  I installed Windows 8 on my home development machine some days ago. When installing a service by using installutil.exe I'm asked for logon credentials. Which credentials should I use here, as I'm logged on using my Windows live ID. Of course I can create a local Windows profile just for that, but my clients will ask this question too, sooner or later. When using my Windows Live ID (using my email address or the "local" username ms_001 as the logon name) I get the error: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: Access denied

  Does running multiple coaxial splitters on a single coaxial cable line effect quality of service for cable internet connections? Suppose there are 2-4 splitters between the cable line coming into a building before the connection to a cable modem, does this negatively effect the latency, throughput, etc of a cable internet connection by any measurable amount? Is there a maximum number of times that a coaxial cable can be split into multiple internet and TV connections before QoS suffers?

I am using command line to install/init database, dbinit -dba %username%,%pwd% -p 4k %dbLocation%, and start database server, dbsrv11 %dbLocation%, in a batch file.   Has anyone tried connected outlook(I am running v2007 on Windows 7) to a mail service using the MS Exchange Active Sync protocol? If so, how did you do it? Wouldn't this solution probably eliminate the need for all the hacks/APIs needed to connect outlook to 'X' mail (Gmail, notes, etc)? I know it is intended for mobile devices, but to me it looks like it is becoming the latest 'de facto' mail protocol for email/calendar/contact sync'ing due to the iPhone's support for it. Thanks!
