1200x32. What surprises me is that when I switch display mode to 16 bit, 1920x1200x16, either through my graphics settings beforehand, or by using ChangeDisplaySettings, I get a massively improved screen grab time between 1ms and 2ms, which cannot be explained by the factor of two reduction in bit-depth. Using CreateDIBSection (as above) offers a significant speed up when in 16-bit mode, compared to if I set up with CreateCompatibleBitmap (6-7ms/f). Does anybody know why dropping to 16bit causes such a speed increase? Is there any hope for me to grab 32bit at such speeds? if not for the color depth, but for not forcing a change of screen buffer modes and the awful flickering.

I have: Category has_many Subcategories Subcategory has_many Products Subcategory belongs_to Category Product belongs_to Subcategory Is there a way to have something like Category has_many Projects through Subcategories ? The 'normal' rails way wouldn't work because "subcategory" doesn't belongs to product so product does not have a subcategory_id field.   I'm refactoring a website using MVC. What was a set of huge pages with javascript, php, html etc etc is becoming a series of controllers and views. I'm trying to do it in a modular way so views are split in 'modules' that I can reuse in other pages when needed eg. "view/searchform displays only one div with the searchform "view/display_events displays a list of events and so on. One of the old pages was supposed to load a google map with a marker on it. I've read about window.onload but don't know what's the correct syntax for that. please keep in mind that other parts of the page include other js functions (eg, google adsense) that are called after the footer.

  In my rails 3 model, I have two classes: Product, Service. I want both to be of type InventoryItem because I have another model called Store and Store has_many :InventoryItems This is what I'm trying to get to, but I'm not sure how to model this in my InventoryItem model and my Product and Service models. Should InventoryItem just be a parent class that Product and Service inherit from, or should InventoryItem be modeled as a class abstract of which Product and Service extend from.   i am running Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS and it came pre-packed with python2.6 but i need to replace it with python2.7.2. (The reason is simple, 2.7 has a lot of features backported from 3 ) i had installed python2.7.2 using ./configure make make altinstall the altinstall option installed it, without touching the system default version, to /usr/local/lib/python2.7 and placed the interpreter in /usr/local/bin/python2.7 Then to help mod_wsgi find python2.7 i added the following to /etc/apache2/sites-available/wsgisite WSGIPythonHome /usr/local i start apache and run a test wsgi app BUT i am greeted by python 2.6.5 and not Python2.7 Later i replaced the default python simlink to point to python 2.7 ln -f /usr/local/bin/python2.7 /usr/bin/python Now typing 'python' on the console opens python2.7 but somehow mod_wsgi still picks up python2.6 Next i tried, PATH=/usr/local/bin:$PATH export PATH then do a quick restart apache, but yet again its python2.6 !! I want to sort this new array that product with the least "duplicates" are on the first place, but what ever I use (rsort, krsort,..) i loose product numbers (key). any suggestions? thanks.

  I was trying to fetch remote notification info when the app was not running,so I was told that I can get from : UILocalNotification *localNotification = [launchOptions objectForKey:UIApplicationLaunchOptionsRemoteNotificationKey] in method: - (BOOL)application:(UIApplication *)application didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:(NSDictionary *)launchOptions ,but still can't get info. Then I use alertView to show the info on iPhone(launch without Xcode),still can't get the info. Any other issue would cause this? Please let me know if you have any ideas.
