    Hi guys, I keep getting duplicate entries in my database because of impatient users clicking the submit button multiple times. I googled and googled and found a few scripts, but none of them seem to be sufficient. How can I prevent these duplicate entries from occurring using javascript or preferably jQuery?     Hi, I can now if a session contain any changes which must be synchronized with the database with session.isDirty() But i have a simple field (modification date) that i would like to be ignore by it. Example: object Person( name,age,datemodification). if i just modify the datemodification field i would like that session.isDirty() or othermethod like this to return false so at the end no sql update will occur. Right now what I do is : Right click on my database, Tasks, "Generate Scripts..." manually select all the export options I need, and hit select all on the "select object" tab Select the export folder Eventually hit the "Finish" button Is there a way to automate this task? Edit : I want to generate creation scripts, not change scripts.

Here's the error I'm getting: The TCP/IP connection to the host <instance_name>, port 1433 has failed. Error: Connection refused: connect. Is the firewall blocking my access or what? Should I dedicate a different port for this application?

    Hi all, I currently have MySQL .NET Connector version 6.2.3 installed. I'd like to try out Database Manager from within IIS7, however, the dependency is on MySQL .NET Connector 5.2. When running the MySQL .NET Connector 5.2 installer, it says there's already an existing MySQL .NET Connector installed, and that this version can not be installed unless the other is uninstalled. Is there anyway to have both of these instances installed? Thanks! -Steve

ERROR at line 1: ORA-04068: existing state of packages has been discarded ORA-04061: existing state of package body "PACKAGE.NAME" has been invalidated ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called: "PACKAGE.NAME" ORA-06512: at line 1 Could someone list what conditions can cause this error so that we could investigate?   • AJAX in Rails - doing simple looping to update information when available

    I am trying to get put out a simple site, which would pool the database every few seconds and update the information on the page dynamicly, when theres something new inserted. I am farily new to ruby, but I understand the whole concept of RJS, link_to_function and soforth. The question is, what is the best way how to implement some kind of simple loop, which would run after the page is loaded and update the DOM if there is something new to display.     We have a website on IIS7 using ASP.NET Routing that seems as though it might be running out of resources. It just hangs after a few days, there is no error message or apparent crash. We are making sure every .Open command is matched by a .Close command on the database connection. We are doing the same with file Open/Close but there are very few of those. Is there anything else we should check?

My point is we're not talking about someone keying different passwords into the login box, we're talking about someone who has full access to your database (which has hashed passwords, not plain passwords) and this person is reversing the hashes, right?

Consider this example: Class User { public function User(user){ // Query database for user data if(!user) throw new ExistenceException('User not found'); } } I'd argue that it makes as much sense to simply return false (or set all user data to false in this case), rather than throwing an exception. Which do you prefer?
