  • Makefile issue with compiling a C++ program

    I recently got MySQL compiled and working on Cygwin, and got a simple test example from online to verify that it worked. The test example compiled and ran successfully. However, when incorporating MySQL in a hobby project of mine it isn't compiling which I believe is due to how the Makefile is setup, I have no experience with Makefiles and after reading tutorials about them, I have a better grasp but still can't get it working correctly. When I try and compile my hobby project I recieve errors such as: Obj/Database.o:Database.cpp:(.text+0x492): undefined reference to `_mysql_insert_id' Obj/Database.o:Database.cpp:(.text+0x4c1): undefined reference to `_mysql_affected_rows' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[1]: *** [build] Error 1 make: *** [all] Error 2 Here is my Makefile, it worked with compiling and building the source before I attempted to put in MySQL support into the project. The LIBMYSQL paths are correct, verified by 'mysql_config'.   • mootools fx working except in ie9

    This is my first attempt with Mootools, so I welcome a critique of the code. I have a dynamic list of images that expand on the 'click" event and contract on the 'mouseout' event. The code works fine in all browsers (FF, Safari, Chrome, even the smartphones) but not in IE9 (JS is enabled) Anyone with similar problem or solution? I plan to use a lightbox effect, downloading a larger & clearer image to the center of the page, instead of just resizing a small image. However, I am hesitant to attempt this, if there is problems with IE9.     I'm trying to wrap a standard sequence of steps in a shell script (linux/bash) and can't seem to figure out how to tell of the execution of svn status returned anything. For example ~/sandbox/$svn status ? pat/foo ~/sandbox/$echo $? 0 If I delete the foo file, then the svn status return nothing, but the echo $? is still 0 I want to not do some steps if there are uncommitted changes.     I am currently achieving the desired outcome with two PHP statements: $thisBlarg = $xmlResource->xpath('//blarg[@ID='.$someBlargID.']'); echo $thisBlarg[0]->name; But, not wanting to settle for second best, I'd really prefer this to be one statement, but PHP doesn't like this: echo $xmlResource->xpath('//blarg[@ID='.$someBlargID.']')[0]->name; And for good reason. But I can't find a way to force an xpath query to return the result directly. Any suggestions?
