• Forcing a save as dialogue from any web browser from JSF application

  Hi , I have a modal that will be shown and then I have an export button which should bring up the save dialog, if I have use h:commandButton, the validation checks are bypassed , but works well. If I use a4j:commandButton, validations are done perfectly but I dont see the save file dialog. Can somebody help me. thanks

  For some reason this function confused me: def protocol(port): return port == "443" and "https://" or "http://" Can somebody explain the order of what's happening behind the scenes to make this work the way it does. I understood it as this until I tried it: Either A) def protocol(port): if port == "443": if bool("https://"): return True elif bool("http://"): return True return False Or B) def protocol(port): if port == "443": return True + "https://" else: return True + "http://" Is this some sort of special case in Python, or am I completely misunderstanding how statements work?

Now, they would like a similar ability for countries other than the U.S. Has anybody implemented something like this for non-U.S. searches? How about general "find close to this address" searches?   I have written this function in Scala to calculate the fibonacci number given a particular index n: def fibonacci(n: Long): Long = { if(n <= 1) n else fibonacci(n - 1) + fibonacci(n - 2) } However it is not efficient when calculating with large indexes. Therefore I need to implement a function using a tuple and this function should return two consecutive values as the result. Can somebody give me any hints about this? I have never used Scala before.   Did somebody tried to build Qt 4.5 with Visual Studio 2010 (Beta 2)? Any hints on doing that successfuly? Later edit I tried to run configure from a Visual Studio 2010 console. There is no makespecs support for 2010, so configure fails because of that.

• MySQL: Digits (1.75) to Friendly Time (1 hour and 45 minutes)

  In my MySQL database, I have a float field named "HoursSpent" with values like "0.25", "1.75", "2.5", etc. Is there a way that I can have my SELECT statement format those values in a friendly format like this?: 0.25 = 15 minutes 1.75 = 1 hour and 45 minutes 2.5 = 2 hours and 30 minutes The "HoursSpent" field is supposed to only have values in 0.25 increments, but if somebody were to put something random like 0.16, it would be nice if the SELECT statement handled that by rounding it up to the nearest 0.25 (so in this case 0.16 would become 0.25, or 15 minutes).

  In VB.net the ANDALSO and ORELSE keywords should basically always be prefered over the AND and OR keywords. What is the easiest way to disable the AND and OR keywords?   I mean the one which was previously established as DB = Sequel.sqlite('my_blog.db') or DB = Sequel.connect('postgres://user:password@localhost/my_db') or DB = Sequel.postgres('my_db', :user => 'user', :password => 'password', :host => 'localhost') or etcetera. The Sequel::Database class has no public instance method called "disconnect" or so though it has "connect" one. Maybe somebody already faced that problem. I would appreciate any idea.
