You have to edit your php.ini file and add new extension "extension=php_imagick.dll" 4.) Save ini file and restart apache server. (If necessary, restart your windows) 5.) phpinfo() should show imagick enabled. after that I execute a sample script but its not working. it shows the Imagic class missing error. Please help me to install Imagick. :-(

Is there any work around? I followed the instructions in MS support here and tried: %windir%\system32\sysprep\sysprep.exe /generalize /oobe /shutdown /unattend:.\unattend.xml It did not work. Under certain circumstances, I need to tear down the VM Image from azure and re-deploy with some more changes. So sysprep has to run almost twice every week.

  I run vmrun.exe with listProcessesInGuest on the command line and get the list of processes displayed in the console window. The exact command line is: "C:\VIX\vmrun.exe" -T vc -h "https://myserver/sdk" -u "mydomain\myuser" -p 123 -gu Administrator -gp 123 listProcessesInGuest "[Storage1] QA-W-7-SP1-64-0/QA-W-7-SP1-64-0.vmx" It works fine. Now I wish to redirect the output, however, neither 2> nor 1> work! The former has no effect - the output is still displayed in the console window, so I conclude it is send to stdout. But the latter does not work too - now nothing is displayed in the console window, but the redirection file is empty! It is created all right, but it has the zero size! Can someone explain what is going on?

  OK, I'm a C# programmer that is trying to streamline the deployment of a custom windows form app I inherited and built an installer for with WiX (this app will need to be reinstalled regularly as I'm making changes to it). I'm not really used to admin type things (or vbs, or WMI, or terminal servers, or Citrix, and even WiX and MSI are not things I usually deal with) but so far I put together some vbs and have an end goal in mind. The msi does work, and I've installed it from the mapped O: drive on my dev machine and while RDP'd to a citrix machine. End Goal: Deploy code written on my dev machine and compiled into an MSI (that I can improve upon within the confines of WiX and whatever the Windows Installer Engine allows) to the cluster of Citrix machines my users have access to. What am I missing in my script to get the MSI to execute on the remote machines?   Is it possible to open the Quota Entries list for a given drive from a shortcut or the command line in Windows? And if so, how? I'm not talking about managing quota entries from the command line (fsutil quota), I'm looking for a way to get directly to the Quota Entries GUI rather than going through My Computer → right-click on a drive → Properties → Quota tab → Show Quota Settings → Quota Entries... I managed to find out (using Process Explorer) that the backend process is dllhost.exe, and the DLL in question should be dskquoui.dll, so it should be possible to run it directly with rundll32.exe, but I'm not sure of the exact syntax. Any ideas?

• Recovering OST file without profile

  We have a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and offer this solution to many customers. Recently, a customer had his personal Exchange server crash (which is what made him our customer). He called some technician to see if he could repair his server before calling us, but this said tech wasn't able to do anything for them. Now that all his mailbox are on our server, he would like to transfer his old emails over to the new profile, but the tech deleted all profiles on the client machines while trying to repair his Exchange server. So my customer still has the OST files but they are not related to any profiles. Is there any way to re-attach them to a profile, or to convert them into PST files that he could then import into his new profile? The only thing I found were third party software that could to the conversion, but I am wondering if Microsoft has any tools that could re-attach the OST to a new profile. I have also tried the scanpst.exe and scanost.exe to no avail. Thank you

  Not really a programming question but i think quite relative. I have a .exe running in my windows XP PC. This exe needs a file in the same directory to run and has no problem finding it in XP BUT in Vista(I tried this in several machines and works in some of them) fails to run. I'm guessing there is a problem finding the path.The program is written in basic(Yes i know..) I attach the code below. Can you think of any workarounds? • Windows 2003 shutdown instead of reboot

  Hi all, I've got a very strange problem. On the net I can only find problems with Server 2003 pc's, that reboot instead of shutting down, but in my case... (go figure) it does the opposite. When I choose to reboot, the system shutdown. Yes I am sure I used the reboot button. It happens via start == reboot and it happens when clicking on the reboot button when the update's have been installed. Nothing changed to the system's hardware. Only update's have been installed on the system. I did notice something odd in the logs when rebooting: Description: Timed out sending notification of target device change to window of "C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE" KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/924390 They talk about a removable drive, but in my case, it's explorer.exe :s it appears 4 times. The value of this 'command' key apparently can be any valid command line. I want to know which 'special variables' are available for use inside this command line. • Windows7 x64 clipboard failure

  Hi. I'm using windows 7 x64 and i need to work with citrix client. Unfortunately my clipboard stops working after 5-10 minutes with citrix apps. I can't copy/paste anything. But on citrix clipboard is still working. Problem disappears after rebooting computer. But it's takes too much time. Is there any way to restart clipboard process or fix this problem without rebooting ? Thanks ! UPD.1 Copy/Paste is broken only on my local computer. It means that when I'm pressing ctrl+c (also when doing the same with mouse) ctrl+v pastes nothing (in GUI menu it's highlighted with gray - disabled). Occasionally it repairs itself when I'm starting rebooting: nsd.exe crashes with some exception, reboot stops and then it works again. But I'm still not sure that problem is in nsd.exe (Lotus notes)

• Blank displays after inactivity, mouse cursor not showing up

  I have a Windows 7 Enterprise x86 machine that is exhibiting some strange problems. After some inactivity (it varies how long it takes), when I come back to my computer, both of my monitors are black. The monitors are on, with a black display. Moving the mouse and pressing keys on the keyboard do not work. This happens at least once a day. When I first encountered the issue, I performed a hard shutdown and restarted the computer. About 10% of the time when I did this, the resolutions on my monitors were messed up. The native resolution on the primary monitor is 1600x900, and the native on my secondary is 1440x900. None of the widescreen resolutions would be present in the display properties. I had 800x600, 1024x768, and 1280x1024. As a workaround to this issue, I've found that if I plug in my secondary monitor as the primary monitor, and leave the secondary unplugged, then Windows will start in 1024x768 on the secondary. Then, I can use Windows 7's "Detect" feature and it finds the 1440x900 resolution, and sets it. Then I have to connect the primary monitor to the secondary port and set it as the primary. Then I can switch the two cables, putting the primary into the primary, the secondary into the secondary. Then use the "Detect" feature again, and it finds the correct resolutions. Some time after performing the above, I discovered that when the screens were blanked, I could simply press "Control+Alt+Delete", type in my password, and everything comes up fine - except my mouse cursor. All applications and features work as intended, except there is no mouse cursor (the mouse actually works though...). I have the "Show location of pointer when I press CTRL key" option selected, so I can press CTRL and use my mouse as normal - but I have no actual cursor. When the computer is in this state, UAC is also not functional. Whenever a UAC prompt appears, the screens go black (the original symptoms) and I have to press Escape to exit UAC. Because of the above symptoms (the UAC black screen thing, etc) I beleive winlogon.exe may be the culprit. However, I have no idea how to fix it. I am unable to restart winlogon.exe due to the problems I am having with winlogon.exe (the UAC black screen) Looking for any ideas.... More information Windows 7 x86 Enterprise Domain environment (I have a secondary account with administrator rights) Dell Optiplex 960 Cannot perform "optional" windows updates due to an activation issue (I am testing a windows 7 image, and an activation infrastructure has not been created yet. However, this issue was happening before I was unable to perform windows update, and windows was up to date at the time Updated video card driver (as an attempt to fixing the resolution issue) Disabled all power saving options Please let me know what else you need to help me solve this issue!   When I run Disk Cleanup (cleanmgr.exe) on my work PC (running WinXP), it claims to see 778,520 K of WebClient/Publisher Temporary Files Although I do check that field, the number never drops. I've manually scanned through all possible temp folders on the drive and don't see anyplace hiding 760 MB of temp files, which makes me wonder whether those files merely exist in some list (registry or INI) somewhere but don't actually exist on the drive. So, my questions are: 1. Where on the drive might those WebClient/Publisher Temporary Files be 2. Where does cleanmgr.exe look to determine how much disk space is used by WebClient/Publisher Temporary Files Thanks in advance.

  I'm trying to get MySQL to function as a backend for authenticating users on CentOS 6.3. So far I have successfully installed and configured libnss-mysql. I can test this by doing: # groups testuser testuser : sftp Testuser is a member of the sftp group in fact, all MySQL based useraccounts will be hardcoded to it. The sftp group is chrooted and forced to use internal-sftp so they cannot do anything but access their home directory. Then I configured pam-mysql and PAM to allow mysql logins. This also works.. • Is it normal for Java /Tomcat to keep checking for java_pid<nnnn>.hprof?

  I was monitoring my JVM running Apache Tomcat 6, running on Windows, and I noticed that every 3 seconds or so the JVM process (C:\Tomcat\bin\tomcat6.exe) is polling to see whether or not C:\Tomcatcat\java_pid3748.hprof exists, where 3748 is the Windows process ID. I haven't seen write to the hprof file, just test for existence. (I'm using Sysinternals Process Monitor (procmon.exe) for this monitoring. In procmon the polling shows up as a QueryDirectory operation, which always returns Result "NO SUCH FILE".) Is this normal, or is this a potential red flag? I gather that these hprof files are generated, perhaps among other times, when you enable the -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError Java flag. I haven't enabled it myself, though I guess it could be enabled somehow in the Tomcat startup scripts.

  I'm trying to write an installer for an internal application we wrote. After it installs our application it then installs MySQL using the .msi installer in silent mode. I specify the install dir and data dir to that of a directory within my application's install directory, such as: msiexec /i @@MYSQL_INSTALLER_FILE@@ /qn INSTALLDIR="@@INSTALL_DIR@@\MySQL\" DATADIR="@@INSTALL_DIR@@\MySQL\" USERNAME="@@DB_USER@@" PASSWORD="@@DB_PASS@@" (the @@variable@@'s are replace by my installer routine using InstallJammer) Once installed, I use mysqld.exe to install a windows service with a custom service name and defaults file like so: mysqld.exe --install CustomMySQL --defaults-file="@@INSTALL_DIR@@\MySQL\my.ini" This works fine as long as there is not already another instance of MySQL installed. If there is it silently fails to install MySQL. Running the msi installer manually (double-click) shows an error that a previous version is already installed and just aborts. Is there a way to automate installing MySQL as an isolated instance, regardless of whether another version/instance is already installed?

  Hi, What is the best way to remove viruses from a Windows machine? Forgot to write down the message, but how I know there was a virus was because my wallpaper was changed to "You have been hacked" or something like that. I've tried reinstalling the OS several times but that doesn't seem to help. Somehow the virus still seems to be there. (i.e machine is slow and some unknown exe is always trying to access the internet). The exe name is something like ,,,,55786. Please enlight. Thanks, Tee

• Cannot run setups from a vboxsvr mapped network drive on Windows 7 within VirtualBox

  I'm trying to run an application setup by double-clicking the setup.exe from within Windows Explorer. The file is located on a mapped network drive, and I'm using Windows 7. This results in the following error message: The specified path does not exist. Check the path, and then try again. The workaround I found is to copy the installer to the main hard drive (c:) and run it from there; however, this is rather inconvenient. The same action did work on Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista. I have the impression that the problem only occurs with installers, as everything seemed to work fine with regular exe's. Is there anyone who can explain this odd behavior? Update: After some extended tests I noticed that the problem only occurs with a mapped drive of VirtualBox's "shared folders" (cf. vboxsvr). Mapping an SMB drive works fine.

• Problems Installing Windows Server 2008 R2

  I've just finished 3 day download (with breaks) of Server 2008 R2, and am very eager to install it on my dev machine (my laptop, an HP Pavilion with a 2xTurion 64 cpu). If I mount the ISO and try and run Setup.exe, I get told Setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application. I tried burning the ISO to DVD (as files), but my machine wont't boot from DVD. If I re-insert the DVD, so that autorun comes into play, I get told something like "the setup is not valid for this version of Windows" Any suggestions as to what I might try, either to diagnose the problem, or to avoid it?

• Install Mouse Driver on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

  I have a mouse that I absolutely love (been using them for years), A4Tech WOP-35. It has dual scrollers and 5 buttons, 3 of the buttons are programmable. I use them at work and at home. At work I am using Windows 7 Enterprise (32 bit), at home I am using Windows 7 Professional (64 bit). The drivers installed easily on my machine at work. Unfortunately, they will not install on my computer at home. When I double click on the Setup.exe, it asks me if I want to install it, and of course I click on "Yes", but nothing happens. When I say nothing happens, I mean nothing happens; it appears that it doesn't even try to install. The same thing happens when I right click on the setup.exe and select run as administrator. How can I get around this? I am guessing it is because I am running the 64 bit version of Windows.

  Alright, this is weird. First off, this is mintty running on up-to-date cygwin, with git pulled from cygwin's setup.exe. • Can't set Windows XP background

  I have a Windows XP (Home) machine with a very weird problem. I cannot set the background image properly. That is, I can go to Desktop, Background image, select a different one, but the background has still the same solid colour. Now if I kill explorer.exe, I can see the background image correctly, but starting explorer.exe gives me the solid colour background back again. If I go to Desktop, Customise Desktop, Web, there is a checkbox at the bottom called "Fix desktop icons" or something like this (not sure how it's called in the English version.) If I enable this checkbox, I can see the background, but the desktop icons are drawn with solid-colour backgrounds (even though I have the "draw icon labels transparently" option set.) If I disable the checkbox, I have no desktop background. Active Desktop is disabled. Any idea how to fix this and what might be the reason for this behaviour in the first place?

• CURL on PHP 5.2 works in CLI but not in IIS

  I have a Windows 2003 Server running IIS with php 5.2.8, I'm trying to use CURL, and it works in CLI mode (if i execute php.exe) but it does not seem to be registered when running under IIS. The output of PHP info in both CLI and IIS show the same 'Loaded Configuration File', but under IIS it does not give the CURL info box. c:\program files\php\php.exe -i shows ... Loaded Configuration File => C:\Program Files\PHP\php.ini ... curl cURL support => enabled cURL Information => libcurl/7.16.0 OpenSSL/0.9.8i zlib/1.2.3 phpinfo() ... Loaded Configuration File => C:\Program Files\PHP\php.ini ... NOTE: This server also runs php 5.3 in c:\program files\php-5.3.0 and CURL does properly work with that installation.
