  • Running single integration test quickly in Grails

    Is it possible to quickly run single/all integration test in a class quickly in Grails. The test-app comes with heavy baggage of clearing of all compiled files and generating cobertura reports hence even if we run single integration test, the entire code base is compiled,instrumented and the cobertura report is getting generated. For our application this takes more than 2 minutes. If it was possible to quickly run one integration test and get a rapid feedbck, it would be immensely helpful. Thanks

    On the initial request to a page, I trigger a webservice and want to display a loading message. When the page has finished loading, I want to remove the waiting message from screen, but display it again when a change event in a checkbox triggers an Ajax call with another loading message.   • Profiling Java running by JNI calls

    Hi, I have a C++ code that upon execution: Loads JVM (I have full control on how to load the JVM), and call Java methods (from loaded classes) using C JNI code. The Java code has no Main() and it is actually not a standard Java application. it is mainly a static code that compiled and compacted into Jar file, the code is being called by the C++ module. Is it possible to profile this Java code being executed by YourKit (have license for it)? If so I'll be glad to know how. Thanks, Guy

  • Unable to diligently close the excel process running in memory

    I have developed a VB.Net code for retrieving data from excel file .I load this data in one form and update it back in excel after making necessary modifications in data. This complete flow works fine but most of the times I have observed that even if I close the form; the already loaded excel process does not get closed properly. I tried all possible ways to close it but could not be able to resolve the issue. Find below code which I am using for connecting to excel and let me know if any other approach I may need to follow to resolve this issue.     I'm struggling to get a handle on Meteor deps, in order to be specific my use case is: 2) When collection is changed, I want to run a jQuery function on the client side I think deps are what I'm looking for, but at the moment I have only just used: Template.templateName.set () -> return Set.find({}) ...in terms of reactivity. A solution which simply console.log's the collection each time it is changed would be more that enough.

So ideally it would look like: $('#container').addtoCollection(collection); The method would be something like: $(this).find('span').each(function () { collection = collection + $(this).text(); }). Where the first this would equal #container. So in the end you can do: console.log(collection); and get: 123 How do I write the function that does this? Thanks!

It'll be used during the 2.0 version is developed (ASP.NET MVC with C#). As its so different from the efault install packages, I've made it as normal windows application, not as setup application (a setup application don't let us customize so much as I need). And here is the problem: As its a windows application, I must "Release" it and send the compiled .EXE with the .DLLs, I must not "Publish" because if i do so, the published .EXE will "install the installer" and not my application. I need a way to verify and install the .NET Framework 3.5 like a bootstrap package prerequisite used in publishing option, but remember that I'm not publishing, I'm doing a "Release" build.     I am having trouble getting my Method B test to run. The logic is fine, but when the unit tests are run, only Method A will run. If Method A and B are switched in terms of spots, only Method B will run. So clearly the code is wrong at some point. Do I need to call method B's test from inside method A in order to get both unit tests to run?   • Copy operation fails when running executable using shortcut.

    I've coded a C# executable that uses xcopy (cmd.exe /Q /D /C xcopy [args]) to duplicate some files. If I run the .exe by double-clicking it, the xcopy operation works every time. If I run the .exe by double-clicking a shortcut to the .exe, the xcopy works only if the shortcut is in the same folder as the .exe. This makes absolutely no sense to me, I wouldn't even know where to begin to find the answer. So, you know, help.

    When you ask for a new HierarchyID between two others, the result gets progressively longer. For example, between 2/5.6 and 2/5.7 there's only 2/5.6.1 and other 4 component paths. The HierarchyID data type is limited to 800 some bytes, so you can't repeat this forever. Then again, integer types are also limited, but it isn't a problem in practice. Should I periodically defragment my table so that height doesn't grow unbounded?

Doing some tests I found that the second time that <model_name>.find(params[:id]).<field_name> run (for the elsif statements) it returns always a blank value so that the code in the elseif statement is never run. Is it possible that the problem is related on caching <model_name>.find(params[:id]).<field_name>? P.S.: I read about eTag and Conditional GET, but I am not sure that I must use that approach. I would like to keep all simple.

Has anyone encountered anything like this before? (And yes, I do have a dual core machine).

  • Problem running VBScript from my UIAccess VB app using MSScriptControl

    I'm trying to run some VBSCRIPT from within my application. This works fine when I run my program from within VB. But once I add "UIAccess=true" to my manifest and digitally sign my exe with my certificate, I am unable to run the code any more. It gives errors when I try to interface with any program saying "429: ActiveX component can't create object: 'myApp.Application'". Anyone have any idea why it would run fine in the IDE but not with an application with uses UIAccess?     I am trying to add an init() function to a MovieClip, but when I run the function from scene1 the variables that were set in the MovieClip are not defined yet... The MovieClip was dragged to the stage from the library. scene1: mc.init(null); MovieClip: var _default = 5; function init(num) { if(num == null) { trace(_default); } else { trace(num); } } This is tracing "undefined" instead of "5"; Is there a way of fixing this problem?

I want to rename the column of table at sql server 2005, following query I have run at sql server2005: 1) ALTER TABLE Details RENAME COLUMN AccountID TO UID; but it gives me the error: Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'COLUMN'. 2)I have added one new column in the table by query: ALTER TABLE Details ADD BID uniqueidentifier; and then I want to set the coulmn property to not null .
