  Hello, I managed to turn off antialiasing for the default font. The thing is that when I switch to typing greek characters, although the same font is used it appears antialiased. Is there any way to switch off antialiasing for greek characters as well?

  Hello, how can I change a default working directory/drive for shell in Emacs (on Windows)? Normally, shell starts in the same directory as the file in current buffer. However, when my current file is on D: drive, it starts in c:. Manually changing drive to D: in shell brings me to my directory of course, but I want to avoid this extra step. Is it possible?

  I know the Ctrl+Shift+Arrow_Key to select a word. But suppose this is the case: "Hello!, my na|me is Peter" Where the cursor is where the pipe is. I'm looking for some keyboard shorcut that select the word "name". The only way I found was: Ctrl+Right, Left, Ctrl+Shift+Left. But it isn't practical. Any hint?   Hello, I have Ubuntu Lucid Lynx installed, Using Gnome 2.30.0 I'm using a Laptop, HP Pavilion dv9000 I've stumbled on responsiveness issues with my keyboard, Sometimes it's really obvious - the keyboard doesn't respond fast enough to my typing. Checked sticky keys and all that, it's all disabled of course. Now, I also checked on Windows to see if the problem is Hardware or something, and there are no responsiveness issues there... I'm thinking it's Gnome (or the X). Thanks.

  Hello I use Privoxy on my XP host to filter/rewrite web pages, but it's slower because all connections go through Privoxy's single port. According to this post on StackOverflow, by default, browsers support more than one simultaneous connection, which would explain why going through Privoxy is slower. Does someone know of a similar application that could handle more than one connection? Thank you.

  Hello, I am trying to make it so my apache web pages will be in a chroot jail. I have set up my chroot jail as according to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ModChroot. However when i restart apache i get the following error logged: [error] No such file or directory: could not create /var/chroot/apache/var/run/apache2.pid [error] apache2: could not log pid to file /var/chroot/apache/var/run/apache2.pid /var/chroot/apache/var/run/apache2.pid is there with 777 permissions If i dissable mod_chroot web pages are delivered correctly from the /var/chroot/apache/var/www directory.

  Hello, I use Snow Leopard at home and work and recently realized that the documents I create in iWork Pages 09 don't look good in Adobe Reader. I go about creating a regular document and 'Print' - Save as PDF in Pages in OS X. The saved PDF file looks great in Preview in OS X but it looks pretty bad in Windows' Adobe Reader and even Adobe Acrobat in OS X.   Hello, I setup a Turnkey Trac virtual machine and am trying to set up the LdapPlugin to use use authentication through a local Active Directory. I tried using easy_install http://trac-hacks.org/svn/ldapplugin/ to install it and it claimed to have completed, however when I go to the Admin page and go to plugins, it is not listed. I have never setup a Turnkey server like this before and was wondering in which directory the Trac plugins are located on the Turnkey-linux machine? Thanks, Tomek
