Clear float issue

I have a page with the standard navigation bar on the left and the content area taking up the rest of the horizontal area to its side. For modern browsers I am using table-row and table-cell values for the display attribute. However, for IE7 I included a conditional stylesheet that tries to float the nav bar. This works fine except when the content area itself has floated elements and I try to use clear. My goal is to displayed the clear element right after the content area floats but instead it gets shoved down below the nav area. The following demo code shows this issue. ASP.NET - Call required field validator before AJAX modalpopup, client side

I have an ASP.NET/C# application. The user fills out a form with required fields, then clicks a submit button. An AJAX popup message is then displayed, and if they confirm, their information is posted back to the server. The problem is that the AJAX popup is fired BEFORE the req validator. I need to interrupt this and run the req validator, and then if successful show the popup. I know the req validator is working, because if you cancel the popup message, the req text is shown next to the fields. If there's no simple solution, I was thinking of perhaps an 'outside the box' solution, maybe hiding the initial Submit button after the req validation has passed, then showing an additional button with the popup control attached to it. Magento - Data is not inserted into database, but the id is autoincremented

I am working on a new payment module for Magento and have come across an issue that I cannot explain. Help passing _POST Form Data PHP

I apologize in advance, I am a PHP noob! I have form with some hidden fields. I need the values to POST to "submit_rma.php" so that they're not missing from the db--I need $qty, $estmate_id and $rma_type. The rest of the fields are just displaying data for the user and are readonly. Currently I only get value from the qty text field. Is there any easier way to pass these values? Grabbing all <a> tags in a specific div and displaying them

So I'v got a small problem with my portfolio site (you can see it at here) When you click on a portfolio piece, a top section opens up to reveal the details (Title, year, role, description) as well as the photos. I'v been able to get each project to replace all the text data, but I can't seem to get the images to load into the thumbnails. I have been able to get the last image i'm looking for in all of the images on the site, but not display each photo for each project. OpenJs mysql not reading database [migrated]

I try to access a mysql table using OpenJs Grid. I already doublechecked if the database "partsdb" and the table "parts" exists and it can be accessed from the commandline. How to improve performance of map that loads new overlay images

I have inherited a website to maintain that uses a html map overlaying a real map to link specific countries to specific pages. previously it loaded the default map image, then with some javascript it would change the image src to an image with that particular country in a different colour on mouseover and reset the image source back to the original image on mouse out to make maintenance (adding new countries) easier i made the initial map a background image by utilising some CSS for the div tag, and then created new images for each country which only had that countries hightlight so that the images remain fairly small. this works great but theres one issue which is particularly noticeable on slower internet connections when you hover over a country if you dont have the image file in your browser cache or downloaded it wont load the image unless you hover over another country and then back onto the first country - i guess this is due to the image having to manually be downloaded on first hover. My question: is it possible to force the load of these extra images AFTER the page and all the other assets have finished loading so that this behaviour is all but eliminated? the html code for the MAP is as follows: <div class="gtmap"><img id="Image-Maps_6200909211657061" src="<?php echo cdnhttpsCheck(); A Cautionary Tale About Multi-Source JNDI Configuration

Here's a bit of fun with WebLogic JDBC configurations. I ran into this issue after reading that p13nDataSource and cgDataSource-NonXA should not be configured as multi-source. There were some issues changing them to use the basic JDBC connection string and when rolling back to the bad configuration the server went "Boom". Since one purpose behind this blog is to share lessons learned, I just had to post this. If you write your descriptors manually (as opposed to generating them using the WLS console) and put a comma-separated list of JNDI addresses like this: <jdbc-data-source-params> <jndi-name>weblogic.jdbc.jts.commercePool,contentDataSource, contentVersioningDataSource,portalFrameworkPool</jndi-name> <algorithm-type>Load-Balancing</algorithm-type> <data-source-list>portalDataSource-rac0,portalDataSource-rac1</data-source-list> <failover-request-if-busy>false</failover-request-if-busy> </jdbc-data-source-params> so long as the first address resolves, it will still work. Sort of. If you call this connection to do an update, only one node of the RAC instance is updated. Other wonderful side-effects include the server refusing to start sometimes. The proper way to list the JNDI sources is one per node, like this: <jdbc-data-source-params> <jndi-name>weblogic.jdbc.jts.commercePool</jndi-name> <jndi-name>contentDataSource</jndi-name> <jndi-name>contentVersioningDataSource</jndi-name> <jndi-name>portalFrameworkPool</jndi-name> <algorithm-type>Load-Balancing</algorithm-type> <data-source-list>portalDataSource-rac0, portalDataSource-rac1, portalDataSource-rac2 </data-source-list> <failover-request-if-busy>false</failover-request-if-busy> </jdbc-data-source-params>(Props to Sandeep Seshan for locating the root cause)

Using Apache Camel how do I unmarshal my deserialized object that comes in through a CXF Endpoint?

I have a very simple camel route. It starts with a CXF Endpoint exposed as a web service. I then want to convert it to xml and call a method on a bean. Currently i'm getting a CXF specific object after the web service call. How do I take my serialized object out of the CXF MessageList and use it going forward? The Adobe doc Developing AIR applications for mobile devices lists quite a few icons to be declared in an application descriptor file. Select all li's but not children

I have this code: $li = $("li", this) Which is selecting all of the li's in my code. In the DoSomething(this) function I want to retrieve the TR underneath the table tab1. I'm having trouble figuring out the jquery necessary for this. Currently I'm doing something like this: function DoSomething(control) { var parentTab = '<%=tab1.ClientID %>'; var tr = $('#' + parentTab + ' > tbody > tr').has('#' + $(control).attr('id')).get(0); } This seems really messy but works. Is there a cleaner way to do this? If it helps the input inside the table will always be a radio button and a radio button will never appear outside of a sub table. Ideally I'd like to do this without having to know the id of tab1 but that seems impossible.

I've created my menu, but I'm having trouble adding it to wordpress. I opened up the header.php file since I want it to appear below the banner, and I paste it in it's own div, but it always "pushes" everything below it to the right. How do I stop it from doing this?
