• Drawing a 2D line on a canvas

  I have the datalist = 62, 76, 80, 72, 71, 75, 77 that i want to present as a 2D line drawed point to point. In my Wpf application i have a canvas with the height: 173 and width: 455. How do i go about it and draw a line by my datalist and use almost the whole height of the canvas? as it is now the data is just represented on a line at the bottom at the canvas, not using (and therefor giving a bad representation of the data) whole heigh of the canvas. It would also be nice to place it in the center of the box too...

  I'm creating a webapp using jQueryMobile. When I'm using the app and I click a button it runs the script multiple times. For example: I have a submit button: <input type="submit" id="login-normal" value="Login" /> And I have this JavaScript for debugging on which this error occurs: $("input#login-normal").live('click',function() { console.log("Test"); }); On the very first click it works (and it goes to another screen for example), but when I go back to that screen and I click again, it outputs multiple console.logs

• How to display the found matches of preg_match function in PHP?

  I am using the following to check if links exist on file.php: $fopen = fopen('file.php', 'r'); $fread = fread($fopen, filesize('file.php')); $pattern = "/^<a href=/i"; if (preg_match($pattern, $fread)) { echo 'Match Found'; } else { echo 'Match Not Found'; } if I echo preg_match($pattern, $fread) I get a boolean value, not the found matches. I tried what was on the php.net manual and did this: preg_match($pattern, $fread, $matches); then when I echoed $matches I got "Array" message. So I tried a foreach loop and when that didn't display anything I tried $matches[0] and that too outputted nothing. So how does one go about displaying the matches found?

• How do I bind a click to an anchor without a framework (javascript)

  I know this is easily done in jQuery or any other framework, but that's not really the point. How do I go about 'properly' binding a click event in pure javascript? I know how to do it inline (I know this is terrible) <a href="doc.html" onclick="myFunc(); return false">click here</a> and this causes my javascript to execute for a JS enabled browser, and the link to behave normally for those without javascript? Now, how do I do the same thing in a non-inline manner?

• Python/Numpy - Save Array with Column AND Row Titles

  I want to save a 2D array to a CSV file with row and column "header" information (like a table). I know that I could use the header argument to numpy.savetxt to save the column names, but is there any easy way to also include some other array (or list) as the first column of data (like row titles)? Below is an example of how I currently do it. • Browsing to Subversion repository location indicated in Apache conf file

What is supposed to happen here? Does it have to do with the fact that I'm behind a wireless router on a dynamic IP address (although I can access localhost no problem so...)? As you can see I'm on windows (Vista)

  Hi! I Created a grouped table view, and I noticed that placing an image in the imageView results in an image that is too large. It overlaps the rounded borders of the cell, which is horrible. I tried looking for a way to resize it, but I found many answers that didn't quite satisfy me. How would you do this? Which is the simplest way to go? When I click a user I get a popup with more detailed information about them. How would I go about printing just the popup for a user I clicked?   I am trying to intercept a asp.net web request and based on a lookup replace the page thats going to be rendered to the client. example: is a request for "/about-us" comes to my web server, i will first see if i have a version of this in the database, otherwise i will revert to flat files. The version i will retrieve from the database will be a .aspx page that has to be rendered and containt web controls and inline serverside script. What is the best way to go about this? I have tried overriding the CreateHtmlTextWriter method but this seems too late in the process as the TextWriter passed to this method is already instantiated. I have also tried to Implement my own PageHandlerFactory but this seems to create an instance of Page of which i cannot seem to override its internal setting of the Response.Output stream. Amd i barking up the wrong tree here? what is the best approach to take here?

  I'm starting on my first business project (.NET) and am trying to follow DDD principles. Are there any guidelines or common patterns for orgaining source code and namespaces? For example, do your domain objects go in a namespace MyProject.Domain or whatever? Would you separate the concrete implementations and the interfaces? In different namespaces? Different folders? Different solutions? I know a lot of this is subjective and dependent on project size, but a few pointers or suggestions to get started on a relatively small but extensible n-tier project would be useful.

• Sorting and displaying a custom QVariant type.

  Hello, I have a custom type I'd like to use with QVariant but I don't know how to get the QVariant to display in a table or have it sort in a QSortFilterProxyModel. I register the type with Q_DECLARE_METATYPE and wrote streaming operators registered via qRegisterMetaTypeStreamOperators but for whatever reason when I use the type with a table model, it doesn't display anything and it doesn't sort. I should specify that this custom type can not be modified. It has a copy and default constructor, but I can not go in and modify the source code to get it to work with QVariant. Is there a way of non-intrusively getting the behaviour I'd like?

• Image analysis on the iPhone

  Hi, guys! Hopefully a quick one. Working on a devious little algorithm that'll automatically scan a user's iPhone for a photo of some emotional poignance (e.g. go back in time a ways, look for one of a group of photos that are proximally timestamped, etc.). Need a quick-and-dirty way of picking out a photo containing two people in close proximity to each other. I know that the OpenCV Python lib [for image processing] works on the iPhone, I'm just curious whether it's actually the best way of doing this (from scratch or otherwise). Cheers!

• iPhone Application and programming Updates

  Hi When a user logs into my iPhone App. I store their userID and relevant information in [NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults]. This way they are not required to log in each time they access my application. When my application is live in the app store and I make updates to the code will this information be lost - will they then be required to log in? If so how do I go about preserving this information when I make updates? And while I can't image this happening but should a user choose to delete my application after they have installed it - how would I know that they have deleted it? I am using the push notifications and would like to flag the user as not being active so that I don't keep pushing out notifications to them. Thanks Very Much Cheryl

• Getting HTMLUnknownElement with jQuery.find() and an XML Document

  I'm attempting to load up an XML document (specifically an RSS feed) via an Ajax request, parse it, and insert some information based on said feed into my page. The code works fine in Firefox, Opera, Chrome, and Safari, but not IE7. Go figure. After doing some initial debugging, I've found that the XML string is being retrieved via the request, and the specific node type I'm getting when trying to parse nodes out of the document is HTMLUnknownElement. Here's the relevant code: $.get('feed.php', function(oXmlDoc) { var titles = $(oXmlDoc).find('title'); var dates = $(oXmlDoc).find('pubDate'); for(var i = 0; i < 5; i++) { parseNodes(titles[i].firstChild.nodeValue, dates[i].firstChild.nodeValue)); } }); The parseNodes function is never actually being hit because IE cannot access firstChild and, consequently, nodeValue. Thanks in advance for any ideas and/or suggestions on how to address this.

• How do I compare vectors in C++?

  I am trying to compare two vector objects, and return a single vector containing all the chars which appear in both vectors. How would I go about this without writing some horribly complex manual method which compares every char in the first vector to every char in the second vector and using an if to add it to a third vector (which would be returned) if they match. Maybe my lack of real experience with vectors is making me imagine this will be harder than it really is, but I suspect there is some simplier way which I have been unable to find through searching.

  I have page1.aspx and page2.aspx in a website I need to navigate as: Page1-- Page 2(on click of go back button, back to page1)-- page 1 I am using jQuery code to navigate: var pagename= "page2.aspx"; jQ(location).attr('href', pagename); I tried using same code in page2 to navigate back to page 1: var path2 = "page1.aspx"; jq(location).attr('href', path2); also tried below code and similar few others as well. document.location.pathname = '../Pages/page1.aspx'; But all it does is, navigate me to show Directory Listing, where it shows all page names under pages folder. Is there anything wrong with the code ? I tried to do it as per levels too, that is ../pages/page1.aspx .

• iPhone Accelerometer Values

  My question is about the iPhone accelerometer. Does the accelerometer measure acceleration or movement of the iPhone? What I mean is if I hold the iPhone and go from 0mph to 60mph, I would expect the measure of acceleration to increase in value from 0 to 60, but once I reach 60, I expect the value to return to 0 since I am "no longer accelerating" but am moving at a constant speed. Now if the accelerometer measure motion, I would expect it to register 0 to 60 and continue to provide a change in value as I move forward at 60mph. Sorry, I looked at a few books, programmed some code (values seemed to small to give a recognizable result over short distances or speeds), and a lot of web searches, and I am trying to get an answer to this question.   Hello everyone. For my app, I need to print out a series of outputs and then accepts inputs from the user. What would be the best way of doing this? Like: print '1' x = raw_input() print '2' y = raw_input() Something like this, but it would go on for at least 10 times. My only concern with doing the above is that it would make up for poor code readability. How should I do it?   Hi there, I've made a little script to convert titles into url friendly things. ie: 'I am a title' becomes 'I_am_a_title' My script basically goes through and turns spaces, apostrophes, commas etc etc into an underscore. The problem is, sometimes my url's end up like this: 'i_am_a_title_' with a trailing underscore... So i figure, add a little bit to go through and search to see if the last character is an underscore on the final result, and if it is, then swap it. I looked into the strrchr() function but I seem to be hitting a wall of my own understanding. How is this sort of thing accomplished?

• WPF Custom Navigation Buttons and calling one page from another

  I have a window which contains a Frame which references a 'home' page that has buttons on it. When a button is clicked I want another page to show depending on which button was pressed. I attempted to use NavigationService.Navigate('mynextpage.xaml') and that works however, I want to use a customized navigation panel. I call this.ShowsNavigationUI = false; on my 'home' page but the bar still shows. Is there a way to accomplish what I am trying to do? My page with the frame is a window so I do not know how to disable the Navigation bar there where I guess it is coming from. Further testing shows that the ShowsNavigationUI property is false yet the nav bar shows itself in the parent window once there is a second page to go to (showing the 'home' page in the history. TIA

  First, I wanna compare between 2 tables tb_wrapper and tb_summary to get the data in the tb_wrapper that doesn't exist in the tb_summary then save in $link. If I don't get the same data, I want to print the result $link. When I don't get the not same data, I want it to go to another process. • File/module structure in Python

  So I'm just getting started with Python, and currently working my way through diveintopython.org. The code examples are nice, but the vast majority of them are little four-line snippets, and I want to see a little more of the big picture. As I understand it--and correct me if I'm wrong--each '.py' file becomes a "module", and a group of modules in a directory becomes a "package" (at least, it does if I create a __init__.py file in that directory). What is it if I don't have a __init__.py file? So what does each "module" file look like? Do I generally define only one class in the file? Does anything else go in that file besides the class definition and maybe a handful of import commands?

• What do browsesr use to auto suggest values in web forms?

  If I come back to a web site after having filled in a form previously, the browser remembers my username (for example). I'm not talking about cookies remembering user names and passwords, but the way a browser will suggest a value for a previously submitted field. What controls this behaviour? My issue at the moment is that I have login forms on several small apps all running under the one domain. (eg www.example.com/app1/login/ and www.example.com/app2/login/). If I use my user name for app1, then go over to app2 where I use a different username, it only ever auto suggests my app1 user name. How can I change this behaviour? Do browsers use the fields ID to help remember this stuff? If I change the ID of the fields in the login form, will they auto suggest the correct values in future?

• Warning on standard headers after upgrading to NetBeans 6.8...

  After upgrading to NetBeans 6.8 on my Mac, some standard headers generate a warning. The warning is "There are unresolved includes inside <string>". <string> is just an example and <iostream> and <map> have the same warning. The project builds and runs fine; however, I would like to resolve these warnings. Has anybody else seen this problem? And is there any way to make that warning go away? I also didn't see this problem when I upgraded to 6.8 on Linux.
