  • Question about network topology and routing performance

    Hello I am currently working on a uni project about routing protocols and network performance, one of the criteria i was going to test under was to see what effect lan topology has, ie workstations arranged in mesh, star, ring etc, but i am having doubts as to whether that would have any affect on the routing performance thus would be useless to do, rather i'm thinking it would be better to test under the topology of the routers themselves, ie routers arranged in either star, mesh ring etc. I would appreciate some feedback on this as I am rather confused.     Hello, I am having some trouble with my iBook G4. It seems that whenever I plug it into the wall charger that it doesn't charge. It's not the charger's fault. There's a button on the back of it right next the battery, when I push it all five lights next to the button light up. I don't think where the charger is put in is broken. Any help? .

    Hello, does difference between timezones on Windows Server 2008 where backup was made and reovery console makes difference? Recovery console (wbadmin from command line too) is not finding any backup on local hard drive connected to server. Thanks EDIT: I'm working on Windows Server 2008 R2 EDIT2: This is not related to timezone. When I connected backup hard drive from Windows 2008 R2 Release Candidate recovery console runned from RTM system version DVD found stored backups from it without problems.

    Hello there, I am making my first RSS-Feed, and I want to host it like this: www.example.com/rss/ I tried to name the xml-file "index.xml" and place it inside the directory, however, when I type http://www.example.com/rss/ i arrive at "Index of /rss" where the file is listed as being part of the directory, but it is not loaded automatically. I am concerned about people who doesnt want my email clicking "report as junk"-button in hotmail, and understand that JMRP send me a message each times somebody clicks the button on one of my emails.     Hello, I would like to know if there is a way I can share : \\server\Scheduled Tasks On server 2003 with normal users, cause as far as I can tell it seems only administrators can see this share, is there anyway I can change this share's permission and add users or groups? I know I can change permission on the jobs themselves, but normal users don't see the folder at all, so they cant access the jobs... Thank You.

    hello, my main domain (domain.com) sits on a server with ip address 1. I need to have a subdomain (forum.domain.com) point to a server with ip address 2. Both servers are hosted at iWeb, so i have a cPanel interface to manage them, but i can't find the right way to do that. I tried a .htaccess redirection, which works, but the visible address in the browser changes too. Any help on how to do that would be appreciated. Thank you
