  Whats a better way to store textual data, such as comments, user profile fields that require them to type something in, etc? Store the escaped data right away (using htmlspecialchars in php for example), or put it thru the same function before its echoed out?

  If I have 'export BLA="hey there"' in .profile in my home directory, how can I change this later in other directories just by cd into the other directory? Also, is there a way to just set a new environment variable when I cd into a directory. My first attempt was to just make another .bashrc file in the directory where I want the change but apparently that proved less than effective. I'm on OS X btw.

• Why is png file looks different in firefox?

  If you take screen shot this web page in different browser, you'd see that it displays slightly different in firefox. (7.01, ubuntu) At first I thought it was because of color profile, but even if I turned on color management in firefox, the problem is still there. Although it's not a very noticeable problem, I got a perfectionist boss who asked to make it look exactly the same in every browser. Does any one know what might have caused the problem? Thanks!

• Is it bad to use a model directly from a view in codeigniter?

  I know normally the data is passed thru to the view with the controller. however, currently in my view I load my model ($this-load-model('Db_model');) so i can use it in a loop to retrieve a users profile picture path from a array of IDs that is passed from controller. Will loading the db model in the view to accomplish this make my site more vulnerable or bad form? To me it seems to be outside of MVC concept but its working atm. thanks

  Hello all, I have switched on the Codeigniter profile (very useful) and I have noticed that a page of mine shows the memory used as: 2,405,496 bytes That's ~2MB and it's for one request - does it mean if 1000 users accessed this page at the same time, memory usage will be 2GB? Have I got my maths wrong or is there more to this than just multiplying two numbers? Thanks all for any help

Here you can simply add the attached trkd_cert.cer (“Add” button) or get it from port (“Retrieve from port” button, host: ++++.com, port 443) But this is valid for Websphere 6.1.   Hello, I want to host a web application on a private JVM they offer 32, 64, 128, 256 MB plans. My web application uses Spring. And I store some objects for every logged in user session. My question is: How can I profile my web app to see how much heap size it needs so I can choose a plan?, How can I simulate hundreds of users logged in at the same time?
