  • Show Detailed Error in SQL Profiler

    Is there any way showing the detailed exception for String or binary data would be truncated. I use LINQ to SQL and i cant figure out which column is that!? Tried numerous things but i get the same meaningless error i got from within Visual Studio. Also I use .NET 3.5 SP1, but errors are still returned useless.

    I have a MYSQL table like this: STORES (SPID, StoreID, ProductID); And data like this: { 1 | s1 | p2 } { 2 | s1 | p7 } { 3 | s1 | p8 } { 4 | s2 | p1 } { 5 | s2 | p3 } { 6 | s2 | p6 } { 7 | s2 | p9 } { 8 | s3 | p2 } { 9 | s3 | p5 } And I would like to: Use a MYSQL SELECT query to get results, where if a store has a certain product, then a list of all of the products at that store will be returned. For example, if I were looking for "p2", then I would like to know that "s1" has "p2, p7, p8" and "s3" has "p2, p5". Please let me know if you require any more information. I'm not sure what is required to solve this issue (Which is probably why I can't search and find the answer!) Thank you.

    I'm trying to figure out a way to display custom text based on the users selection of the variable product. The attribute is 'pricing' and the tag is deposit - which I've added a text description to when adding the attribute. So I'm trying to make this text appear when the user selects 'deposit' But the code I'm using in 'content-single-product.php' is displaying the text all the time no matter what variable is selected or not. <?php $my_taxonomy = 'pa_pricing'; $terms = wp_get_post_terms( $post->ID, $my_taxonomy ); echo term_description($terms[0]->term_id, $my_taxonomy); ?> I only want the text to be displayed after the user has selected pricing 'deposit' Can someone help me with this?

    Ok so I am learning C++ slowly. I am familiar with all the console syntax and everything, but now I'm moving on to windows programming. Now what im trying to do, is create a DLL that I inject into a process, so it's hooked in. All I want the C++ application to do, is have text in it, that says "Hooked" if it's successfully injected, and an error if something wrong happened. Or even if I can do it without a DLL, Just open an executable, and when the certain process I'm trying to hook is opened, the status is changed to "Hooked". Also I have a safaribooksonline.com account so if there is any good reads you would recommend, just write it down. thanks

    I have a front screen with a button which opens a second screen. The second screen can take a few seconds to load so I want to display a dialog while loading. My problem is the dialog does not display while loading second screen, but it displays when I return to first page from the second page. If I comment out the "startActivity" to open second page the dialog shows fine. I'm fairly new to android programming - I guess it has something to do with threads. //code snippet from inside onCreate: NewGame.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View arg0) { //does not get displayed before 2nd page opens showDialog(DIALOG2_KEY); //shows fine if next 2 lines commented out Intent i = new Intent(screen1.this, SudukuXL.class); startActivity(i); I've dealt with the dialog showing on returning to the front screen using onPause(). I've tried using threads to seperate the dialog from the startActivity but I've had no luck. Any help would be appreciated. I used code from Android examples to create dialog. I need to control this with a cookie, so when the user hides #wrapper it remains hidden on all pages or when they re-visit the page. I know there is a jQuery Cookie plugin, but I'd like to do this with plain Javascript rather then including another plugin. Can anyone tell me how i can build in it in plain javascript and merge with the JQuery to create a cookie, then check the cookie each time the page loads to see if #wrapper should be hidden or displayed?

    Hi everyone, I'm doing a theatrical performance, and I need a program that can read images from a folder and display them full screen on one of the computer's VGA outputs, in a predetermined order. All it needs to do is start with the first image, and when a key is pressed (space bar, right arrow), smoothly cross-fade to the next image. Sounds just like power-point right? The only reason why I can use power-point/open-office is because the "fade smoothly" transition isn't smooth enough, or configurable enough. It tends to be fast and choppy, where I would like to see a perfectly smooth fade over, say, 30 seconds. So the question is what is the best (cheap and fast) way to accomplish this? Is there a program that already does this well (for cheap or free)? OR should I try to hack at open-office's transition code? Or would it be easier to create this from scratch? Are there frameworks that might make it easier? I have web programming experience (php), but not desktop or real-time rendering. Any suggestions are appreciated!

    Need some help assigning a mouseover event to display some icons that start out hidden. For every <li> in the ul, I have icons. When the user mouses over the <li> I want the span tag with a class called "icons" to be displayed. When the mouse out event occurs remove the class and/or just hide the span. The problem for me is how to assign event so just the span tag and its contents appear and disapear when the mouse hovers over the <li>.   • Lightest weight ubuntu desktop for text editing in big terminal windows?

    I have an older windows laptop onto which I'm installing ubuntu within a VM. My goal is just to use terminal-based linux tools such as vim and shell scripting. I don't give a hoot about any gui for this box. So I first installed ubuntu minimalcd and chose "Basic Ubuntu Server". Upon boot, the text-based terminal came up and I logged in, but the problem is it only gives me 80 columns. I want to do terminal mode vim but have a couple hundred columns to take advantage of my large monitor. If you happen to know how to do that, please see my question here . This post is assuming that the other question is not answerable, and that I will need a desktop to get more than 80 columns in a terminal window. So if that is the case, I want the lightest weight one possible, because this is older hardware and all I want is the ability to have nice big text-based terminal windows for editing text. From the ubuntu minimal CD, I see options for Edubuntu, Kubuntu, etc. Which one of the available desktops would be a good choice for my needs?
