• TAPI lineGetAddressID() fails with LINEERR_INVALADDRESS

  I have a windows mobile 6 application using TAPI 2.0. lineGetAddressID() is needed to get the address identifier used by several calls in the telephone api, but I can't get it to work. I have tried the following to no avail: HLINE line; // valid handle from lineOpen(); DWORD addr_id = 0; result = ::lineGetAddressID( line, &addr_id, LINEADDRESSMODE_DIALABLEADDR, L"1234", 5 ); result = ::lineGetAddressID( line, &addr_id, LINEADDRESSMODE_DIALABLEADDR, L"5551234", 8 ); result = ::lineGetAddressID( line, &addr_id, LINEADDRESSMODE_DIALABLEADDR, L"1115551234", 11 ); result = ::lineGetAddressID( line, &addr_id, LINEADDRESSMODE_DIALABLEADDR, L"11115551234", 12 ); All of them return LINEERR_INVALADDRESS. Can anybody point out what I may be doing wrong? As a side question, how can I programmaticly get the address? It appears in the LINEADDRESSCAPS structure returned by lineGetAddressCaps(), but that requires an address identifier (which would need to come from lineGetAddressID(), which requires an address...). Note: I realize I could use 0 as the address ID and it will probably work, but I have no guarantee it will work for every platform. I would like to get this solved 'right'. Thanks, PaulH

That allows us to use arbitrary view methods as action handlers. The existing issue is that the input to the form, only displays on the console and not on jsfiddle result section, though no error displays on the result section, there is a new error appearing in the console of the updated fiddle: Uncaught Error: Cannot perform operations on a Metamorph that is not in the DOM. Finally solved I needed to comment out App.initialize() for it to work as expected. This the working fiddle ** http://jsfiddle.net/ACzaJ/20/. I don't know why that is so, but my guess is that, App.initialize works with other parts like the router for routing, ApplicationController and ApplicationView with {{outlet}} in the handlebars, which i didn't need for this fiddle. Finally Finally and completely solved This ** http://jsfiddle.net/tQWn8/ works with App.initialize. But you have to declare all those components above and pass the router to App.initialize, like this App..initialize(router). If you don't do this, then you will get the old error Uncaught Error: Cannot perform operations on a Metamorph that is not in the DOM.

• Extract wrong data from a frame in C?

  I am writing a program that reads the data from the serial port on Linux. The data are sent by another device with the following frame format: |start | Command | Data | CRC | End | |0x02 | 0x41 | (0-127 octets) | | 0x03| ---------------------------------------------------- The Data field contains 127 octets as shown and octet 1,2 contains one type of data; octet 3,4 contains another data. I need to get these data. Because in C, one byte can only holds one character and in the start field of the frame, it is 0x02 which means STX which is 3 characters. So, in order to test my program, On the sender side, I construct an array as the frame formatted above like: char frame[254]; frame[0] = 0x02; // starting field frame[1] = 0x41; // command field which is character 'A' ..so on.. And, then On the receiver side, I take out the fields like: char result[254]; // read data read(result); printf("command = %c", result[1]); // get the command field of the frame // get other field's values the command field value (result[1]) is not character 'A'. I think, this because the first field value of the frame is 0x02 (STX) occupying 3 first places in the array frame and leading to the wrong results on the receiver side. How can I correct the issue or am I doing something wrong at the sender side? • Params order in Foo.new(params[:foo]), need one before the other (Rails)

  I have a problem which I don't know how to fix. It has to do with the unsorted params hash. I have a object Reservation which has a virtual time= attribute and a virtual eating_session= attribute when I set the time= I also want to validate it via an external server request. I do that with help of the method times() which makes a lookup on a other server and saves all possible times in the @times variable. Is there a way to have linq working with this ValueTypes? Update: Using NHibernate.UserTypes.IUserType it sortof works.   I'm really new to C - Python interaction and am currently writing a small app in C which will read a file (using Python to parse it) and then using the parsed information to execute small Python snippets. • Place Query Results into Array then Implode?

  Basically I pull an Id from table1, use that id to find a site id in table2, then need to use the site ids in an array, implode, and query table3 for site names. I cannot implode the array correctly first I got an error, then used a while loop. • Calling end invoke on an asynchronous call when an exception has fired in WCF.

  Hey, I currently have an asynchronous call with a callback, which fires this method on completion: private void TestConnectionToServerCallback(IAsyncResult iar) { bool result; try { result = testConnectionDelegate.EndInvoke(iar); Console.WriteLine("Connection made!"); } catch (EndpointNotFoundException e) { Console.WriteLine("Server Timeout. Are you connected?"); result = false; } ... } With the EndpointNotFoundException firing when the server is down or no connection can be made. My question is this, if I want to recall the testConnectionDelegate with some kind of re-try button, must I first call testConnectionDelegate.EndInvoke where the exception is caught? When I do call end invoke in the catch, I get another exception on result = testConnectionDelegate.EndInvoke(iar); whenever I call this method for the second time. This is "CommunicationObjectFaultedException". I'm assuming this is because I didn't end it properly, which is what I think I have to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks - James

• Finding text orientation in image (angle for rotation)

  There is an image captured by camera, and I need to find the angle of the text in order to rotate it to make the image better for OCR results. So I know that the fourier transform can be used for that purpose, My question is, does it really gives good results or may be it is better to use something different than that? Can you tell me if there is a good method for this purpose? I am afraid that not every image containing the text will give me a good result after using fourier transform method. Actually, if I make like it is written here: link text (see the part related with an example of text image) calculating the logarithm of the magnitude of the Fourier transform of image with text and then thresholding it, I get that points and I can calculate the line approximately passing through them, and after getting the line calculate the angle, and then make an affine transform, But, what if I do not get a good result every time using this method , and make a false transform? Any ideas please to judge wether the result is correct or not, or may be another method is better? The binary image can contain noise, even if there are not so much of them, the angle found as a result can be not accurate.

• DOS batch file to enter commands in proprietary java app and receive feedback?

  Hello, I'm working on a project in which I'd like to be able to turn lights on and off in the Duke Smart Home via a high frequency chirp. The lighting system is called Clipsal Square-D and the program that gives a user access to the lighting controls is called CGate. I was planning on doing some signal processing in Matlab, then create a batch file from Matlab to interact with Cgate. Cgate is a proprietary Java app that, if run from a DOS command line, opens up another window that looks like the command prompt. I have a batch file that can check to see if Cgate is running and if not, open it. But what I can't figure out how to do is actually run commands in the Cgate program from the batch file and likewise, take the response from Cgate. An example of such a command is "noop," which should return "200 OK." Any help would be much appreciated!   I have aggregate functions foo(), foobar(), fredstats(), barneystats() I want to create a domain specific query language (DSQL) above my DB, to facilitate using a domain language to query the DB. The 'language' comprises of algebraic expressions (or more specifically SQL like criteria) which I use to generate (ANSI) SQL statements which are sent to the db engine. • MySql Query lag time / deadlock?

  When there are multiple PHP scripts running in parallel, each making an UPDATE query to the same record in the same table repeatedly, is it possible for there to be a 'lag time' before the table is updated with each query? I have basically 5-6 instances of a PHP script running in parallel, having been launched via cron. Each script gets all the records in the items table, and then loops through them and processes them. However, to avoid processing the same item more than once, I store the id of the last item being processed in a seperate table. So this is how my code works: function getCurrentItem() { $sql = "SELECT currentItemId from settings"; $result = $this->db->query($sql); return $result->get('currentItemId'); } function setCurrentItem($id) { $sql = "UPDATE settings SET currentItemId='$id'"; $this->db->query($sql); } $currentItem = $this->getCurrentItem(); $sql = "SELECT * FROM items WHERE status='pending' AND id > $currentItem'"; $result = $this->db->query($sql); $items = $result->getAll(); foreach ($items as $i) { //Check if $i has been processed by a different instance of the script, and if so, //leave it untouched. if ($this->getCurrentItem() > $i->id) continue; $this->setCurrentItem($i->id); // Process the item here } But despite of all the precautions, most items are being processed more than once. Which makes me think that there is some lag time between the update queries being run by the PHP script, and when the database actually updates the record. Is it true? And if so, what other mechanism should I use to ensure that the PHP scripts always get only the latest currentItemId even when there are multiple scripts running in parrallel? Would using a text file instead of the db help?

  Im new on Google Chrome Extensions coding, and i have some basic questions. I want to make a Chrome Extension, and the scheme is the following: -a popup window, containing buttons and result fields (popup.html) -when a button is clicked, i want to trigger an event, this event should connect to a webserver (i make the servlet too), and gather information from the server. (XMLHttpRequest()) -after that, i want my extension to load the gathered information into one of the result fields. Simple, isn't it? But i have several problems, right at the beginning:( I started developing with reading tutorials, but i have fog on the main structure of an extension. Now, i started an app, containing a popup.html, manifest.json ... In popup.html theres a result field, and a button <div id="extension_container"> <div id="header"> <p id="intro">Result here</p> <button type="button" id="button">Click Me!</button> </div> <!-- END header --> <div id="content"> </div> <!-- END content --> When button is clicked, i trigger an event, handeled with jquery, code here: <script> $(document).ready(function(){ $("#button").click(function(){ $("#intro").text("Hello, im added"); alert("Clicked"); }); }); </script> And here comes the problem, in popup.html this doesnt work, if i load it to Chrome, nothing happens. Otherwise, if i open popup.html in browser, not as an extension, everything works fine. So, i think i have basic misunderstandings on extension structures, starting with background pages, background javascript and so on.. :( Could anyone help me?

But the picture differs a bit: Things I've tried to investigate the issue: PyPy. The curve is ok. Disabled the GC using the gc module. Wrong guess. Debug output showed that it doesn't even run until the end of the test. Memory profiling using meliae - nothing special or suspicious. ` I had another implementation (a recursive one using the same merge function), it acts the similar way. The more full test cycles I create - the more "jumps" there are in the curve. So how can this behaviour be explained and - hopefully - fixed? UPD: changed lists to collections.deque UPD2: added the full test code UPD3: I use Python 2.7.1 on a Ubuntu 11.04 OS, using a quad-core 2Hz notebook. I tried to turn of most of all other processes: the number of spikes went down but at least one of them was still there.

• Returned JSON from Twitter and displaying tweets using FlexSlider

  After sending a request to the Twitter API using geocode, I'm getting back a json response with a list of tweets. I then that into a php array using json_decode() and use a foreach loop to output what I need. I'm using flex slider to show the tweets in a vertical fashion after wrapping them in a list. So what I want is for it to only show 10 tweets at a time and scroll through them infinitely like an escalator. I a class account, which has amount and can have forther subAccount. I would have implemented one method getSum, which has to return the summ of the amount of the account and amount of all of its subaccount.
