    Hay, i have a field in one of my models which saves the creation date of an object created_on = models.DateTimeField(blank=False, auto_now_add=True) This works as expected. In my templates i want to list objects like this June 15 {{ objects here which was created on June 15 }} June 14 {{ objects here which was created on June 14 }} etc Any idea how i would go about doing this?   • Library for Dataflow in C

    How can I do dataflow (pipes and filters, stream processing, flow based) in C? And not with UNIX pipes. I recently came across stream.py. Streams are iterables with a pipelining mechanism to enable data-flow programming and easy parallelization. The idea is to take the output of a function that turns an iterable into another iterable and plug that as the input of another such function. While you can already do this using function composition, this package provides an elegant notation for it by overloading the operator. I would like to duplicate a simple version of this kind of functionality in C. I particularly like the overloading of the operator to avoid function composition mess. Wikipedia points to this hint from a Usenet post in 1990. Why C? Because I would like to be able to do this on microcontrollers and in C extensions for other high level languages (Max, Pd*, Python). * (ironic given that Max and Pd were written, in C, specifically for this purpose – I'm looking for something barebones)

    Hi, Sorry for this vaguely described problem, but please look at the problem from the Win32 API's perspective. I'm writing a Word addin using Addin Express with Delphi, and I use some other 3rd party VCL's also, including virtual stringtree, TNT controls, etc. Now I cannot input Russian characters in Word anymore, but I can input English and Chinese.... Since it's a large project I don't know where to start finding the problem, would you give me some generic tips, I'll be appreciated that! Thank you, and have a nice day!

  • PHP - BUG with filter_var and FILTER_VALIDATE_FLOAT

    I think there is a bug in this filter_var or maybe I'm doing something wrong: Try this: $options = array( 'options' => array( 'default' => 3, 'min_range' => 1000.0, 'max_range' => 5000.6, ) ); $VariableValue2 = 5698; $VariableValue4 = 5698.2; $chicco3 = filter_var($VariableValue2, FILTER_VALIDATE_INT, $options); $chicco4 = filter_var($VariableValue4, FILTER_VALIDATE_FLOAT, $options); It suppose to don't validate it... Infact the value: 5698 is greater than 5000.6!!!! But with FILTER_VALIDATE_INT it work FINE!! It return 3 that is the default value in case it don't validate it... PERFECT... Instead, with FILTER_VALIDATE_FLOAT it validate it... It return 5698.2!!! I'm doing something wrong??? Thank you to everybody... Samuele

    I'm new to Python (like Zygote new), and it's just to supplement another program but what I need is I have a text file that's a group of items for a game and it is formatted so: [1] Name=Blah Faction=Blahdiddly Cost=1000 [2] Name=Meh Faction=MehMeh Cost=2000 [3] Name=Lollypop Faction=Blahdiddly Cost=100 And I need to be able to find out what groups (the numbers in brackets) have matching values. So if I search Faction=Blahdiddly Group 1 & 3 will come up. I unfortunately have NO idea how to do this. Can anyone help?

    Hello, Cant really find any useful information on this through Google so hope someone here with some knowledge can help. I have a set of results which are pulled from a multi dimensional array. Currently the array key is the price of a product whilst the item contains another array which contains all the product details. key=>Item(name=>test, foo=>bar) So currently when I list the items I just order by the key, smallest first and it lists the products smallest price first. However I want to build on this so that when a user sees the results they can choose other ordering options like list all products by a name, certain manufacturer, colour, x ,y ,z etc etc from a drop down box(or something similar) This is where I need some guidance. Im just not sure how to go about it or best practise or anything. The only way I can think of is to order all the items by the nested array eg by the name, manufacturer etc. but how do I do that in PHP? Hope you understand what im trying to achieve(if not just ask). Any help on this with ideas, approaches or examples would be great. Thanks for reading p.s Im using PHP5

I'm opening mmc.exe as administrator and trying add Certificates or any other snap-in, then while loading that snap-in MMC breaks and displays following message and after that it closes automatically once I click on close button on that message. What could be the problem?     I understand the question title may be a duplicate but I have not found an answer for my situation yet so here goes; I have this simple peice of code // Convert the Filename to an X509 Certificate X509Certificate2 cert = new X509Certificate2(certificateFilePath); // Get the server certificate store X509Store store = new X509Store(StoreName.TrustedPeople, StoreLocation.LocalMachine); store.Open(OpenFlags.MaxAllowed); store.Add(cert); // x509 certificate created from a user supplied filename But keep being presented with an "Access Denied" exception. I have read some information that suggests using StorePermissions would solve my issue but I don't think this is relevant in my code. Having said that, I did test it to to be sure and I couldn't get it to work. I also found suggestions that changing folder permissions within Windows was the way to go and while this may work(not tested), it doesn't seem practical for what will become distributed code. I also have to add that as the code will be running as a service on a server, adding the certificates to the current user store also seems wrong. Is there anyway to programmatically add a certificate into the local machine store?

  • Add an array of buttons to a GridView in an Android application

    I have an application that will have 5-15 buttons depending on what is available from a backend. How do I define the proper GridView layout files to include an array of buttons that will each have different text and other attributes? Each button will essentially add an item to a cart, so the onClick code will be the same except for the item it adds to the cart. How can I define an array so I can add a variable number of buttons, but still reference each of them by a unique ID? I've seen examples of the arrays.xml, but they have created an array of strings that are pre-set. I need a way to create an object and not have the text defined in the layout or arrays xml file. Update - Added info about adding to a GridView I want to add this to a GridView, so calling the addView method results in an UnsupportedOperationException. I can do the following: ImageButton b2 = new ImageButton(getApplicationContext()); b2.setBackgroundResource(R.drawable.img_3); android.widget.LinearLayout container = (android.widget.LinearLayout) findViewById(R.id.lay); container.addView(b2); but that doesn't layout the buttons in a grid like I would like. Can this be done in a GridView?

I tried adding <DefaultSettingValue("False")> _ but that didn't seem to make a difference. I'm also using a custom ProfileProvider (CustomProfileProvider).

    I'm working on an older project, updating it. Part of the program has a toolstrip with many buttons on it, each with an image. I found that the images are stored in a Base64 encoded imagestream in the resx for the form and accessed as such: System.ComponentModel.ComponentResourceManager resources = new System.ComponentModel.ComponentResourceManager(typeof(Form1)); ... this.imageList1 = new System.Windows.Forms.ImageList(this.components); ... this.toolStrip1.ImageList = this.imageList1; ... this.imageList1.ImageStream = ((System.Windows.Forms.ImageListStreamer)(resources.GetObject("imageList1.ImageStream"))); ... this.toolStripButton1.ImageIndex = 0; //There are 41 images, so this can be between 0 and 40 I need to add another button with a new image. How can I add an image to this stream? I cannot use the designer, as it crashes as soon as I load the form (I believe because it uses a custom component with unsafe code). I could always just add a new image resource separate from the stream, but that would make that one button different and thus it would create problems with consistency, causing upkeep problems later. So I'm wondering if there is any way for me to edit the imagestream. I can access the raw base64 string, but I have no idea where to go from here.

    I am starting with emacs, and don't know much elisp. Nearly nothing, really. I want to use ack as a replacement of grep. These are the instructions I followed to use ack from within emacs: http://www.rooijan.za.net/?q=ack_el Now I don't like the output format that is used in this el file, I would like the output to be that of ack --group. But this made me lose the ability to click-press_enter on the rows of the output buffer. In the original behaviour, compile-mode was used to be able to jump to the selected line. I figured I should add a regexp to the ack-mode. The ack-mode is defined like this: (define-compilation-mode ack-mode "Ack" "Specialization of compilation-mode for use with ack." nil) and I want to add the regexp [0-9]+: to be detected as an error too, since it is what every row of the output bugger includes (line number). I've tried to modify the define-compilation-modeabove to add the regexp, but I failed miserably. How can I make the output buffer of ack let me click on its rows? --- EDIT, I tried also: --- (defvar ack-regexp-alist '(("[0-9]+:" 2 3)) "Alist that specifies how to match rows in ack output.")     Question: Using Ruby it is simple to add custom methods to existing classes, but how do you add custom properties? Update: (why do this) Normally, it is very simple to just create a custom class that inherits from Array (or whatever built-in class you want to emulate).   • Why is an Add method required for { } initialization?

    To use initialization syntax like this: var contacts = new ContactList { { "Dan", "[email protected]" }, { "Eric", "[email protected]" } }; ...my understanding is that my ContactList type would need to define an Add method that takes two string parameters: public void Add(string name, string email); What's a bit confusing to me about this is that the { } initializer syntax seems most useful when creating read-only or fixed-size collections. After all it is meant to mimic the initialization syntax for an array, right? (OK, so arrays are not read-only; but they are fixed size.) And naturally it can only be used when the collection's contents are known (at least the number of elements) at compile-time. So it would almost seem that the main requirement for using this collection initializer syntax (having an Add method and therefore a mutable collection) is at odds with the typical case in which it would be most useful. I'm sure I haven't put as much thought into this matter as the C# design team; it just seems that there could have been different rules for this syntax that would have meshed better with its typical usage scenarios. Am I way off base here? Is the desire to use the { } syntax to initialize fixed-size collections not as common as I think? What other factors might have influenced the formulation of the requirements for this syntax that I'm simply not thinking of?

  • Datatable add new column and values speed issue

    I am having some speed issue with my datatables. In this particular case I am using it as holder of data, it is never used in GUI or any other scenario that actually uses any of the fancy features. In my speed trace, this particular constructor was showing up as a heavy user of time when my database is ~40k rows. So my solution to this was to open editing on all of the rows and never close them again. _dt.BeginLoadData(); foreach (DataRow row in _dt.Rows) row.BeginEdit(); Is there a better solution? This feels too much like a big giant hack that will eventually come and bite me. You might suggest that I dont use DataTable at all, but I have already considered that and rejected it due to the amount of effort that would be required to reimplement with a custom class. The main reason it is a datatable is that it is ancient code (.net 1.1 time) and I dont want to spend that much time changing it, and it is also because the original table comes out of a third party component.

  • Add new SVN "repo" in poorly constructed repo/project setup

    Unfortunately, the answer to this question isn't quite as simple as it sounds... but I hope it can still be relatively simple. Please read all the way through before telling me that the answer is: "svnadmin create... duh" I'm working for a company that set up their SVN server in an odd way (at least in terms of what I'm used to). We've all been there, right? Rather than giving each project a separate repository... they have a folder on the server called "/var/www/svn/repos/" which is the actual SVN repo (has conf/, db/, README.txt, etc. in it). Then they distinguish their projects by adding top level folders into the ONE repository (ex: Project1, Project2, etc.) I don't like this setup and might one day get around to converting the setup to what I'm used to, where each project is its own repository (with separate logs, dbs, etc.) But my question is this: What is the best way to add a new empty project to the current setup? Is there anyway to add a new top level folder/project to the repo through use of svnadmin? It can/should just be an empty folder that I'll start building a new project in. I know that I could do this by checking out the whole singular repository and then adding a new top level folder into my local checkout, then re-committing. But I'd really prefer not to do this because someone has created folders/projects that are just GBs of log data... and I don't want to wait through the download of this just to add a single empty folder. Let me know if there is any more info you'd need to know. I do have root/sudo access on the server in question. Thanks in advance for your help! Dave
